From the moment we arrived, they were welcoming, friendly, and accommodating without ever being overbearing—a perfect balance that made our 2.5-month stay feel like home. Traveling with two dogs can sometimes feel daunting, but Rick and Tonya were incredibly dog-friendly and went out of their way to make my pups feel just as welcome as I did. Their home had everything we needed to cook full meals, and the kitchen setup made it easy to settle in for an extended stay. Other thoughtful touches included great water pressure in the shower (a must for me!) and a full-size washer and dryer on-site. It’s clear they’ve put a lot of thought into what guests need for a comfortable experience. By the time we left, we didn’t just feel like we had a great place to stay—we felt like we’d made new friends. If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll absolutely be staying with Rick and Tonya. Highly recommend!

We’ve stayed here several times. It’s always a treat: a big, lovely apartment comfortably furnished and with a great kitchen. (A grocery store is within easy walking distance.) it’s on the train line, which is convenient (and we never heard the trains at night). Highly recommended.

Everything about this Air BNB was perfect for our needs. This studio is located in a beautiful backyard garden under a redwood tree and surrounded by flowers and greenery. Its location in Central Alameda was very convenient. All the amenities are thoughtfully curated and included everything from bath products, coffee and tea, cups, plates, microwave, air fryer, iron and ironing board. Although it's not a large unit, I never felt cramped and I kept thinking: everything here is JUST RIGHT! It was the perfect place for us to spend a long weekend, and I would definitely try to come back here on my next visit to Alameda.

Dennis was a lovely host, very responsive and kind. Easy check-in, no need to coordinate with him as noted. Very private, cozy space and the washer-dryer was lovely to have! Would absolutely stay here again :)

Stayed at Oriel’s place during a recent trip to Palo Alto and couldn’t have asked for a better spot. The space looks just like the photos, everything feels fresh and nicely upgraded, with thoughtful touches throughout. There’s even a small patio that was perfect for enjoying my morning coffee. It’s in a great location too, just a short drive to Stanford and close enough to everything without feeling too busy. Oriel was super communicative, especially when some construction started next door. He went out of his way to have them hold off while I finished an important video call, which I really appreciated. All in all, it was a great stay. Loved the space, loved the hospitality, and I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town. Visiting from North Carolina

My husband and I stayed for about 10 days. Quiet neighborhood. Rick's place was clean and cozy. When I needed to contact Rick, he was available to answer my questions right away. He was responsive and pleasant. Accessing directly from the parking lot (covered, assined space) to the apartment was very easy and quick. I would stay here again.

It was a great stay! The location is excellent — just a short walk from Union Square, with easy access to restaurants, shops, and public transport. The staff at the Donatello were kind, professional, and always ready to help. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

I really enjoyed my stay here, the apartment was large and lovely with hardwood floors and thoughtful decor. It was nice to have a covered parking spot so close to the apartment, and I loved the little lounge seat in the bedroom. The closets were very roomy with big mirrors and there were lots of comfy blankets and towels and plenty of paper towels and toilet paper for guests. The bathroom had two sinks and lots of drawers and cabinets. The area was quiet and safe and the neighbors were friendly. I especially loved the water features on the grounds, and the patio had a perfect view of the fountains and beautiful redwood trees. The hosts were great and answered the few questions I had. It was very peaceful and I would definitely stay here again!

Had a lovely stay with extended family, including 5 adults and 2 young toddlers. It was plenty spacious and very comfortable for the whole group. The location was very convenient, walking distance from great restaurants, coffee shops, and playgrounds for the kids, and just a short drive from any other sights we wanted to see. We enjoyed the fully equipped kitchen, beautiful backyard to hang out and relax in, and charming interior decor. Would not hesitate to book again!

Clean and well-outfitted with beautiful views from the shared patio. It functions well as an efficiency apartment. Bernal Heights is a lovely, low-key, hilly neighborhood with a nice and compact main street that’s only a short walk away. Nancy was very responsive to all questions.
