Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Isle of Sheppey

Just wow, this is possibly the nicest Airbnb I’ve stayed in! Beautiful house, everything was high quality, kitchen had everything we could need! We were a big group staying for my daughter’s wedding locally & it was just perfect! I’d come back to this area just for this house!

We had a lovely stay at Becky’s place. The house was very clean and comfortably spacious for our group of seven — no small feat when you’re trying to coordinate showers, tea rounds and who gets the comfy seat in the garden. The terrace and garden were a real highlight, with a little sea view that made morning coffees and evening drinks feel extra pleasant. The value for money was excellent, which we really appreciated. Now, the location… well, let’s just say Sheppey has a certain rugged charm. It’s not exactly buzzing with activity, but if you’re looking to unplug, stare at the sky and listen to seagulls with strong regional accents, you’re in the right place. The house itself is simple and functional. Becky was responsive and helpful throughout, and the listing was accurate. Thanks again for the stay!

I stayed for my 30th birthday celebrations and had the best time ever. This place was perfect! the decor, the location, the surroundings and most importantly Karen and her husband was so friendly and lovely and ensured I had a special birthday. I’ve stayed at Airbnb’s before and I’ve never had a host as lovely as Karen was, the perfect host we could have wish for. The swimming pool was amazing and me and my family had a wonderful time enjoying it in the sun with a BBQ. The cottage was spotless and a welcome hamper was provided and every little detail was perfect. The garden area was beautiful through out the day and so peaceful and relaxing. I honestly can’t recommend this place enough, it was truly perfect and I will definitely be staying again and recommending to everyone I know! Thank you again for making it such a special birthday x

It was really pleasure in staying in your house. The house is close to the train station and easy to reach different destination. House is very clean and provided most of the utensils which is required for a short stay. Communication with the host was easy and clear from the start to the checkout period .If I ever plannjng to visit again Dover, I will preferrrd to stay in your house. Thankyou

We really enjoyed staying at Amy’s place. The cottage is very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Amy was a helpful and responsive host. The location is superb, our first time in Rye but we will be back. We particularly enjoyed brunch at The Fig and dinner at The Union in Rye and The George Hotel has a lovely courtyard for drinks. The house was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and located in a peaceful, safe neighborhood. It truly felt like a home away from home. A special thanks to Richard for the manual with all the helpful information and the lovely personalized note and fresh flowers! It was such a thoughtful touch that made us feel so welcome. Ben and Katie’s cottage is a home from home, beautifully curated and very easy to feel relaxed. Ben’s clear instructions and quick responses made checking and settling in very straightforward. Very good local recommendations too. The location is perfect being only minutes walk from wonderful independent shops and restaurants and an easy walk to the beach. I travelled by train and it was only 10 minutes walk to the cottage. I also used the bus to travel to Canterbury which was direct and very good service. My daughter and 5 year old granddaughter joined me for part of my stay and also really enjoyed the cottage.

Such an amazing flat, beautifully decorated. Jasper left such clear instructions for everything. Loved the area of St Leonards. Would recommend to everyone!

Great little apartment. Really cool use of space in loft room. Appreciated breakfast bits. Bed comfy. Lots of hot water. Good selection of DVD'S. Not too far to walk to city centre. David was a great host and kindly let us park there for the day. Great find!

I was so impressed with this apartment, it was spotless, well located, fantastic sea view! It’s a short walk from the station, on the sea front. The kitchen is well equipped and there was ice in the freezer! Highly recommend.

I would highly recommend Anna’s basement apartment! Great space and she’s a very communicative host!

Reviewing on behalf of my son Will- they were delighted with Helen’s place. All as described, great inside, good location and on street parking- in Whitstable, a real bonus! Helen shared a lovely pub recommendation which they enjoyed, responded quickly and was very helpful with arranging check in as convenient. Helen also retrieved a very eagerly anticipated artisan brownie for them that had got left behind!😊

The location was perfect- you can see the sea perfectly and the place was super modern and once inside it has a feeling of luxury! Parking a little tricky, but it was free once we found somewhere and the front door wasn’t the easiest to get into but 2 super minor points as this really was such a perfect place to stay? The location was ideal for us! The bed was really comfy, beautiful kitchen and open plan living and the bathroom was WOW! Thanks for such a lovely stay!

Found Helen to be a lovely sociable host , directions were great , communications and information on places to eat and other stuff we asked for was very very helpful. We paid a bit more than normal for the room as it was May Day Bank Holiday Weekend and also there was a Peter Cushing Convention on in town , but we were happy to pay this price not a problem at all as we knew from the start how much it was , and please remember anybody who reads this ok they may charge higher this time of year but please remember the times when they may struggle in bad months winter etc , bad weather etc etc - so no complaints about the charge at all. The place was spotless , clean , relaxing , appliances in kitchen , tv and dvd (never really got time to use them as out all the time - but for anyone else this would be ideal , also board games etc. Bathroom was the highlight - massive with a free standing bath and a massive shower ie you are not struggling to move - fantastic. Beds where very comfy.

This was our third time staying at Heidi's place - we love it! And the little touches that Heidi leaves make it even more special - after a long drive, getting in with our dog, to find a bowl of water already out waiting for him makes a huge difference! Highly recommend, and we will definitely be back!

I ended up cancelling, however, the host was most accommodating, responded to my messages within minutes and will be booking to stay at a future date.

Alex and Jess are incredible hosts offering a wonderful and welcoming guest suite. The hosts were friendly, helpful, clear, and prompt with all communication; they offer plenty of recommendations for any potential tourists, and leave detailed instructions answering all questions. The location is quiet and peaceful, surrounded by many beautiful trees in just a 20 minute walk from the Canterbury town centre. Nearby neighbours are friendly and quiet. The place was completely spotless, featuring comfortable furniture and necessary amenities. Water pressure and temperature range was perfect, as well (a huge bonus). One note for tall guests is that the ceiling slopes a bit low in some parts (see the listing photos), but this was not a concern for myself at all. There is a slight hill getting up to the address, but the surrounding trees provide cool shade. Overall, I had a perfect stay and would totally recommend Alex and Jess’ place. Thanks for the lovely stay.

Great space for larger families with adult kids especially with one bedroom on lower floor and also having three separate bathrooms. View amazing. Relaxing airy feel. Big bedrooms. Will be back again.

We had a very comfortable stay. The high quality accommodation was spotless and had everything we needed and more, . Diana was the perfect host who made us feel very welcome and went out of her way to make sure we were happy. A bonus in the hot weather when we stayed was the air conditioning. The views from the Garden Room are stunning as are the beautiful well kept gardens. We hope to return again in the future. Highly recommended and good value.

We had wonderful stay at Simon and Laura’s apartment. The place was clean and felt really homely. We were able to walk into town for bars and restaurants, but there is also a few coffee shops and cafes at the end of the road which was useful. Very kind and responsive hosts. Thank you :)

I really enjoyed my stay at Tara's flat. Exactly as described, with everything you need for your stay, the flat was very clean and well maintained. Easily walkable into the city centre, and handy for the wider Kent area too. Would definitely stay again.
