The cabin is situated on 12 private acres in a remote corner of Madison County, surrounded by national forest, streams, and clear mountain air. The property has a history of artist residents, and we encourage creatives of all types to come seek the inspiration found by those that came before. The town of Marshall, an artistic enclave, is 25-30 minutes away, and downtown Asheville is a 45-50 minute drive. Hiking and rafting nearby.

This is our old home place on the farm were I was raised here with my grand parents. It was remodeled in 2006 with lots of love and holds a special place in our lives. A place to come and relax by the creek. Sit on the porch and rock in the evenings. Fire Pit available by advanced request down by the creek. The hot tub with the view of the river & the firepit with wood furnished is a great way to spend the day outdoors… Fly fishing, tubing , kayaking or just relaxing watching for wildlife that happens by is a great way to spend the day. Skiing, hiking, dining, wineries near by.

Penland School of Crafts is 20 minutes away. Choose from a wide variety of hiking trails, including the crest trail of Mount Mitchell, the highest peak east of the Mississippi, or driving the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway. Asheville known for its micro-breweries and eclectic downtown is an hour away.
