Our stay at the Sit N' Duck was absolutely perfect! The residence is well laid out with amenities to make your stay as easy and care-free as possible. Mary and Larry provided everything we could have possibly needed, and the washer and dryer were a helpful additional touch. If we wanted a beach day, it was only a 2-minute walk to a very secluded and peaceful section of the beach with great views, the sound of the ocean, and pristine waves. We brought a small beach cart which was easily maneuvered out and down the beach access boardwalk, but if you're packing light it wouldn't be hard to carry everything for the short distance. Even in the rain, there are wonderful covered sitting areas to sit out and enjoy the rain as we read a book or just chatted. Additionally, there's no shortage of things to do nearby in a short drive up to Duck or down to Kitty Hawk or Kill Devil Hills. We couldn't have imagined a better trip to OBX and we look forward to hopefully staying again in the future!

Michaela was a wonderful host with amazing recommendations for our stay in the outer banks. The home was very clean with all the amenities we needed. It’s a very central location and we enjoyed being able to drive a short distance to explore all of the outer banks. I appreciated Michaela checking in throughout the stay and felt like I could reach out if needed. 10/10 would recommend staying at Michaela’s!

very nice area. only 10-15 min walk from the beach. many of the restaurants and souvenir shops were 5-15 min away from the house via car. very convenient for a weekend trip.

This place is a GEM! The apartment was pristine. Decor was cute and offered a relaxing vibe. We loved the black out shades option. Top to bottom I can’t say enough. Rachel had every thing you can imagine you may need, down to a sewing kit. She thought of it all. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. The area was exceptionally quiet but we rode our bikes daily about 15-20 min up to Duck to local restaurants and shops. The back road will take you to the walking/bike trail and keep you off the Main Street. The beach is literally a one min drive to the parking area, which we loved having access to the private entrance. I also genuinely loved the soaps and toiletry samples. We’d stay again in a heartbeat.

My husband and I I had a wonderful stay! The place looked exactly like the photos—very clean, well-kept, and comfortable. The house was so cute and had everything I needed! Plenty of towels, clean bedroom! Mary and James helped with local recommendations and responded quickly! I was very pleased with my experience and would definitely stay here again if I’m ever in the area. Highly recommend!

Woods and Waves was the perfect spot for our vacation. Christy is an excellent and responsive host who went above and beyond to meet our every need. The apartment is cozy and adorably outfitted. The beds were comfortable (plus the alcove beds were equipped with an excellent selection of books and reading pillows). Every amenity was taken care of - the kitchen was stocked with dishes and cookware as well as coffee and snacks, and there were ample paper products and detergents for the dishwasher and washer/dryer. Every beach need was anticipated (including chairs, umbrella, and a backpack cooler). And the pool is a magical lagoon paradise that is shaded in the late afternoon - perfect after a day of relaxing in the sun on the beach. Don't hesitate if you're considering Woods and Waves - you will not be disappointed!!

Bradley was incredibly communicative prior to our stay and throughout with local recs & tips. The space was exactly as pictured, if not better. Everything was made better by the ability to bring our dog, Huey, who loved being able to run around the fenced in backyard. We will most certainly be back!

Great location near the beach and some fantastic restaurants! Check in was easy and the host responded quickly to all questions ! We hope to return in the future!

Liz and Steve were absolutely amazing. The place is the best airbnb we've ever stayed at. tons of space, super modern and taste, absolutely spotless, full of all amenities you need for a beach holiday, amazing bed and pillow, and more. Liz and Steve were also so incredibly accommodating to our requests that it really made a world of difference for our holiday. If this spot is available for your trip, do yourself a favor and book!

We enjoyed our stay. The location is very convenient. Peaceful, few minutes drive from beautiful beaches. Very clean apartment with comfortable mattress. Equipped with anything you need. My husband and me had "aperitivo" every evening on the balcony watching the water and the sunset.

We had a wonderful stay at the Riptide! Spent the week exploring the beaches, kayaking and going to dinner + taking in all the sunsets. It was a great location. Close to the beaches ~ only thing is you have to cross a major 5 lane road to get to the beach. The crosswalks are not super close so it wasn’t as walkable as we thought but it was still amazing and 10/10! We came prepared for not a full kitchen and no washer/dryer. Everything was exactly as described and super clean which was super nice after sandy and salty days outdoors. Would highly recommend this place for 2!

Our stay at Erica’s Airbnb exceeded expectations. It was exactly as described—private, spotless, beautifully decorated, and stocked with thoughtful extras. The location was perfect: centrally located to everything, yet tucked away in a peaceful, quiet spot. It had everything we needed and more. Our favorite part was being able to walk right out the door and hike up Jockey’s Ridge to catch the sunset. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place to anyone vacationing in the area. Thank you, Erica!

Christina’s apartment was absolutely charming. Perfectly clean and cozy for a 2 person getaway. Everything was exactly as advertised. It is very clear that Christina cares very much about her guests and works to ensure they have a positive experience. The location is a short walk to the beach and right in the middle of many things to do. We hopped on bikes and explored the whole area. Great local shops and restaurants all close by.

This spot was very enjoyable and very relaxing. It’s just a short 10-15 minute walk to the ocean/beach which was perfect for us. The amenities were a very pleasant experience. I’d definitely recommend!

Absolutely phenomenal, 10 Star host!! Pat communicated with me throughout our booking and stay. During our stay we did have a few questions and she answered quickly. She has a convenient ice maker within the space and while we were there it broke. She immediately ordered a new one and was going to send Chuck to get us bags of ice until the new one arrived. We weren't worried about it but just the thought of them doing that was a plus! She met us at check-in and was very thorough explaining not just everything about the space but also a whole lot about the area, places to go, things to do and such. Both Pat and Chuck are extremely friendly and easy to talk to!! All the extras she included for us was absolutely amazing! She truly thinks about her guests and we could tell it's not just a money thing for them! Just as described, the beach is literally about 100 steps away and so totally enjoyable!! We will definitely be staying at Heathsville OBX in the near future! Thank you so, so much!

The Recovery Room was a perfect getaway for two people. Very clean and well kept private space below a house. Just a short walk to the beach wish a crosswalk to cross 158 just a few blocks down the road. Gia extremely helpful with recommendations and provided all the necessary information for a safe relaxing trip to the Outer Banks

Rhiana and James were great hosts. Very responsive and gave super easy check in instructions. The place was very clean and perfect. The hot tub was awesome as well. Location was great and located a short distance to just about anything you could imagine. 10/10 would recommend and we will definitely be staying here again if we come back to the OBX.

My girlfriend and I visited OBX for the first time. Staying at Island Pawz gave us a good walking distance to the beach, and it had a great cozy feel for a party of two. This Airbnb had everything you need to enjoy your stay. I would definitely recommend anyone visiting OBX to stay. This Airbnb is very affordable and worth the trip.

Very clean. Right near restaurants and a Food Lion. Super convenient and awesome place.
