Walks in the snow and the cozy warmth in the cottage provide relaxation & coziness. In summer, the lake with beach invites you to swim & do water sports. There is no direct lake view (trees in front), but the wonderful viewpoint 'Zur Schönen Aussicht' can be reached in two minutes (100 m), where you can watch the stars undisturbed at night.

The apartment is located in a modernized half-timbered farmhouse from 1890 and is located in the picturesque Norddeifel. The Rurtalsperre, the Vennbahn bike path and the Eifel National Park Nature Reserve are just a few kilometers away. Due to the location in the triple corner, both the Netherlands and Belgium can be reached quickly. The city of Aachen with its sights is about 30 minutes (by car) away. All shopping facilities can be easily reached in 5 minutes (by car).

By car, you can reach the Nürburgring, the Ahr, the Ruhrsee or Phantasialand Brühl in a good half hour. Shopping is 10 km away. Dogs are welcome by arrangement.

The Red House in Veytal

The red house is located in the idyllic Veytal between Mechernich and Satzvey, directly on the eponymous Veybach. This allows you to enjoy the special location in the middle of the nature of the old forest worker's house, while being only 900 m from the town of Mechernich. The house is located directly on a bike path and thus offers a good starting point for bike tours in the region.
