Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Ocean View

Fantastic stay - best place to stay on the Big Island! What an amazing location, with a fantastic view! Private and relaxing, looking out onto coffee trees and the ocean. The place is everything that's promised and more. Great kitchen for cooking dinner if you don't feel like going out, an amazing outdoor shower, a GIANT TV for the times you want to just relax, and outdoor space that's private and tranquil. Everyone I communicated with was immediately responsive, and had suggestions for places to go (especially coffee farms), and responded very quickly. I can't recommend this place enough - we may be coming back again and staying here if it's available again! PS - the frogs: some people may love them, some may not like the noise. I didn't mind them at all at night, and had a white noise app in case they were very vocal (especially after the rain). Never did see one. Oh! And considering it's in the upcountry, no bugs/minimal wildlife, nothing to stress you out!

First thing I must say is that the beds were very comfortable! The location was great, not too far from Kona activity but far enough away you can feel like you’re in the quiet country. (Minus the charming frogs at night but it was cool enough to shut the windows). Excellent view of the ocean. Having laundry was so helpful. We had 5 people there. A little tight… perfect for 4 but it was fine for 5 using pull out couch. Would definitely stay again!

We highly recommend staying at Santai Cottage. The setting was very beautiful, peaceful and private. We enjoyed having the beach gear, hot tub and option to cook our own meals. Lots of windows and covered porches for a true indoor/outdoor living experience. We had everything we needed for an excellent stay. Thank you Karen, you were a great host!

Wow. What a spectacular place. A true eco-jungle-lodge-type experience. The location, the home, the host's communication and aloha spirit - everything was fantastic. Highly recommend 4WD / AWD car for the driveway, although we made it work with a sedan (kind of comical, actually). We are an adventurous family of four adults (2 grown kids) that likes experiences and lodging that would be the opposite of a cruise ship or resort. This place was perfect for us. We will be back!

We wanted to stay somewhere away from the city and have more of a genuine Hawaiin experience and we couldn't have been happier with our time at Kat and Joe's. Their property is serene, the proximity to the beautiful beaches is perfect and they are kind, welcoming hosts. We hope to stay there again sometime soon!

Beautiful and peaceful location. Watch gorgeous sunsets with panaromic voews pf the ocean right from the deck! Great snorkeling close by if you're comfortable getting in from rocks. Private pool to enjoy when you've had enough salt water for the day.

Really nice apartment. Communication went really well and Pamela and Kenzie were really friendly in providing head lamps for the night at volcano. The location is awesome. It only takes 10 minutes to go to volcano national park. It is great to relax on the veranda and in the hot tube listening to noises of the forest after an adventurous day at the national park. I would definitely recommend this apartment.

Have stayed here several times in different units. It works well for us. If you find older reviews complaining about the water pump being loud its no longer an issue. It was updated recently.

The house was cozy and comfortable. We loved the outdoor shower & jacuzzi. Kathleen was very friendly, she explained everything in the house and gave us a warm welcome. There was fresh fruit from the garden for us every day! We would definitly recommend this place!

I enjoyed my stay in Kona. This place was exactly as advertised and looked just like the pictures. Thomas was super proactive and responsive to all of my needs. Check in was easy and clear instruction for check in and check out were provided. Amenities included a wide selection of beach items which was fantastic. Location was wonderful with walkable access to several popular but never crowded beaches. Private parking was a plus. I recommend.

Wow and wow! Joyce and Zac have gone above and beyond to create a space that is comfortable and private. While the accommodations are indeed attached to their home, the retreat presents like a private apartment. The kitchen is well-stocked, making it easy to cook in for meals, if desired. Nothing has been forgotten concerning the little touches that make traveling easier, so we would consider this rental much better than a hotel. There is no air-conditioning, but numerous fans are provided and we were comfortable during our June stay. The online pictures very accurately depict what you'll see when you arrive. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. We whole-heartedly recommend this rental and plan to return on our next trip to Kona.

We had a fantastic stay at Adam’s peaceful home near Kona. The property is quiet, beautifully maintained, and just a 7-minute drive to town — the perfect mix of nature and convenience. The space was spotless and fully stocked with everything we needed. We especially appreciated the beach chairs, towels, umbrella, and the relaxing hot tub. Honestly, the hot tub was even more soothing than an onsen we’ve experienced in Japan — especially with the surrounding sounds of birds and rustling trees. The full kitchen made it easy to cook, and we loved having dinners outside under the stars. The deck and garden felt like a private retreat — calm, lush, and peaceful. Nature’s sounds at night were magical. Adam was an amazing host — warm, responsive, and thoughtful. And his sweet dog and cat made us smile every time we saw them — they added a lovely, homely touch. We highly recommend this place to couples looking for a quiet, cozy escape on the Big Island. We’d love to return. Mahalo!

Caryl was a really good host, communication was easy and she made sure we had a good stay. A big advantage is the extra gears available (snorkeling, beach towels, etc) and the garden which makes the stay even more pleasant. Would recommend this place.

We loved our stay! Waking up to have coffee and breakfast on the porch was a real highlight. The space had everything we could possibly need, was spotlessly clean, and we felt right at home. There were some great cafes in the area, as well as awesome snorkeling. We also loved hanging with Papaya the kitty! Would recommend this spot in a heartbeat.

Overall this was a really great stay - the hosts were very responsive, the Airbnb was spotless, and it was well stocked with everything you could need.

I stayed here for nearly a week at Kirk's condo and I am very satisfied with the place. It's located in a central area close to the Kailua Boardwalk and a few resorts. He's also transparent and very communicative on the check in and check out processes. I highly recommend Kirk's place if you want to stay in Kona. Mahalo nui loa Kirk!

The place was beautiful and really close to downtown Hilo. Carrie was very helpful and gave some helpful tips. Would stay there again anytime.

Beautiful stay. Beautiful majestic views and conveniently located close to the airport and Kona activities. The place was clean and had everything one could need. The kitchen was useful for cooking our own meals and the bed was comfortable to sleep in. I also loved seeing the little animals in the neighbors yard next door. The place had extra towels, blankets and other supplies you may need that made this place a great stay. I highly recommend.

Our stay here was perfect. Location was amazing right by the beach at a peaceful community, great for viewing sunrise/sunset. The place was just as pictured, very clean and had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Thank you for a Beautiful condo and experience! The view is Awesome! The Complex is a great placement for a mixture of sandy beaches, tide pools, and surf. The condo has great placement in the complex for accessibility to elevator, pool and amenities. Stephanie’s condo will make you feel right at home with housewares, extra beach accessories, A great welcome and suggestion book for the island and overall organized, tidy surroundings! Joe and Cindy’s place in Hilo was a great base of operations for all the adventuring we had lined up while visiting the area. The location is walkable to several great restaurants, shops, Ola Brewing, and 7-11(best musubi on the island). The bed was super comfortable. The space was clean, uncluttered, and felt larger than the description would insist. Loved the tv hidden in a frame with vintage Nintendo games and two wireless controllers. The hosts are responsive when asked a question. There was an unfortunate issue that happened on the grounds in front of the lanai while we were there. They addressed the issue showing aloha hospitality when things didn’t go perfectly. The scooters they have available for rent were in great condition and super convenient for getting distances that are borderline walkable. Hilo is a great little downtown. So many cool things to do and see! Mahalo, Joe and Cindy! We now love Hilo!

We read reviews about bugs and a bad smell, however we had no issues with either. Place felt very clean and smelled great, has all the amenities and appliances that we needed. Even had a boogie board in the closet that we could use which was fun! Overall great place, right by tons of restaurants and stores as well as the shoreline.
