Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Lake Placid

Heather, Thank you so much! It is amazing how peaceful the house and that giant yard was, and yet we were so close to town. Everything was exactly as you described from the massive fenced in yard for the dogs, to the spacious house that easily allowed everyone to visit comfortably. We walked to town several times, and to grab the delicious food from the Pickled Pig. This house was absolutely perfect for our needs, thank you!

Wow, this place was a stunning find for us. Quite simply a peaceful wooded oasis with a breathtaking view of Lake Champlain. The house is clean, spacious, and accommodating. The little things like toys for our son, the pool table, and Adirondack chairs made us feel right at home. We enjoyed taking the Plattsburgh Ferry to Vermont, playing badminton in the yard, watching the sunrise on the porch, and cooking in the spacious kitchen. Marco was an incredible host and we will definitely stay again at this lovely house.

We completed the lake placid 9er hike on our stay. Great location with all hikes less than 20 min away (some less than 10). Spectacular view and incredible kitchen. Hot tub and sauna were great amenities for recovery from long days hiking. Place is as advertised and you cannot beat the view of the mountains. Highly suggest going to the hungry trout restaurant. Only a few minutes away, much closer than downtown lake placid and the food/service was great. Highly recommend this rental and hope to be back next year to begin the 46er.

We had a very great vacation at this place. Near to the WhiteFace mountain, the house has many accommodations (dishwasher, washer and dryer…). It was perfect for our family.

We were visiting family in Keene. Everything was clean and the fireplace was all set up so all we had to do is light it. Plenty of wood provided. 20 minutes to Lake Placid. Tons of hiking available. We will definitely be back.

This was probably the nicest Air BnB we’ve stayed in. Kitchen items were well stocked and in like new condition and very good quality. Would definitely come back here to stay. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms are new and very clean, hot tub was clean and worked great! If you’re looking for a quiet place to stay, that’s got all the amenities of home and is a reasonable (15-20 minutes) driving distance to village of Lake Placid… this is the place!

Very charming, cozy, clean, and quiet place. Everything we needed was available and well-organized. Checkin time was flexible so we were able to get in early and relax. Host and co-hosts were very helpful and responded to my messages quickly. Highly recommend the place. We will definitely stay again when we are in the area.

I wish I could give Deb and Doug 1000 stars! The apartment was amazing, truly a home away from home! The kitchen was STOCKED with everything you would need from a waffle maker, pans, to coffee/tea, to eggs! Deb even made us homemade gingerbread cookies which were DELICIOUS. Two out of the four days that we stayed, we actually made breakfast and ate in the dining room! And saw hummingbirds out of the window!! The living room was super cozy and we made great use of the electric fireplace (The weather was still in the 50s when we went). It also had a very comfy sofa bed which I slept on while my parents took the bedroom. They said their bed was super comfy too! There was even a noise machine in the bedroom along with some fans (they really thought of everything!). The apartment was also incredibly quiet and private. And we honestly didn't even pay much mind to the low ceilings. We're all around 5'7" and we had absolutely no issues! We cant wait to visit again, we will definitely be back!

This place was great. I've stayed in many ABNBs and this place was very clean. It was a very short walk to downtown which was perfect to catch a music show or grab some beers at the brewery. The neighbors were nice too. parking was easy. It's a basement on 2 sides with a walkout to the street like the photos show so it's cool and darker which was great, bc I like to sleep in and I didn't get too hot at night. had a great stay. I would stay there again, and would recommend.

a very nice and quiet place for me and my friends to relax! the river was sooo beautiful townake up to in the morning and we all made some s'mores by the campfire! right next to a nice restaurant and a Stewart's so we could even get everything we needed for the fire! would come back here again and thanks for letting us stay!

Audrey’s Porcupine Farm Barn was the perfect place for us and our pup to get some respite from our day to day grind. With scenic vistas outside our window the space was an ideal blend of rustic and comfortable, and Audrey was around to answer any questions and assist us whenever we needed. We would absolutely stay again - and hopefully will soon!

great stay! super clean with everything you need. walking distance to main Street in Saranac Lake and close to lots of restaurants and shops. hosts were friendly and can recommend things to do and restaurants. the window AC unit worked very well and kept the place cool.

This lovely space was perfect for our weekend away. From the super clean condition to the cozy feel you get when you walk in the door, everything was terrific. Our host, Brian, communicated very timely and kindly. I would definitely recommend this space!

Taylor & Drew were fantastic host. They were responsive with the few questions we had. The place was perfect for our group. All of the beds were VERY comfortable and we all felt very much at home. It was also very clean upon our arrival. We will definitely be looking to book their property again in the future.

This lakeside cabin was an amazing getaway from the busy life that we live. We spent our early morning having coffee on the dock while we watched our dog splash around and swim endlessly. The cabin was both far away from busy streets but also close enough to walk to shops and the nearby town. The cabin itself was very clean and provided a nice quiet place to relax after a long day of outdoor activity. We enjoyed using the kayaks provided as well as the fire-pit. We were fortunate to meet Walter who was kind of enough to give us a boat tour and a talk to us about life in the Adirondacks. We had a great time visiting and will not hesitate to book another stay should we venture off to the Adirondacks again.

Our stay at Camp Rousseau was exactly what we needed—a peaceful, nature-filled escape from the chaos of everyday life. Marilyn and Dick are incredible hosts—warm, thoughtful, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The cabin itself is cozy, clean, and full of charm. You can really feel the care and love that’s gone into this place over the years. We enjoyed hiking the nearby trails, relaxing by the fire pit, and spending quiet mornings on the porch with coffee in hand. The dog beach nearby was a bonus for our pups—they had the time of their lives! And the homemade cookies waiting for us when we arrived? Total grandma-level perfection. WiFi worked great too, which was a nice surprise in such a remote and peaceful spot. Most importantly—this trip will forever hold a special place in our hearts, as it’s where we got engaged! It was the perfect setting: just us, the dogs, the sounds of nature, and the people we love most back home cheering us on

Kari’s place was warm and accommodating, a lovely place to retreat into the mountains for a few days. The kids loved playing in the yard & we loved cozy evenings by the fire. Kari was such a wonderful, responsive host, full of local recommendations & when the coffee pot went on the fritz, she zipped over and replaced it immediately. We had a wonderful trip & would definitely come again!

This is such a lovely little cabin, perfect for a couple. The cabin and the hot tub are both in excellent condition. The bed is comfortable. The area is scenic and private.

I absolutely loved my stay at this cabin, it was the perfect peaceful getaway. The space was spotless, cozy, and beautifully decorated, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. From the comfy bed to the stocked kitchen, every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. The setting was quiet and scenic, making it ideal for relaxing or exploring the outdoors. The host was friendly, responsive, and made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay and can’t wait to come back!

A cozy cabin conveniently located. It was perfect for us and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. Sarah communicated before and during our stay and provided helpful information on places of interest in the area. We couldn’t travel without our dog (she is blind) and appreciated that she was welcomed at the cabin. I would highly recommend this cabin for anyone who wants to visit the area. I would not hesitate to go back.

We had an amazing time at the historic Ice House cabin. The cabin was cozy yet had everything you need to get away and spend time in the Adirondacks. Thanks for a great time!
