Monthly Rentals in Husthwaite

We had a great two night stay at this lovely cosy cottage. It’s set in beautiful surroundings and with Lucy’s instructions was very easy to find. The cottage was clean and warm with a welcome gift of Cake, milk, bread and butter. The basics are provided in the kitchen, you’re probably not going to cook a full three course dinner in there but it’s perfectly serviceable for making simple meals. It is in a great location with easy access to lots of worthwhile places to visit. Most importantly to us it was within a 30 minute drive to Newby Hall and Gardens for Tractor Fest 2025.

Alison was the perfect host. Friendly and welcoming, nothing was a bother. Very flexible with out check-in & check-out, and the place had everything we needed for a chilled weekend. Very quiet little village but plently nearby if thats what you want. The local pub was under 1 minute away & did the best home cooked food, would definately go again. We'll definately be back to stay with Alison (& Henry & Ruby).

What an absolute gem it was to be able to stay at The Den and be hosted by Teena and her husband Martin! All communications were prompt, friendly and helpful and the provided handbook was also very useful. The hot tub was pre-heated for our arrival (which was a lovely and much-welcomed touch after a long journey!) and there was plenty of firewood to keep us going throughout our 2 night stay. The Den had everything we wanted and needed for our group, from amazing and peaceful views with a covered outdoor seating/cooking area, to its eco-friendly amenities. The communal open-plan space inside was plentiful and easily accommodated us as 4 adults and 1 medium-sized dog. Words alone cannot do justice of our experience; our only regret was that we didn't book for longer than a weekend. Thank you Teena and Martin ❤️

The cottage was a true home from home. The lovely Photos and descriptions didn’t give it the justice it deserved, always a bonus when you arrive somewhere and it is better than expected. Private and peaceful location stunning view. Sonia and husband were amazing and friendly. They helped me plan my stay prior to arrival, had a lovely chat in person whilst at the property and went above and beyond for our checkout. We loved our welcome hamper of local produce, such a lovely added touch. We would recommend Sonia and the property and hope we can return in the future. Thank you
