Barn holiday rentals in New Forest District

We had a wonderful stay. The host was incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful, happy to answer all our questions about the local area. The property is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, serene, and ideal for a relaxing countryside break. The grounds are lovely, the furnishings are stylish and comfortable, and the bed linen and towels were excellent. If I could suggest one small improvement, it would be the addition of a basic welcome package. The nearest shops are a bit of a drive, so arriving to find essentials like milk, bread, and a more generous supply of tea (only six bags were left) would be a thoughtful touch. The host did mention not everyone wants these things and kindly offered us milk upon arrival, but having them ready would really enhance the experience, especially given the overall quality and price point. That said, we had a fantastic time and would happily return. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful and comfortable countryside retreat.

John’s Barn is a stunning light and spacious holiday home , beautifully designed and furnished , and set in a peaceful , green countryside setting with acres of woodland to explore . We loved the private and pretty garden , and the walk to the lake to feed the fish . Our grandchildren loved the trampoline and play area , and the tree swing in the garden . Bobbie is a warm and friendly host who respected our privacy - we really enjoyed meeting her . We enjoyed visiting Romsey, and loved exploring the New Forest and all it has to offer . We will be returning - something we rarely do !

A wonderful few days with friends in this beautiful converted barn overlooking fields. So much space for kids to run around and Sarah and Simon are so welcoming. Kitchen well stocked so easy to cook. Bedrooms all really comfortable. Lake and Zip wire were so much fun. Couldn't fault it, would happily return!

Wow, what a place. Literally the best place we’ve stayed at so far. The house was lovely. More than enough space for us two. Was clean and very homely. Had a great intro pack with info on local area, walks and things to do, including Marwell zoo, which we enjoyed on the final day. The surroundings are amazing. Lovely walk in the woods at end of the property. Stunning. Farley mount, wildlife, peace and quiet. Lovely little garden to chill in. The kitchen was very well equipped, with everything I needed to make dinner each night. Including microwave, oven, induction hob, and all cooking equipment. That was important to us. Was nice to have all that. The driveway was big enough for both our cars, easily. Shower was fantastic, nice and big, and powerful. Bath was good too. I hope all this info is detailed enough for others to make the right choice, and book it also! Thank you Debbie, you are a great host, and look forward to staying again sometime. 10/10. The space is even more stunning in person and even more so at dusk. It’s thoughtfully stocked with everything you might need—pain relief medication, an umbrella, milk for tea in the fridge, and even extra charging cables (perfect for when, like me, your phone cable decides to stop working). Claire is an exceptionally considerate and proactive host, with a warm, welcoming personality that really makes the experience special. I highly recommend this space for anyone visiting Midhurst!

Fantastic barn, lots of fascinating items. Loads of space and really well thought out space with a gorgeous outside large private deck area. The owners were really friendly and accommodating. Location was perfect for us, and love the peaceful surroundings. Will stay again for sure. Cliff and Carla

We were visiting our family who live in Stourpaine. The Coach House was perfect for us. Patrick couldn't have been more helpful and friendly and the accommodation was clean and comfortable. The vase of garden flowers on the table was lovely.

Excellent accommodation and location, we had a very pleasant stay. Hosts were very friendly and approachable, Chestnut Barn was very well layout, charming and homely. The bottle of wine, Bath Soft Cheese, and the breakfast Crossants were lovely and greatly appreciated. We visited Bath, Bristol and went to the Bath soft cheese farm for lunch. All very enjoyable, and well worth seeing, met up with family at local pub, and had an excellent stay. We look forward to visiting again. Many thanks Colin and Julie xx

We had a wonderful time at the Stone Barn! Nicky and Mark provided a beautiful home away from home that couldn’t have been better. It’s so peaceful and the views are amazing. The place was clean (beware if you’re not a fan of spiders though as there are a decent amount in corners, bathroom, etc due to the countryside location I’m sure) and they even gave us a lovely welcome package with local food items. They were responsive and made sure we had everything we need. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to call home in the Cotswolds area. We were within 1-1.5 hrs drive of all the major sightseeing places which was perfect.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Granary. Its a really beautiful area for walks and we really appreciated the private little garden for our dog. We would have loved to have been able to stay for longer.

Great place to stay. I loved the style and how it was decorated. Really clean open space. Everything you need for a night or a week. Walking distance of town, close to some lovely pubs (one of which is right across the road). Lii ok belt few walks close by too. We even managed a walk up the towpath of the canal. Couldn’t have asked for more!

We loved every minute of our stay at Foxtrot. Shelagh is such a lovely lady who has a fantastic eye for detail and really looks after her guests. We were expecting a small space and just needed a bed for a couple of nights, but it was so gorgeous that we didn’t want to leave. It was all so beautifully designed and tastefully done with absolutely everything we could possibly need. We woke up to see the sheep and birds through the patio doors and could sit outside or inside to watch them. We then discovered a pair of binoculars and ID guide and a book with bird calls to help us identify everything. Highly recommended in every aspect - not enough characters available to tell you everything - just stay and be delighted! Shelagh has a small pottery studio next door and makes the most beautiful mugs and jugs which are very reasonably priced and are for sale as well as for use in the cottage.

Really lovely and beautiful done place. Full or interesting things felt very much at home. The garden was so beautifully landscaped was a joy in and out. Very peaceful and we had some gorgeous sunsets!! Will definitely come again as soon as we can.

Catherine was so accommodating a friendly, helping with parking and check in, easy instructions. A beautiful property with all the amenities you could ask for, a perfect stay for a couple and a dog. The garden is beautiful with a sun trap decking with stunning views for miles, a fantastic place to stay, all attractions on cheddar are walkable to no need to take the car out!

This airbnb is beautiful and social area is actually bigger than the photos show. We stayed as three couples and it was the perfect size. Walkable to the river and Wallingford for coffee and restaurants. Nikki was really responsive and let us check out a bit later too!

Mary's barn is an unique place, a real AirBnB full of emotion and real vibes in the countryside of Wight. We loved staying there with our daughters, going to the pub through the green fields, sleeping with birds singing and waking up with horses. Mary is a lovely host. The barn is clean and well equipped. Location is something truly amazing. Thanks for that experience.

Janet’s place was great. Really comfortable and had everything you could need. It was very well designed and thought out, perfectly clean and really cosy. I would not hesitate to stay again if in the area and would recommend it to anyone. Thanks for a brilliant stay.

There are not enough words to do this property and Ava justice . It is truly stunning from its location to the laundered bedsheets , super equipped kitchen and so much more . We were made to feel so welcome . Ava and Chris really do go above and beyond . Our son Archie loved it and was encouraged by Ava to explore and see the cows . He really didn’t want to leave . Honestly we all wanted to stay . If you stay here , you will not be disappointed. We are looking for an excuse to come back

Anna was there to greet us soon after we arrived. We had already seen photos of the accommodation and read descriptions, but I can only say it exceeded expectations. Perfect place to spend a week relaxing and exploring locally. The artisan cafe across the road was full of character and delicious homemade food. There is also a well stocked village shop on the northern outskirts. We hope to return. Thank you Anna.

A stunning home from home. Gorgeous countryside all around and a lovely enclosed private garden. The barn is beautifully decorated, with really personal touches. Breakfast and essentials provided. Comfortable and just a total delight. Anna was helpful, responsive and courteous at all times. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We loved our stay and would love to return later on in the year. Our little dogs also loved the place and gave it 5 stars too 😊🎉
