Amazing historic 1800s Carriage House!

This little historic home was built just before the turn of the century and was one of the early homes in Raton. If you have a larger group please consider booking the Casita and/ or the Second story as well! They sit right next door and are equally cool spots! Thoughtfully updated to maintain its historic charm and add modern amenities. We've added fiber-optic wifi, mini split heat, and air, recessed LED lighting, a 5-burner gas range with oven, flat screen smart TV, and lots of original art!

It is 2 blocks off of Main Street in the original townsite, on the original brick streets, a stone’s throw from restaurants, shopping, & galleries. This spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home sleeps 6. You will have the entire house to yourself. It is recently renovated and beautifully decorated with everything you need. Well behaved, house trained dogs are welcome! The inside of the home is non-smoking but you are welcome to smoke outside.

It was wonderful! The sunrise, the surrounding mountains Peace and quiet! One morning off in the distance, I could hear a cow softly mooing and a rooster crowing. It was great! We had a rain shower and saw the most beautiful rainbow! This is some place I would like to live! The hosts were great. We met her one morning while we were walking down the road as she was driving into town. Very friendly! We also purchased some FRESH eggs from them! They thought of everything! I didn't need to pack 1/2 of the things I thought we might need! I can't say enough nice things. I wouldn't change anything! Thank your for sharing your place with us!

What a wonderful weekend thanks to a great place and a great host. As a part of the Grateful Living Lodge, the cabin was very thoughtfully furnished, and nothing beats very nice towels and linens to make you feel pampered. We were welcomed and shown around the cabin, including all of the quirks of cabin living. Our host adjusted our cabin without us even asking so that it better accommodated my family. It was just the break from the hustle and bustle of life that we needed!
