Holiday rentals in Koutalas beach

We had such a great stay! We were so close to the water but also close to markets and restaurants. Dimitri was incredibly helpful and was there when we checked in and when we checked out, despite the fact that we got in quite late. Would highly recommend!

This is the best Airbnb we’ve stayed in, like a 5 star hotel. The villa is beautiful and luxurious. Everything is new and works. Christina the host is amazing, very helpful. Each room has a well sized bathroom with a great shower. A breakfast basket was left outside at 8:30 am each morning - delicious! The kitchen is spotless and has all the tools you’ll need. There’s a BBQ. The villa was cleaned midway and the cleaners did a great job. It is quiet and secure. We slept well. The outside space is stunning. The pool is a constant 1.5 metre depth so perhaps not suitable for very young children. The local village is small and very friendly. There’s a great shop 10 minutes walk away, and next to that is a good restaurant (taverna). You definitely need a car here but I’d recommend you have a car anyway to explore Crete. The coastal town of Almyrida is 10 mins drive away with restaurants and shops. Chania and Rethymno are approx 45 mins drive away. Both have lovely old towns.

Book this! Amalen Suites (only 5 for the entire property) is in the perfect spot! Close to everything but at night quiet and extremely secure! My favorite part of my stay was the staff that ran Amalen! Thank you so much Maria, Jakob, Tolis, and Josie!!! Everyone was so so so kind and gave amazing recommendations for my stay. The breakfast served every morning was phenomenal as well!!! Oh and! My all time favorite products are used at this location (Olive Era) so I was able to buy some bottles to take home too. And because I was traveling alone they checked in with me everyday and made sure I was safe during my stay which means a lot! I truly had an amazing time at this hotel and highly highly HIGHLY RECOMMEND for couples that are traveling through Crete. The city in which Amalen is located is large and can be tough to find parking all of the time so I also did love that this was close to many restaurants, shops, IG worthy cute alleys and a 2 minute walk to the ocean. Wir waren als Familie in dieser Unterkunft, es ist sogar noch schöner wie auf den Bildern! Man hat wirklich super Privatsphäre, die Straße ist ruhig! Das haus war super sauber es war an alles gedacht ! Eleni war super hilfreich bei allem , wir hatten sogar Obst Kekse als Willkommensgeschenk:-) Man hat sich super wohl gefühlt , was ich auch besonders gut fand , das schon Kaffee Putzmittel Salz Zucker und andere Sachen schon im haus waren so das man angenehm den Urlaub auch starten konnte! Das haben wir bei den anderen Villen bisher nicht gehabt ! Die Aussicht ist Mega, wir werden aufjedemfall wieder kommen

This is a spectacular villa and easily matches the photos. One unexpected feature was that one of the two pools was shallow for the kids. That meant they could stand by themselves and they would play in it all day. The adults loved just lying in it too! Nikos was a great host. He welcomed us on to the property and was extremely responsive with our questions. He even delivered extra pool toys and Greek treats during our stay. The area is very private with a short drive to supermarkets and some classic waterfront restaurants. It’s also convenient to get to Chania airport. We loved our stay here as two families, it exceeded our expectations and would strongly recommend.

House is utterly charming and authentically Greek village style atmosphere. Private entry courtyard is lovely with garden. Felt very at home and cozy with everything I needed. And so close to town! Dimitrios was very helpful. Even had yoga mat!

We’ve never experienced an Airbnb like this – in terms of both the villa and the hospitality. A heartfelt thank you to Eftychis and his wonderful mother – you made our stay unforgetable! We were seven people, including three children (one toddler), and everything was just perfect. The villa is spotless, beautifully designed, and extremely well-equipped – the kitchen had top-tier appliances, and the baby gear was modern, clean, and like new. The house is set in a peaceful location with a breathtaking sea view. When we arrived, a delicious homemade Greek salad and cookies were waiting for us – such a warm welcome! Eftychis was available via chat the whole time: kind, helpful, and always with great local recommendations. This place truly combines beauty, comfort, and care. We’d come back without hesitation. We really enjoyed staying at the Fedra Suites. The appartement is nice, comfortable and nicely decorated. We enjoyed the terrace to relax with the nice view. It was quiet despite having neighbours in the appartement beside. Georgos was very responsive and friendly. There are good restaurants that can be reached by walk (2-4 min of walk distance). Also very close to Plakias (5-7 min by car). This area is much quieter than the north of the Island. It is really a nice place to relax and absorb the beauty of the sea and landscape. We really enjoyed staying at this place and hope having the chance to return there. Nathalie and Dominick
