Our stay at La Casa dell Abate was truly wonderful and memorable and I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys beauty and comfort off the beaten path. From the moment we arrived, Allesio was welcoming, friendly, showed us around the home and offered tips on what to do. He will also offer you the opportunity for a pasta class or gourmet dinner which is prepared by their friend Francesco, in the private garden/outdoor kitchen. We really enjoyed this experience. Their home is beautifully decorated yet maintains the charm of the 16th century in which the village was built. We slept great in the peaceful surroundings and the comfortable beds with nice linens. Our stay with Sheila and Silvia was fantastic! They were terrific hosts, and the property exceeded our expectations with its beauty and impeccable cleanliness. We opted for extra meals and a cooking class, and everything was outstanding. Silvia is an incredible chef, and the dinners she prepared were some of our best meals during our trip to Italy. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped with everything needed for cooking. The property offers stunning views, nestled in the hills about a 20-25 minute drive from Cortona via scenic, winding roads, so having a car is essential. There’s so much to explore within a 30-minute to 2-hour drive, from lakeside towns and wine tastings to thermal baths, spas, charming medieval villages, and plenty of Michelin-starred restaurants. I highly recommend booking here for a relaxing, delicious, and comfortable getaway.

We had a wonderful time in this charming accommodation in Tuscany! Everything was just like in the pictures – clean, tastefully furnished and with great attention to detail. The host and his wife were incredibly friendly and helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We felt completely comfortable and can wholeheartedly recommend this place!

What a wonderful stay. Perfect house for a family holiday with plenty of space for everyone. The house is beautiful and the beds all king size and comfy. The outdoor space and pool are perfect for relaxing after exploring the local area. Within easy reach of exploring the Tuscan gems of Siena and Montipluciano as well as lesser known villages such as spectacular Montone. Alessandro was so responsive and helpful providing recommendations for wine tours and a local chef. The local restaurant Mimmi is not to be missed - authentic home cooked food that was one of the best meals we ate - and the bar was set high. Thank you Alessandro for a wonderful and memorable stay.

Our stay at Il Posto was something out of a dream. Truly the best Airbnb stay we’ve ever had. Rachel and Delfo are the kindest and most thoughtful hosts and are available for any questions and recommendations. The rooms are very spacious and the beds are so comfortable. We felt at home immediately and hope to visit again and again! Delfo is an incredible chef and Rachel pairs the perfect wines. We recommend the truffle hunt with their neighbor Luca, if you visit during the season. The rectory is very cozy but has a lot of space for a big group, including our almost 2 year old son. It’s really the perfect place to visit with friends and family. There’s a lot of hiking nearby and the town is super close. Rachel has excellent recommendations. Il Posto is also a working farm. The eggs, olive oil, and honey are soo fresh! We are already talking about our next trip!

To assess this property, we must start with the HOST, a professional in every sense. From the minute 0 of the reservation, until the departure; always attentive, very kind and very professional. It is a pleasure to meet serious people and this gives value to the application. The beach house is a paradise in Italy. Easy access, attention to detail, peace, nature, comfort. Our trip was as a family with our two poodles and I think they were the ones who enjoyed the property the most, seeing them run and jump through the green areas of the property and live with many birds, rabbits is priceless. Our daughter enjoyed her stay studying and with the peace and tranquility of the place, it was not difficult for her to concentrate. We, on the other hand, did some sightseeing in the area, all very close and well connected by road. It is a very well-kept, safe property and above all, enjoying its sunset, sitting on a lounger, enjoying a good wine (from the area) is a unique experience. Thank you Maurizio.

We were there for 4 days and it was simply fantastic. The arrival was smooth and Flavia welcomed us very warmly on site. After a short tour of the house and a short briefing, the holiday could begin. A note with restaurant recommendations and excursion destinations was ready on the table. After a short thunderstorm, we had a power outage, but Flavia was immediately available and within 5 minutes we had power again. Shopping and restaurants are easily accessible by car. I can recommend this accommodation to anyone who longs for peace and wants to enjoy nature. We will be happy to come back!

Nothing but positive things to say about our beautiful stay at Susan and Salvatore’s slice of heaven. The most stunning panoramic views of the lake and countryside. Something straight out of Pinterest or a magazine :) They were always super responsive and more than happy to help with local recommendations. It’s a great base to explore Umbria and Tuscany by car as it’s basically on the border to both. We would go back in a heartbeat. Thanks again for a beautiful stay :)
