Monthly Rentals in Hornsea Mere

This is indeed a “little gem” as well as having everything needed for a stay extras including cake, coffee pods, milk and even treats for our dogs were there when we arrived. The property was warm, cosy and spotless. Jane answered a query I had within minutes. Other things regarding parking in the welcoming Victoria inn and where to park to unload belongings on arrival were helpful. From first booking, throughout our stay and preparing for departure Jane gave clear, concise instructions. There are 2 sets of stairs which in no way detracts from the quality of this property but perhaps may need pointing out to some with impaired mobility. Thank you Jane for a lovely stay.

Liz, the owner, was totally on the ball. From booking to arriving she sent me messages and kept me updated. All the instructions were easy to follow and the house was easy to find. The house itself was amazing, an old gothic Victorian villa that was warm and welcoming, retaining some original features. the location was excellent with direct views to the local lake or mere. There was a private garden we didn’t use as it was winter but which would be great in summer. The house was on the outskirts of the village but within 2 minutes walk you were at local pubs and a couple of restaurants. The main shops were about a 7-8 minute walk away. The beach is much further and we used the car.however we did not visit for the bach and were aware of how far away itwas. Liz was on hand if we needed her but left us to ourselves. There was a booklet full of local information, places to visit, best restaurants, a history of the house etc. All very well done. Would definitely return.

Really lovely place with everything we needed for a couple of days. I wouldn’t want to stay for a full week simply because there is no oven or hob but for two nights we coped just fine with a microwave, kettle and toaster (and the prize winning fish and chip shop only half a mile away!) The garden is such a bonus and totally private. Cabin is cosy, clean and comfortable. Hosts are nearby if needed but leave you alone otherwise. I don’t think we laid eyes on them once during our stay - which only goes to show how smooth and easy everything was, just as it should be.

A quite wonderful short stay in a beautiful lodge. It had everything we needed and more for a very comfortable stay. Immaculately clean and tidy. I would HIGHLY recommend this Lodge to anyone wishing to stay in Hornsea and who is looking for something that wee bit special. Location is perfect, with restaurants and Pubs within a very short distance. We couldn't have wished for better. My thanks to the hosts for allowing us to stay. Fantastic. 5 🌟
