Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Malia

we had a great week at Maria's place. The covered terrace is the most beautiful room in the house with a magnificent view of the sea. The beach is less than 5 minutes' walk away, but beware, for people who have difficulty walking, the slope is rather steep to climb. Maria is very responsive and responds very quickly to messages. Agia Pelagia remains a small seaside resort very well located to visit the north of the island. Beautiful discovery

We can highly recommend this accommodation. It's tucked away in a very secluded spot, which makes it wonderfully peaceful. At the same time, you can reach restaurants and a mini market in just a few minutes. A car is essential! The garden is stunning. The biodiversity is incredible. There's always something new to discover. The house is quite small and simply furnished, but that was absolutely fine. Everything was clean, and that's what matters most. The long driveway leading to the house can be a bit intimidating—it just slopes down without any railing or guard. But that’s just part of the Cretan charm. Giannis was always very friendly and helpful—thank you for everything! We also got to know the neighboring family and even visited them. Such kind people. And the animals! Aphroditi the horse, a peacock, chickens, and turkeys—our daughter loved them. Overall a great experience. We were very happy and would definitely recommend it. Who knows—maybe we’ll be back in a few years!

Lovely stone cottage, up a steep narrow road with easy parking. We explored the area by car traveling to both coasts and the plains of Lasithi. The cottage is cosy and well equipped with the bonus of organic veg, bread and oils and eggs honey and jam.

We stayed as a family of six, four adults and two children (8 and 5). The set up was really comfortable and worked perfectly for us. The outdoor pool area is great and our two kids loved it - especially as there were lots of inflatables left to play with. We arrived at 3am. Xristos offered to meet us, but when we suggested with young children we'd prefer just to get in and get to bed, then meet up after it was no problem at all. We had instructions to call when we arrived, and the gate was opened for us. We were blown away by how well supplied the house was. Xristos was in touch in the week before to check if we needed anything in particular and couldn't have been more helpful in making sure we had everything we needed to start our holiday. Then we had a delivery of local fruit and wild artichokes as they were in season. Amazing. There was a dust storm before we arrived. Xristos promptly sorted this too. A great and relaxed place to stay, with an unbelievably good host. Thanks!

May 2025, 10 nights stay for three (2 adults, 1 toddler). Villa is really fantastic. Beautiful view of the sea and the bay. It offers plenty of space for more people (2 couples, 4-6 friends, 2 families) and for longer stays (storage space, cupboards and shelves, etc.). The furnishings correspond to the description and offer, even in the kitchen, everything you need. Our highlight was the covered terrace. Our flight was moved up at short notice. A significantly earlier check-in was no problem at all in our case. Stelios is a very friendly, helpful and dedicated host. We recommend him and his villa without reservation. Small restriction: the accommodation is a bit off the beaten track or the region is a bit scattered (mainly due to the geography of the terrain). Without your own car, it will be a bit difficult in our opinion. However, there is a free parking space directly at the house.

The villa is clean, well stocked, and spacious. Simos was incredibly responsive and great to communicate with. The area is lovely, with a few excellent restaurants in walking distance, wineries and olive farms really close, and Knossos Palace also a short drive away. It’s a great place to unwind and the proximity to the Heraklion airport is also a bonus if you’re flying off the island.

We have just returned from a week in Villa Majo. We took our whole family for a big celebration week, there were 12 of us in total ranging in age from 73 to 7. The villa was wonderful, so clean and modern. Loads of bathrooms and beautiful bedrooms with pristine bed linen and towels. The views of the Med were to die for and lots of relaxing spaces both sunny and shady to choose from. It is elevated from local beaches but it takes 5 minutes by car to get down to the shore where there are loads of great restaurants and bars to enjoy. The pool at the villa is an infinity pool which was immensely popular with all ages and there was a fabulous gym and sauna which suited of our tribe down to the ground. Loads of beach and gym towels were provided which was a great help. I have to say that the star of the show was Rena who discreetly looked after us all week. She was always on hand to help out with and little requests we had and is an absolute gem. Thank you Rena you are a superstar xx

We had a wonderful and unforgettable stay in Crete. Katerina welcomed us very well in this paradise island me and my sister. Indeed, she welcomed us at the bus stop to show us the beautiful apartment which is a 10-minute walk from the beach. The apartment had all the necessary amenities and it was very clean (the bedrooms, the kitchen, the shower, the sheets,...). Katerina was listening and answering all our questions throughout our stay. She showed us the supermarket which is 10 minutes away by bus where you can find tasty vegetables and fruits and local products like olive oil and honey. It also showed us the tourist places: the most beautiful beaches of Crete like the sublime Sarantaris beach, the beautiful Heraklion Cruises to Dia Island and the beautiful neighboring towns like Nikolaos. Thank you so much Katerina for your kindness, generosity and we will be back

