Villa Riza Chania heated pool/Hot Tube/breakfast

This is the best Airbnb we’ve stayed in, like a 5 star hotel. The villa is beautiful and luxurious. Everything is new and works. Christina the host is amazing, very helpful. Each room has a well sized bathroom with a great shower. A breakfast basket was left outside at 8:30 am each morning - delicious! The kitchen is spotless and has all the tools you’ll need. There’s a BBQ. The villa was cleaned midway and the cleaners did a great job. It is quiet and secure. We slept well. The outside space is stunning. The pool is a constant 1.5 metre depth so perhaps not suitable for very young children. The local village is small and very friendly. There’s a great shop 10 minutes walk away, and next to that is a good restaurant (taverna). You definitely need a car here but I’d recommend you have a car anyway to explore Crete. The coastal town of Almyrida is 10 mins drive away with restaurants and shops. Chania and Rethymno are approx 45 mins drive away. Both have lovely old towns.

A short walk from downtown Kalyves, but far removed from the hustle and bustle of the town of Kalyves. Several good places to eat, with some services such as medical and a pharmacy, a couple small markets with enough provisions. The location had absolutely amazing views of the bay of Souda, very private and quiet. The property is secured by an electric gate, to keep wandering tourists away, in that this accommodation appears historical in nature, maybe all that’s left of an old kastelli, based on the rock walls. I could be wrong, but I would guess that the actual accommodation is what used to be the powder magazine for the old fort. We enjoyed the place immensely.

Villa Louloudia. Sea-mountain-garden-pool. A dream

A fabulous holiday home for four adults looking to relax, swim, read and binge on local delicacies. The house and beautiful garden provide for great spots to sit in the shade for meals, morning coffee and sundowners. We had 10 days of sun and 32 Celsius, so we used the pool a lot. Great for chilling and swimming short tracks. Lunches in the wider Almyrida area are delicious and worth a short ride. The supermarkets are well stocked - we preferred the one at the east end of Plaka, which is an easy walk away. The house is well marked on Google Maps, the only reason we missed a left turn after Almyrida arriving was due to the darkness. Peter and Lydia are very kind and swift to respond to any questions, not that we had that many.

Really enjoyed our stay at Phy-Sea villa! Marianna was a great host who greeted us with a tray of fruit and cheese upon checking in and provided us with several wonderful dining and activity recommendations. The place itself is peaceful and close to Chania while feeling like you are getting away. Though there are many beaches close by, we also liked having our own pool. Looking forward to coming back!

Gina's villa is fantastic. It looks beautiful, has excellent amenities, is new, clean, just perfect. The view over the bay is unique. There are short distances to the bay to restaurants and yet you have full privacy. There is everything you need, including good wifi to work. Our highlight is the small path across the cliffs directly into the sea and the beautifully landscaped garden with trees, loungers and other seating. This house gets my full recommendation. I'm sure not to be here for the last time Thank you Gina for the friendly messages, the loving handover and the mega cleaning team. 🙏🏻☺️🥰
