Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Hovden

We stayed at Marco's place for a week over New Year's Eve. We were there with four adults, one child, two toddlers and a dog. The place was very cozy and above all big enough for all of us. It was clean and everything important in terms of amenities was on site. The view was incredibly beautiful (especially from the jacuzzi) and the nature around it perfect for walking. We felt comfortable and what can be emphasized very positively was the communication with Marco. He was always friendly and always easily accessible. We just found it a pity that the firewood was not included in the price, as we know this from other accommodations and that some things were distributed outside (dishwashing brush, mop, grill grate). We were a little surprised, but didn't bother us. So it's complaining to a high standard. If the world wasn't that big, we would definitely come back.

The cottage is all with all the comforts and very comfortable. The hosts, Hans and Annelene are very hospitable and we got tips for places to visit in the area. We'd love to come back to discover more of this beautiful area.

Brand new and modern cottage. Not everything was quite finished as some light inside and outdoor area. Large and nice bedrooms, and very nice bathrooms. The cabin did not have a freezer, nor wine glasses. Otherwise, the kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could need. Is around 30 minutes and walk to the alpine center, so recommend and have a car. We found a cross-country ski trail only 10 minutes walking distance away. All shops etc are completely nearby. Edita responded quickly and pleasantly to messages.

Amazingly beautiful with a big lake just over a small road. Rauland's ski area was perfect for our grandchildren (3.3.5 and 5.5 years) Plenty of wood we could use for both inside and out. We had a great week!

This was a last-minute choice when we realized we would be too slow in reaching our destination for the day. Iselin saved the day by responding quickly and offing her wonderful place. We had an amusing misunderstanding when the Airbnb translation service converted part of the street name to an English word and made it impossible to find in mapping software. But Iselin kindly guided us by phone and all was well. This is a beautiful and spacious place, but we arrived late and left early so we didn't get to enjoy it for long.

English The accommodation is just as beautiful as described. Everything is available inside. Everything was thoughtfully prepared in advance according to needs. We had a wonderful time with our family and guests. The host is attentive and solution-oriented. The house is very clean and functional. The kitchen is fully equipped. You can find the peace and comfort here that you may not feel even in your own home. If you’re looking for a helpful review, my advice is: don’t hesitate to make a reservation. Norwegian Overnattingsstedet er like fint som beskrevet. Alt du trenger finnes i huset. Alt var nøye forberedt på forhånd etter behov. Vi hadde en fantastisk tid sammen med familien og gjestene våre. Verten er oppmerksom og løsningsorientert. Huset er veldig rent og funksjonelt. Kjøkkenet er fullt utstyrt. Her finner du ro og komfort som du kanskje ikke engang føler i ditt eget hjem. Hvis du ser etter en nyttig anmeldelse, er mitt råd: ikke nøl med å bestille.

We loved the surroundings and the views. Highly recommend.

A nice house with character. Rustic maybe a bit outdated. But it doesn't always have to be the latest frills. Everything you need. The only thing we found inconvenient was the access to the house. Parking across the street from winding road with no speed limit. There are mirrors but we were always a bit queasy when parking out, as the road is quite busy.

Well equipped apartment in a great spot.

We've had a lot of fun with Judith and Bouke. We felt very welcome from the first moment. The house is delicate and well-equipped and the view is simply magical. It was very pleasant to cycle Gamleveien to Folkestadbyen and relax on the beach near the house. Judith's gallery was the very highlight of Folkestadbyen. The finest place there. We have acquired two fine works that we took home and hung on the walls. How lucky we are to have such wonderful memories from our trip! Our daughter got to play with the cat and she had a lot of fun out on the sunny terrace. Many thanks to Judith and Bouke for their hospitality and kindness! This place is highly recommended!💖

We were a group of 8 people who had a great time in Rune's cabin. In advance, we got a detailed and well written with explanations of everything we needed to know. Rune always responded quickly and was very friendly and accommodating. The ski slope is right next door, which was very convenient when the youth could come and go as it suited them. Would definitely recommend further :)

We stay for 1 night and it was very nice apartment with a beautiful view in balcony. Great host and clean room ☺️

Cute cottage apartment in beautiful surroundings! Can recommend. Alf Magne and Nina are very responsive. Hytta has everything you need. Just note that the slopes are only open Fri-Sun - which we did not check, arriving on a Monday. Our fault! Thankfully Hovden is only a 45 min drive away where we enjoyed the slopes and skiløypen.

This was a lovely new cabin close to the main ski lifts in Hovden. Very modern and cosy. Ronny was very responsive when we had questions too

Really nice place to stay, with great views

A really cozy cabin, with everything you need. We had small children with us, there were some things that were not so child-friendly, a steep staircase, but I wanted to book it again, yes no doubt. Cute host. Very good place for cross-country skiing, the alpine is a little more difficult, as you have to drive 2 km of transport to a children's slope. Shopping opportunities are a bit far from the cabin. Quiet area, overlooking the mountains in the background, we felt like the only ones. Great recommendations from here.

Really nice cosy cabin! Perfect if you are traveling with baby or kids… they have everything! Wish we had longer than a one night stopover!

We had an amazing week with the extended family. What a great cabin with lots of room for big and small. To be all together and retreat and relax. And then the surroundings were absolutely amazing! We enjoyed beautiful cross-country skiing trails right outside the door! Thank you for a great stay

A tip for travelers: this cozy cabin is a bit more off of the beaten path, so helpful to think ahead about meal planning as you may not be able to catch a grocery store or restaurant if arriving in the evening. We shopped ahead of time at a nearby town on a Sunday (only small shops are open that day). Ingeborg’s arrival instructions take you right to the cabin. There are several cabins surrounding the lake. It was windy, so we didn’t take the boat out but had a delightful time warming up in the sauna, which was a real treat after hiking in Norway. Travelers need to bring your own towels/linens and follow cleaning instructions to leave the place as you found it. We hiked the following morning at Kista and had meatballs afterward at the nearby restaurant, which was delightful.

We felt very comfortable in the cottage. Good amenities, comfortable beds. Great quiet location, surrounded by wonderful nature, beautiful view of the lake, hiking in the vicinity possible.Torrun was always easily accessible, responded immediately. We highly recommend the cottage.

We are very to have stayed here. So nice to connect to nature and enjoy this cabin house. So cozy with the fireplace and beautiful beams. The area is beautiful near a lake where we went on a little stroll with a wooden boat. Nice!!! Perfect place to read books take a swimm in the lake and hike. The centre of Fyresdal has a nice cafe Hvelvet. Good coffee and cinnamon rolls

I can’t say enough of how amazing this airbnb is but also how helpful Sunniva is!!! We stayed 3 weeks (we were here last fall too) and it was the best 3 weeks ever. There was 1-2 incidents where we needed Sunniva’s help and she responded and resolved it SO fast!! I would book here again in a heartbeat :) thank you Sunniva and this is a must visit!!! (Our dog has never been happier than here ☺️)
