There is one bathroom with toilet and washing machine, and one bathroom with shower. Kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and oven. The surrounding area offers nice hiking experiences with lake and mountains in the immediate vicinity, as well as a short drive to the nearest town. The cabin in Hovden (Bø in Vesterålen)

Recharge your batteries at this unique and quiet accommodation where the sea meets the sky. The cabin has a beautiful location by the sea, short distance to the nearest beach, about 100 m. Great balcony with sea view. The place has three beaches. If you go south you will come to a viewpoint with midnight sun about 800 meters from the cabin, if you go north you will find the pier that you can walk out on. Bring friends or the whole family to this beautiful and charming place. Here you will find a great swimming beach just below the house. It is 3-400 meters to another beach with playground equipment, volleyball court etc. There are great hiking opportunities on the island to Skaga lighthouse or to the many beaches on the island. It is 15 min. to drive to Stø with Hvalsafari, 15 min. to Myre where you will find a good selection of shops (sports , clothing stores, liquor store, 4 grocery st.etc.).

The midnight sun lasts from mid-May to mid-July, a few weeks before and after this period the nights are as bright as the days.

Grandma's house from the 50s with sea view

Welcome to Farmorhuset in Nykvåg, in the middle of beautiful Vesterålen. The house was built in 1954 and combines nostalgic 50s style with today's amenities for a comfortable stay. I have inherited this house from my father, who in turn inherited it from his mother, and it has therefore been important for me to preserve the soul and history of the house. Farmorhuset has three bedrooms with a total of four beds, which makes the house perfect for both small families and groups of friends.

The area is rich in sea eagles and there is a high probability that you will be able to spot one. You can also rent a boat for fishing in the fjord.
