we had a great week at Maria's place. The covered terrace is the most beautiful room in the house with a magnificent view of the sea. The beach is less than 5 minutes' walk away, but beware, for people who have difficulty walking, the slope is rather steep to climb. Maria is very responsive and responds very quickly to messages. Agia Pelagia remains a small seaside resort very well located to visit the north of the island. Beautiful discovery

We had a great stay at this apartment for four days. The place was very clean, spacious, with a beautiful view of the sea, and in a great location for exploring the area. The hosts were very kind and welcoming, and the kitchen was fully equipped. We would be happy to stay here again.

We can highly recommend this accommodation. It's tucked away in a very secluded spot, which makes it wonderfully peaceful. At the same time, you can reach restaurants and a mini market in just a few minutes. A car is essential! The garden is stunning. The biodiversity is incredible. There's always something new to discover. The house is quite small and simply furnished, but that was absolutely fine. Everything was clean, and that's what matters most. The long driveway leading to the house can be a bit intimidating—it just slopes down without any railing or guard. But that’s just part of the Cretan charm. Giannis was always very friendly and helpful—thank you for everything! We also got to know the neighboring family and even visited them. Such kind people. And the animals! Aphroditi the horse, a peacock, chickens, and turkeys—our daughter loved them. Overall a great experience. We were very happy and would definitely recommend it. Who knows—maybe we’ll be back in a few years!

A beautiful Crete getaway in a great home. Charikleia will always be there for you to answer your questions, give you good recommendations and even bring some traditional sweets. The accommodation is very well located, quiet and relaxing with all the equipment to be comfortable during the stay. You have nearby not even a 5-minute walk to a small convenience store and a 10-minute walk to the beach and small restaurants (be careful in early November only 4 open restaurants). To get to Elafonisi or Balos, plan to drive 3h10 and 3h45. For a family of three we really enjoyed this largely livable place as a family. The pool is a real plus. It was a great vacation and I really recommend this place. Thank you again for your kindness and generosity. Thanks for the three of us!

Huge thanks to my hosts Nikoleta and Alexis! I loved staying at their gorgeous "landscape" apartment -- the photos don't do it justice! It's super peaceful and serene, with lovely views and landscaping and Alexis' art, plus some adorable visiting cats and a wonderful shady secluded area to sit outside. I arrived rather late (c 8 pm) but Nikoleta had been very proactively communicative and ensured I had perfect directions to the place. She was waiting there when I arrived and not only welcomed me warmly but also went far above and beyond, even offering me a bite to eat which Alexis kindly and deliciously prepared. They thought of everything and left so much food and so many supplies for me, even full breakfast supplies, very effective mosquito repellant and all toiletries/linens/etc. I fell in love with the place and the vibe, and especially appreciated being able to walk in less than five minutes down to the Knossos site when it opened at 8. Ten stars, I hope to stay again for longer!

This property is on the top of our list of all of the Super-host level properties we’ve been at whether Air B&B or any other platform. Premium quality and high marks for design aesthetics promoting maximum relaxation inside or in the yard with breathtaking views all day long and spectacular sunsets. All meals at the property must be had out doors! It was a perfect retreat after long days of sightseeing. We would rent it again in a heartbeat and will recommend it to family. John & Autumn

Our stay was wonderful. The house was lovely and the views and setting were beautiful. The hosts were friendly and helpful, and offered several recommendations for sightseeing. We had wonderful meals in the village and spent every evening on the terrace soaking up the beauty surrounding the house.

The apartment was spotless, well-equipped, and very comfortable. The location is peaceful and just a short walk to the beach and local spots. We especially enjoyed the pool—clean, quiet, and perfect for relaxing. The host was welcoming and helpful throughout. Would happily return!

My boyfriend and I spent five nights here for my 22nd birthday and it did not disappoint. The photos on here do not do the place justice and the local area is just the right amount of quiet busy also with an abundance of restaurants and bars. We didn’t get a hire car as we managed with the local buses as they are so much cheaper and we were able to get to beaches such as Saridari and Paralia Psaromoura, which we would recommend. We also would highly recommend a boat tour to Dia island if you are able too. Restaurant wise in Gournes we cannot recommend Nami Restaurant enough and it is a must! The beach opposite is a lovely shallow beach but we aware it can be quite windy hence why we explored other beaches - would advise if u go to these beaches you leave early (especially if u want a sun lounger)! We had the best time ever at My Sea Sight. I have no words to describe. Amazing, beautiful, peaceful place with a great infinity pool. Sunsets by the pool are unforgettable. It's super close to the city centre with loads of stores and supermarkets. You'll have plenty of options for great restaurants and bars. It's super close to the main bus stops and for the main tours pick-up points too. Stefani is absolutely amazing, super friendly and always doing the most to ensure we had the best holiday. It's such a lovely place, wish we had stayed longer! Stefani, you're the best host we could have asked for and I thank you for it! ❤️

We had a great stay! The reception was super friendly – our host waited for us, greeted us warmly and gave us a small tour of the apartment. He gave us helpful tips on where to shop, which taverns are nearby and where to find things. The contact was consistently straightforward and reliable. Had a wonderful vacation in the beautiful village Agia Pelagia, amazing location of our place. Dimitris was always extremely helpful and nice!

We had an amazing time at this lovely place. The view from the balcony is absolutely spectacular. And just a short walk down the hill, and you are right by the beach, where you also find some good local taverna. It does get a bit hot in the apartment, but the AC helps. Absolute highlight was the amazing homemade Greek food by host Eleni. Never experienced such hospitality in an Airbnb before! Will definitely visit again!

Stayed 2 nights in Heraklion at this property. It is as described and in the photos. Perfectly located for a very short walk to nearby bars and restaurants. Great local food recommendations. No noise in the evenings even though close to the busy district.

Marianna’s place was great - we had a very pleasant time there. The view over the Mediterranean Sea is stunning, and the location is easy to access. Her mum, Sonia, kindly made us a local pie upon arrival, and she was so friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. There are several excellent restaurants nearby, and it’s only about 20 minutes to the Heraklion city centre. Highly recommended!

Christina’s studio is impeccable, walking distance from the city center. Plenty of good restaurants nearby. Highly recommended!

Close to the beach. Parking available. Apartment has everything you might need. Helpful landlord. Everything within walking distance, car is only needed for day trips. Nice toys for the kids. The only downside is that it is next to a busy road with the necessary noise.

Kostis’ apartment is cozy, clean and extremely well located. The terrace is spectacular, offering great views of the ocean and an amazing sunset. We truly appreciated Kostis’ hospitality, always one step ahead of our needs with timely communication and great local recommendations.

We would come back anytime. We liked everything. It was also very nice to live in an area outside the tourist crowds and yet centrally located. Super friendly hosts and everything Tipi Topi😊
