Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Northampton County

The house is in a quiet neighborhood and very little noise was heard when you’re inside. The house is older and does need some maintenance but nothing that hindered us from having a nice stay! Also, added bonus - no checkout cleaning requirements!

The directions and info we were given previous to our stay were very helpful for both finding the location and explaining the check-in process, which is very easy. The house is inviting and comfortable and well supplied with everything for a fun and hassle free stay. The location is great- quick access to beach and eateries in a tree lined quaint community where people greet you with good morning as you start the day. We didn’t stay long , we were in town for a wedding but I wish our stay was longer & wouldn’t hesitate to go again and choose Heron House! Thanks to our host, Katherine!

We loved staying at Cheri’s place! The golf cart was sooo nice to have and very convenient to not have to rent one. The home was just as described! The beds were perfect for us and our two kids. All of the games and beach stuff were also really nice. You really don’t need to bring anything for the beach except swimsuits because it is all there to use if you want it! We had a blast!

An absolute dream! The Bee House was appointed ever so thoughtfully with guests in mind, from the great beds and linens, to the perfectly stocked kitchen and locally sourced gift basket, our family found everything we could ever need as arms length. The location as perfect, just steps from the park and a 5 minute walk to down town. Our stay was effortless. We all kept saying how lucky we felt to be staying here. We will all be dreaming of the relaxing front pouch until next time.

Smith was great. Well described and Looks the same as on the picture. Other than the water has a metal/ ironing taste and smell, we had to get bottle water for drinking and cooking. Everything else was great.

Janie’s home was perfect for our visit to Cape Charles. She was wonderful to have coffee there for us to use and she greeted us with Virginia peanuts and chocolate and I thought that was a nice warm touch. The place was immaculately clean and comfortable Thank you Janie xxo

Rachel’s place was wonderful. She provided clear instructions and the house was so clean and welcoming. Only complaint is her bathrooms only had 3-in-1 shampoo, conditioner, and body wash - if you plan on staying I’d advise to bring your own toiletries. Other than that everything was wonderful!

If you are a fisherman, this place is for you! The property is easy to get in and out with a truck and trailer. It is also close to the Kiptopeke Park/boat ramp. The house is clean, has 2 hose locations and a nice fish cleaning station. We are very happy with this place and plan on booking again.

Beautiful and comfortable place. The beds were extremely comfortable and pillows too. My sister and I had a wonderful weekend there celebrating her birthday. The beach is 2 miles away, best to drive and not walk. Cape Charles is a wonderful little gem on the eastern shore. Thank you for such a comfortable and beautiful place to stay!

We were extremely pleased with this great apartment. Everything we needed was there. We loved the interior decoration. Your artwork is beautiful. Our daughter loved your books. One particular thing for me is that the bed is more comfortable than what i have at home. That allowed for some great night's sleep after the days of exploring the state park and refuges. The location made it very easy to visit Cape Charles every day after doing other planned activities. I personally like the fact that it's very quiet and peaceful though it's location is at a crossroads. Thank you for allowing us to spend a few days in your wonderful abode. If ever we plan another visit to The Eastern Shore, we will certainly try to rent from Gail again.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Rick and Christi's Airbnb. The location is perfect for anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful getaway, with direct access to the beautiful sandy beaches of Chesapeake Bay. Whether you’re into water activities, fishing, or just taking quiet walks around the serene neighborhood, this place has it all. One thing to note is that this spot is not for those seeking nearby restaurants or bars because there aren’t any in the vicinity—and that’s exactly what makes it so special. It’s a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. Our family, including my wife and 14-year-old child, thoroughly enjoyed our time here. But what truly sets this place apart is the warm and friendly hospitality from Christi. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. A lovely touch was the fresh jalapeño pepper she gave us, which we’re still using in our meals. Thank you, Christi and Rick, for making our vacation memorable.

This Airbnb was perfect for a weekend getaway. The place was conveniently close to the beach, shops and restaurants. The apartment is pristine and I felt very comfortable and safe during my stay. The bed was very comfortable too!

Great spot in Bay Creek for a family stay! Quiet neighborhood, convenient to “downtown” Cape Charles by golf cart, and comfortable furnishings and living space in the condo. Would stay again!

We had a wonderful stay here! The condo was clean and well appointed, and the location couldn’t be beat! Carol was very responsive and helpful as well. We will be back for sure!

We had a great experience here! The apartment was better than the pictures listed and the location was extremely convenient! It was perfectly situated on the Main Street and we walked everywhere. Very close to the beach and such a lovely little town. Very family friendly and quaint. We also accidentally left a personal item after checking out and contacted Doug to see if it could be sent to us and he responded immediately and was extremely accommodating! Overall a great experience. The only little thing I would suggest to future guests is to be prepared to bring your own cooking essentials like, oil, salt & pepper and spices etc. as there weren’t any in the apartment. We mostly ate out but this was a little difficult for the meals we wanted to cook there.

We loved this place! We have stayed in Cape Charles many times and this is one of our favorite places. The beach chairs are a nice touch and the place was very clean. Plenty of space for the entire family and the master bed was extremely comfortable.

This is truly a hidden gem in Cape Charles! We recently stayed for the long holiday weekend and loved every minute of our trip. The apartment is absolutely beautiful and the location couldn't be better. We enjoyed having the ability to walk around town and have stores and restaurants so close by. The host was friendly and helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had. We look forward to staying here again!

We had a great time at Above it All! The location can’t be beat. Right on the main street in downtown. It’s just a short walk to the beach, shops, and eateries. The condo was clean and as pictured. We loved having dinner on the rooftop as we watched the sunset. The view is amazing! The hosts were very responsive and helpful, and they made the check out process so easy. We had a great stay!

Book this condo! It was the cleanest AirBnB I’ve ever rented but was still warm and comfortable. You can tell the condo is well taken care of. The neighborhood was charming. The pool was closed but the beach within the community was nearby and quiet. We were a short drive from Cape Charles town center and parking was a breeze. The host was incredibly accommodating; her restaurant recommendations were spot on. I wish we could’ve stayed longer!
