Holiday rentals with lake access in Nantahala Lake

Nice lake house to stay for vacation with my adult children and their families. We had space to all be together and also have a separate space for each family. Enjoyed morning coffee on the deck looking at lake and mountains and loved the fire pit, was great space to relax and share family laughs at end of the day.

This was such a sweet stay and we wish we could have stayed longer! Beautiful location - my husband enjoyed fly fishing during the day on the water and I was only 20 minutes from kayaking at the NOC. The house was very clean - tidy bathroom and kitchen with all your basics stocked to get you started. Hot tub was lovely and very clean! There is a steeper drop off next to the outside firepit so I would be mindful with little children. Easy check in and they were very flexible and responsive when we had some crazy weather pop up nearby. We will be back again and hopefully stay a little longer!

We absolutly loved Suzy's place. With any cabin in the woods, yes there are going to be ants. As long as your responsible with your food (don't leave it out, leave open food hanging around) you will be fine. This is not the place to go if you don't like bug or bees. for a Cabin in the woods, it was perfect! The lake front was BEAUTIFUL. Our last night there, there was a thunderstorm with heavy rain. add the open windows and it was bliss! definitely considering making this a yearly trip! Thank you Suzy!

Becky was a great host and answered every question we asked promptly. The check in was easy and the house had every item you needed in the kitchen. Along with plenty of towels for the bathrooms. The house was right on the water with a dock. I would definitely book from Becky again.

This is our second time staying here for new years and it was great as usual. It is very peaceful at this property. Very clean and perfect for our group size. We would stay again.

This is the kind of place AirBnb was made for. Such a homey space with unique style and personal touches. We enjoyed disconnecting and relaxing inside and out during our stay. The place was well kepted and well equipped for a laid-back long weekend. It was clearing kept clean and tidy but it did have a strong musty smell when we arrived. It mostly aired out after a day with the windows open, but I have to warn others as I know it can be a big issue for some. However, my husband, pups, and I wouldn't pass up the chance to stay again when we want to visit Lake Fontana.

This vacation involved checking out the area for an upcoming wedding. For the house, we wanted lots of space in the house and easy parking, bathrooms for each family group, family space to hang out, easy walking, and of course access to the lake. All of these happened plus great porch space with the firepit and also the outdoor firepit. The stairs to the lake provided a work out and planning for the day. That is the only consideration for others to be aware of, is if they have a family member that has issues with stairs. The area is beautiful and exactly what we hoped for and this home with the easy contact for any issues or questions made it a great week!

An amazing Cabin style home uniquely furnished with art collection.. Very comfortable beds and plenty of room all around. Awesome big, round dining table...great for gatherings and games. Beautiful sunrises. Super well maintained. Our only challenge was ensuring the front door did not lock us out accidently...but its an amazingly beautiful stained glass double door. Kitchen is fully stocked with durable dishwares and all needed utensils. A very relaxing and inviting living room from which you can enjoy the beautiful outdoor scenery and mountain views.

The loft is beautiful and SO clean. We often have allergy issues with airbnbs but not this trip! So clean. Absolutely love being right on the river stream, too. So peaceful.

We got in late and left early, so we didn't really get to enjoy the gorgeous setting, but the place was perfectly lovely for our quick overnight. I would absolutely recommend.

If you're looking for a condo in the Sapphire Valley Resort don't hesitate to book Heather's place! It was fully stocked with everything we needed and honestly the cleanest Airbnb we've ever stayed at!!! It was a super easy check in/out process, the decor was super charming, beds were so comfy, and Heather had really high quality shower/kitchen supplies. We were pleasantly surprised with all the extra touches! In addition to this we also really enjoyed the pool, lake, playground, and arcade. It was the perfect family getaway!

This place was perfect! Super comfy, especially the bed and super soft sheets! Loved the screened in porch view, being elevated, looking down at the lake, felt so naturesque and private!

We have stayed in many places in the area over the last year but this host has definitely topped the list! This suite is tastefully decorated and the minor touches that make it comfortable and add that personal touch are excellent. The bed is very comfortable, kitchen and bathroom are well equipped, plenty of pillows and towels too. For a studio suite, it offers a well-designed space with greater than expected room. The location and property amenities are very nice and pet friendly. Do not hesitate to book this place, it will become one of your favorites!

Our family of four had an incredible stay at this cozy Airbnb! The views of the snow-covered mountains were absolutely stunning and made for a perfect backdrop throughout our stay. Our family had plenty of space to relax and unwind. The kids loved the Murphy bed! We especially loved gathering around the fireplace, with plenty of wood provided to keep us warm and toasty. Everything was just perfect, and we’d definitely love to stay again in the future!

We spent Easter weekend here. As we drove in the wild azaleas and dogwoods were blooming, and everything afterwards was just as beautiful and peaceful. My teenagers loved kayaking and my daughter liked the pond so well she slept on the daybed on the porch. I appreciated the feather pillows and reverse osmosis water. Attention has been paid to every detail. I called my Nana to show her the antique desks. My small children enjoyed the toys and my middle son using the pully bucket on the porch. My daughter celebrated a birthday over our stay, more movie guests showed up than expected and I just couldn't turn these kids away. Our hosts were so kind. They of course charged a little extra as was clearly understood via the contract, they were very understanding and polite. The lock to the boat seems to be jamed, the downstairs fireplace is currently non operational, and I'm not sure I'll get back a thumb drive I forgot, but this family has worked hard to create really special place. Nice, clean, peaceful, private, relaxing, and as described, except for internet. I did log onto the house wifi. The wifi was not connected to the internet. I had less than one bar of cell service. There was a wired land line phone on the wall, which had no dial tone. There were many notes with help phone numbers, but no way to call. Because I was seeking a quiet retreat, I did not mind this.

My family rents a lake house every year and we all agreed this was our favorite one! The location was perfect- on a quiet part of the lake with a view of the mountains. The indoor and outdoor spaces were built for enjoying the lake and had everything we needed for a perfect lake getaway. Would definitely recommend and we can’t wait to go back!

This was one of the most magical places we have ever stayed. I can’t speak highly enough about this cottage and its surroundings. It was luxurious, spotless, and had everything we needed for a peaceful getaway. Close to town with great shops and restaurants, but also very private and serene. One of the best trips we have taken in a very long time. I can’t recommend this beautiful home enough.

This cozy, beautiful spot is a treasure! Kim was very attentive to details in creating a space that is welcoming and feels like home. The kitchen was well equipped, decor blends modern and mountain cottage. Plenty to entertain at the house or nearby. The description helped us know how to best plan our visit to the area and there were great tips and maps at the house too. Beautiful scenery and a great place to enjoy birds, fall foliage, hiking and much more. So thankful for a great getaway!
