House holiday rentals in Nakagyo Ward

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb in Kyoto! The home was spotless, well-maintained, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The location was perfect—quiet yet conveniently close to shops, restaurants, and public transit, making it easy to explore the city. The amenities were top-notch, and everything worked exactly as described. My family and I had a fantastic time here and would absolutely stay again. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kyoto!

The location is excellent. It is hardly a 5 minute walk to Shin osaka station. There are lots of shop and restaurants nearby the house. There was only one minor inconvenience. The floors were really squeaky, once our kid slept even tip toing didn’t help to prevent the noise from walking on floor. But as she slept like a log after tiring day it didn’t wake her up. Even the kitchen chairs etc seemed a bit outdated and were a bit loose and squeaky. There is only one bathroom and one western toilet.

A great place a bit out the way, I would definitely stay again .I would recommend to rent a car or a bicycle to get back at night. the local Transit shuts down 8ish. but a very nice place. just look for all the boats.

Wonderful place to stay with family

The place was wonderful, and description was perfect. It was walking distance to food, massage, and close to train station. I highly recommend if you are visiting Kyoto.

Emily’s place is just gorgeous. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. It’s in a quiet neighbourhood a short walk from Nijo station. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. Such a wonderful and traditional style home! Very modern and clean amenities. Nice & private. Close to supermarkets and some shops. Excellent communication from the hosts. It’s around a 30 minute walk into the CBD. Awesome shops in the city. Highly recommend. :)

Beautiful home that blends modern and traditional Japanese architecture. Every light is a dimmable LED on the main floor, and we appreciated the glass-walled garden at the center. Upstairs we only used the main room room, but everything is tatami mats and shoji screens so it's very peaceful.

Mamoru’s wonderful traditional Japanese l home Nachiya was the highlight of our trip. We loved the traditional Japanese aesthetics and had a wonderful stay! The home was exactly as described—clean, cozy, and in a great location. The check-in process was smooth, and the host was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The kitchen was well-stocked, the beds were comfortable, and we really appreciated the thoughtful touches like coffee, drinks & snacks, and local recommendations. We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

It is a gorgeous place located really close to Inari shrine and plenty of Izakayas. We had a lot of fun staying here as a group of friends.

The best stay we had in Japan! A traditional house that has everything you need! It’s peaceful and quiet with a beautiful little backyard with a bathtub. It’s spotless and crystal clean! The location is unbeatable, close to transportation and all the main attractions! Communication was excellent and the host was proactive! We went everywhere by foot! We had an amazing experience and I couldn’t recommend the accommodation enough when in Kyoto!

We had a great stay in Kyoto! The location was super convenient—just about a 10-minute walk to Gojo Station, which made getting around the city really easy. The home itself was exactly like the photos: clean, thoughtfully designed, and comfortable. One of the highlights for us was the traditional Japanese bathtub. It was deep and relaxing—perfect after a day of exploring. The host also stocked the kitchen with useful basics like soy sauce, salt, and pepper, which was a nice touch and made it feel more like home. The washing machine with a dryer function came in handy, especially since we were traveling light. And the host was very responsive whenever we had a question or needed anything. Overall, it was a great experience and I’d definitely stay here again if we come back to Kyoto.

It was a pleasure to stay at this place. Comfortable and cosy. Friendly hosts. As mentioned in some other reviews, you can hear a nearby noisy street in the evening. Otherwise it's a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood.

Children and family friendly. Our family of 5, kids(5,9,13) settle in quite quick. The house is really well thought out. We pack light as the washer and dryer were available to use. Kids were entertained with endless toys and games. We had our morning coffee in the garden, it the place to be. Beds were just right, I normally travel with my own pillow as most of them seem to be to high. But these pillow were just right. Place was easy to find on Google map. House Is located on a quite street but close enough to the main road. Love that they have every power adapters available for travellers. Kitchen is fully equipped, microwave, oven, cooktop, griller, even children’s utensils. Eating in is easy when the kids has had a big day. This is a tradition house built with all the Modern features. Air conditioning and heating for comfort. We would definitely recommend this place. Host is very responsive. Thank you for hosting us .

We have visited Kyoto a number of times, and Araki's house is definitely the best place we have stayed at. I cannot recommend it highly enough, and Akari is very friendly and helpful as well.

This is the first time I've written a review with so much care, because the boss is worth it!!The house is very quiet, the area is very large, the surrounding transportation is very convenient, the furnishings are very Kyoto-like, and the free green tea is delicious.Before check-in, the boss carefully sent us the check-in method and things to note, and the whole process was smooth.In 9 days in Japan, this was our most satisfying B&B.Due to the rush of the trip, I left my belongings in the B&B. The owner, who hadn't eaten lunch, helped me contact the courier, which took several hours. I was very touched!Great value for money, highly recommended!
