Holiday rentals with a kayak in Northeast Ohio

Bill was a great host! His home was cozy, clean, and had everything you could think of! We stayed at the house to be closer to our wedding venue and it was a very relaxing environment! Will be staying there again in the future!

The place was as described and perfect for our stay. Kelley (the host) provided a great list of local recommendations and was very quick to respond. Other ABNB hosts could take lessons from Kelley! The place was very clean, smelled good, bed was comfortable... even a fan located in the bedroom (for those like me that need a fan at night to sleep). Will try to stay here again, our next trip to the area.

Our stay was great! The house is right on a very quiet and private lake. The yard is a good size and there's a lot of pace to hangout. Inside was a bit smaller, the kitchen table only sat 3 comfortably but there was plenty of seating in the living room.

We had the best weekend at the Hygge House! The space was perfect for a girls weekend and had everything we needed! Amy was a great host with quick communication and very easy instructions to check in and out. She even provided us with a bottle of wine from a local winery and plenty of recommendations for things to do! I would recommend this house to anyone!

Zach was very communicative. He was quick to answer questions and offer suggestions while we were in the area. His home was very comfortable and on the lake! We enjoyed our stay very much!

Wow! A pleasure to spend a week at this amazing place. Just what we wanted as we visited family. The charm of the totally renovate old home. The majestic old trees. The beautiful lake, birds, and five orphaned fox pups being cared for by Doug made “our place” a favorite of the grandkids to visit. What more could we ask for. We’ll be often.

This is the place if you want a beautiful home on the water with all the bells and whistles! Check-in was a breeze, and the hosts responded nearly immediately to any questions. The beds are so comfy and most provide a lake view - excellent at night when you are all tucked in with your book. Regarding books, novels are located throughout the home, and I felt like I had accessed one of my book clubs! The lighting is a mix between cozy and super modern (the ceiling fans have built-in lighting and are controlled via a remote - not your typical ceiling fans either). The basement has a bonus room with mood lighting. The sunroom has a table that seats 10 with room for at least two more. Perfect for a family dinner or board games (they have a pizzle that I almost broke open - but left it for the next family). The hot tub under its roof was fun in the rain while we viewed the lake at night with the boats traveling by. A red cardinal visited every day! Im out of space- truly a gem of a home!

The cottage on the river was a nice treat and get away for my husband and I and our two grandchildren and dog. It was clean and comfortable, beds were very comfortable, loved having the area in front to fish. Quiet neighborhood other than the trains. That did not hinder our sleeping. We definitely rent again!

Wonderful home base to enjoy all of the fun of Kingsville - minutes from wineries, minutes from the restaurants, butcher and farm stands of Kingsville, 30 minutes from Point Pelee national park - you won't run out of things to do. I liked the comfortable shared space and the kayaks and bikes provided with the home. A fun, family-friendly location.

We were in the area for a wedding and John’s place was the perfect place to relax. It’s charming and cozy and we loved being able to get out on the water. Leesville Lake really is a hidden gem. It’s the perfect spot for a weekend getaway.

Highly recommend!!! I booked Tim and Melissa’s place as an anniversary get away for my parents. They couldn’t say enough great things about their experience and hope to return someday. The lake house had everything you could want and more. Thanks again for making things wonderful for them❤️

Wonderful stay in this space! Everything was exactly as described, and the water views from the bedrooms were lovely. Bright, open, and inviting space. Well stocked kitchen and linens. Loved the kayaks, and the fire pit - so nice that dry firewood was included. We don’t make use of the game room, as the weather was perfect for relaxing outside, but it looks like a lot of fun! Very clear instructions, and friendly and responsive hosts. Would definitely stay here again!

We found Paul's place to be cozy and clean. Amenities and furniture listed are all there, and in good working order. The lakeview from the photos are exactly that - unobstructed view out to the lake. The first day we were there the weather was quite rough, so the lake looked like something from a storm movie and it was very windy. The second night was much calmer, and our kids were able to go down to the private beach which they enjoyed a lot. The wind from the first night helped a bit with the bugs but the second night it was unbearable to go out at all. We searched and found it is a common thing for the area in May. Nevertheless didn't affect us had BBQ and hot tub earlier in the late afternoon, so plan accordingly if you are in the area around this time. There are additional off-site check-in and security deposit required, including uploading a copy of your driver's license to a 3-party site. I didn't like this part but they included this in their listing so we were aware.

I haven’t been able to find any lakes in Ohio that are peaceful and not full of loud boats and rowdy parties, until Knox lake! What a gorgeous place to enjoy some serene kayaking or sitting on the deck with a glass of wine. This house has it all. Appliances are new, everything seems really clean and high-quality. The back yard and kayak launch are all very well maintained. You can walk right down to the hot tub without putting shoes on. I’m amazed that the third floor master bedroom stays so cool even in the summer months. We brought our toddler (almost 2yo) and the open layout of the main floor was really great for her to hang out with us. The third floor kids bedroom is a bit toasty, especially if you’re running the washer or dryer, but there’s a fan and she slept fine. This would be a great house to share with another couple/family. The basement and upstairs are separate private sleeping areas with bathrooms, and you can share the main floor/kitchen. Hoping to come back soon!

Although our trip was cut short due to a power outage in the area, Lexy was an amazing host and we will definitely come back! Great location, super nice place & Lexy was over the top accommodating. We really appreciated her transparency and helpfulness as we dealt with the power outage. We definitely will come back in the future to have the full experience!

The cabin was a perfect layout for our large family graduation celebration. Everything we needed and lots of room to spread out. The large kitchen farm table was a huge gathering spot, as well as the covered front porch (very useful as it rained nearly our entire stay). Mike and Amy made it even better by being highly responsive to our needs, ensuring a memorable event.

We were blown away with everything the Airbnb had to offer. The location was peaceful, private and had a great view. We enjoyed using the fire pit, hot tub and grill. The Airbnb was equipped with everything you would need for your stay. There are mountain bike trails only 1.5 miles from the Airbnb which were nice for getting outdoors. There were also kayaks available for us which we hope to utilize in the future. This Airbnb is a hidden gem.

We had a wonderful time, the place was very clean, described accurately, and easy to find. We found most everything we needed and loved the huge deck, the jacuzzi and the lovely swing down by the river. Since we only had one car, we were unable to take advantage of the kayak, but there was plenty of other things to do nearby. Thank you for a very peaceful and fun few days.

I booked this for my bridesmaids and I for the night before my wedding. The cabin is beautiful and so clean. Alissa left us some snacks and toiletries in case we needed something. She was very friendly and always checked in to make sure we were okay. We went for a walk to the lake and the neighbors were all waving and saying hi to us. It was honestly a very friendly area and we felt safe. The cabin had beautiful interior natural sunlight which was great for getting ready photos.

We definitely enjoyed the beautiful cabin and grounds, as well as the Pool Table, Slot Machine, Golden Tee Golf Game, Theater Room, Hot Tub, and all the other amenities. The beautiful Peacocks and Cats were also great to see. The Scavenger Hunt was enjoyed by all our guests. Alan and Laura were very responsive to our needs and are great hosts. The cabin was well stocked with anything we needed and we had a great time.

This place is awesome!! The surrounding area is extremely beautiful and peaceful. The host provides a ton of amenities and amazing hospitality! Thank you!
