We had an unforgettable stay at this magical cabin! Izzy and Joe are amazing hosts—warm, responsive, and incredibly thoughtful. Check-in was seamless, and since late checking was requested by them , they kindly offered a late checkout, which we truly appreciated and made our departure more relaxed. The cabin itself is even better than the photos—beautifully decorated, full of natural light, and thoughtfully designed. The bedroom and sunroom with lake views quickly became our favorite cozy spots. The private island with its dreamy daybed swing and breathtaking lake views felt like a hidden paradise, and our dog loved roaming leash-free on the island. Everything in the cabin is intuitively organized, with smart controls for lighting, shades, and TV—managed via an iPad that also contains a well-designed digital guide. We’ve stayed at many cabins over the years, and this one stands out in every way. We’re already planning to return and make this special place an annual tradition

What a beautiful stay. It was my first time in the area and at Acadia NP and I’m so happy I chose Jackie’s place in Winter Harbor rather than the busy Bar Harbor side. It was so peaceful and quiet in the evenings. There were also walking distance hikes in Acadia NP. There is a ferry on the Winter Harbor side to take into Bar Harbor which was a lovely scenic trip and incredibly convenient. There is a delicious seafood restaurant right down the street that was walking distance from the house as well. Jackie was so responsive and a great host. I would 10/10 book again.

Erin’s place was absolutely lovely! We really enjoyed the location - so peaceful and conveniently close to Art Omi. The cabin was beautifully maintained, and we especially loved the interior design, which felt both stylish and cozy. We stayed for two nights but honestly wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Julie's lakeside home for Father’s Day weekend. The setting was serene, with beautiful views of the water, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy quality time together. I worked hard to feel like I was a good guest. Sarah told me I went above and beyond by the many cleaning tasks I undertook, triggered by my boyfriend getting cut by glass on his foot trying to fold towels. That does not take away from Sarah or the property as a whole, because I believe these were overlooked tasks by the cleaning crew and therefore maintenance staff were unaware of it. It was almost immaculate until I started realizing that it was not as as tip top as the standards of cleanliness at “Top down housekeeping”, who’s owner and staff are thorough, honest & flexible with pricing.

Great location, private and comfortable. Close to wineries and breweries. Very clean and convenient. I highly recommend.

Has such a lovely stay here. The hosts were very responsive and kind. It was so considerate of them to supply a stocked fridge/freezer and allowed me to hold my baggage there due to having an evening flight. Beautiful area and very convenient for transport into Downtown MTL. Very much reccomended.

Incredible, we really enjoyed staying at the sunrise deck, so incredibly home feeling and sweet for me and my wife’s honeymoon. We loved the extra care Lise took to bring gluten free snacks for my wife it was so sweet and thoughtful. We strongly recommend coming to stay here for Acadia or even the surrounding towns as well! Monica & TJ’s listing is exactly as pictured and described. It is spotless and well appointed. The extra little touches such as quality shampoo, conditioner, shower gel (not Wally World brand), snacks, and of course the pastries upon check in- are so nice. These things tell me that they care about their guests and their experience. Great binder on the “How to use” + suggestions of things to do, restaurants, etc. Very helpful! The best part was how close to the beach this rental is! 100% would stay here again; experience to value ratio = A+ !

We enjoyed our time here. Brenda was very responsive and helped us out when we needed accommodations pretty short notice. The area is private and peaceful, it was just what we needed to rest up and recharge for busy traveling days.

We spent a glorious 5 days at this perfect guest house. So relaxing and a perfect place to see the surrounding area. We ventured out every morning but were happy to have such a relaxing, private place in the evenings. Bobby and Linda were perfect host and let’s not forget Charley, if she was outside she always greeted us with a happy shake of her tail. On our last night there Linda arrived at our door with a hot, just out of the oven baguette that Bobby had just prepared along with some butter. What a treat. We immediately regretted that we decline his offer for breakfast every morning. If we are ever back in York we will definitely be staying here again. Simply perfection!! Pam & Robert Kiln, MS

Tom and Kate were lovely hosts. I was visiting the area for a wedding. When my scheduled arrival plan went awry, Tom and Kate were accommodating and flexible to meet my needs. The home was within a 5-minute ride to the wedding venue, making it a perfect place to stay. The home is beautifully renovated and welcoming. The bedroom is cozy and I slept soundly. The bathroom is small but suitable, and very clean. I enjoyed a wonderful conversation with the hosts in the morning, finding common interests with Kate in gardening and skiing. I would stay here again if I am fortunate enough to be in the area, and highly recommend it as an ideal place to stay.

Words can’t properly express how peaceful this location is, and what amazing hosts Victoria and George are. I was there for a quiet few days with my dog, and Victoria and George made it the most comfortable and serene experience. I recommend enjoying a lovely homemade lunch at the restaurant/post office/general store in town, then coming back to a fire that George creates for you, in their well appointed living room. Enjoy the sauna, reading room, and views, and experience a get away like no other. I’ve already secured a return trip in a few months!

We loved our stay in the North Barn. Paul and Jane were the best hosts! The barn was very comfortable, had everything one could need, clean and really nice! Paul had a list of hikes and color coated them on a map which was very helpful and a time-saver! They had a basket of some food items upon arrival for us which we enjoyed. They both were very kind, helpful and available if we had any questions. We highly recommend this place to anyone coming to Maine and would without a doubt stay there again if we are able to return to Maine. Mark & Laura Al & Joan

A wonderful oasis. Less than a 10-minute drive away, it’s a great spot to stay at when visiting family at Wake Robin. Room was spacious and clean. Simple access in and out of the house. Hardly knew there were other guests staying there. So peaceful. Lisa was very responsive and easy to work with while filling in for her daughter who was out of town. Will stay there again when visiting Shelburne.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Karen's place. She is a wonderful host. The location is very private and quiet. 30-40 mins from Acadia, right on the water. A lot of great hiking places withing short drive. Karen's breakfast was one of the highlights.

Jay and Heather were so kind. We booked their space with one event in mind, and had a lot of shifts that we needed to pivot quickly for. Heather and Jay were so accommodating, letting us know when things were flexible, communicating when we needed, and answering any questions we had. The AC was on the fritz when we arrived, but they communicated it immediately, told us the repair schedule, and said to let them know of there were any issues with the temperature and they would figure out a way to remedy it. Not to mention the space was clean, comfortable, peaceful, and a much-needed space to unwind and connect. Beautiful garden as well! Highly recommend and would stay here again.