Poppy and her father were very friendly and one of the best hosts. Poppy's father helped is with the luggage as the apartment is in the 2nd floor without lift. Her father was very friendly and showed us around the apartment. Poppy was very responsive and proactive, also provided us with little snacks and Crete sweets/Raki and small gift for my 3yr old.. as a host they were excellent. The apartment is as described and had great views also couple of beaches are walkable. There are also lot of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. This apartment is highly recommended and we would love to come back again. The only negative point is that the bathroom had a strong smell as it was without windows and had an exhaust.. but this should not put you away.

Perfect location for a relaxing beach holiday, the garden space is such a highlight!

Communication with Irini was great, location as described, very close to the centre of Aghios and all the restaurants and shops. Great view from the balcony and close to the beaches. Apartment was spotlessly clean. We had a car and always managed to find a space, this may prove difficult in the high season but they are car parks available. Would definitely recommend the apartment and visit again, thank you Irini 🤗

Our stay was not a 5 star stay it was a 10 star stay! Prior to arrival, Georgios contacted us to offer recommendations and ensure we had info to check in. Eleni met us at the villa and gave us a tour. She was so helpful, friendly and welcoming in addition to providing local recommendations for food and activities. The villa was extremely clean, spacious and tastefully decorated with effective AC. The outdoor spaces were relaxing and peaceful . The villa was very private with incredible views and beautiful landscaping including many fruit trees. Plaka beach is just a short drive and we went every day to the Island Cafe for coffee and smoothies. Emmanuel was so friendly as was everyone we met in Crete. We also rented a self drive boat and enjoyed cruising around at our own pace. So much to do nearby including restaurants and shopping. We all voted this the best air bnb we have stayed in. It is even better than the pictures and we would love to return. Thank you Georgios and team!

We had a lovely 2 week stay at the villa. The view and facilities were outstanding. The hosts were super friendly and very helpful. I would recommend the villa to all families and groups. We were supplied with everything we needed including cots and child safety gates. Thank you for making our stay so relaxing and checking whether we needed anything.

Had a fantastic last minute stay for 2 nights with my family. The villa has absolutely wonderful views with a stunning infinity pool. It is with in a short walk to restaurants and supermarkets, also to get the ferry across to Spinalonga. Very much recommend staying here .

The house is beautiful (just like the photos) and the pool is awesome — it’s heated just enough to make it enjoyable all day. The space was perfect for my party of 12, plenty of space for everyone. What really makes this place stand out is Celine, who meets guests on arrival. We had a health emergency when we arrived, and Celine was just incredible — driving us to a clinic, helping us get care at the hospital when we had to go there, checking in with us about our child’s health everyday. We are eternally grateful for her!

Everything around this beautiful villa was perfectly arranged and we felt super safe as 7 girls! Manolis (the host of the villa) arranged transportation for us from and to the airport and all the service from Anna Maria Villages was also good. In the villa itself everything looked nice and clean. We had a very nice stay :)

We just loved everything about this airbnb!!!!! The house was AMAZING, incredible views, incredible features, we went to the pool, did barbecue, breakast with ocean view, everything and more we expected! Konstations is THE BEST host we ever got!! Not only he was hiper reactive, attentious ( he made sure to got us on the airport so we arrive well, his mom cooked us food because they would imagine we would arrive late and hungry), incredibly generous and nice!! We have many tips and support during the full trip ! Everything and more that we expected! Thank you again

Haven of peace and serenity, we had a wonderful stay with a fabulous view of the sea! Many restaurants are nearby in the village as well as shops, and Heraklion is only a few kilometers away. A big thank you to Minas for his warm welcome, kindness, availability and all his valuable recommendations. We left this house with regret and hope to return one day!

The villa is absolutely beautiful! Perfectly designed and decorated for complete comfort, in an excellent location, stocked with everything you could possibly need. The hostess went above and beyond to make sure our stay was unforgettable. She has thought of every detail that makes it feel like a 5 star resort, with all the amenities, yet complete privacy. The village has a beautiful beach and great restaurants within walking distance. Centrally located on Crete for convenient day trips if you want to venture out. But the terrace and pool area make it so hard to leave! Would wholeheartedly recommend this villa to the most discerning traveler, and will return for another stay as soon as I can.
