Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Old Town, Alexandria

We had a truly wonderful stay at this Airbnb. The home was very lovely, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully stocked with plenty amenities. Nothing was lacking. From the kitchen supplies to snacks, coffee, and toiletries, everything was well-organized and available, which made our stay so easy and comfortable. The house was spotless upon arrival, and the location was perfect within walking distance to the beautiful waterfront and charming old town. On top of that, the host was very responsive and helpful, making the entire experience smooth and welcoming from start to finish. Highly recommended!

A+++ Host Great location Fun house I misunderstood and thought there were four bedrooms instead of three bedrooms with a ballroom that could be turned into a bedroom but didn’t have a door. Nevertheless, we were wonderfully comfortable and we had a fantastic host.

Used this place as base camp for a week of DC sightseeing. Excellent location for walking to the Metro and to Old Town Alexandria (never more than 25 min Metro ride to all venue surrounding The Mall). Great location for car trips (used Turo for 2 day rental) to Colonial Williamsburg, historic Jamestown, Mount Vernon, Arlington Cemetery. Host is excellent—very prompt response to questions (despite she being abroad during our stay), clear instructions, very friendly. Would definitely stay there again.

We had a great time and relaxed on the patio. Everything was beautiful and wonderful kitchen. Perfect location. Amy was always available to answer questions and very helpful.

Louise’s place was perfect for an active family of 3 - right by the W&OD trail, close to plenty of parks and other family-friendly activities, and easy access to the highway and metro. Everything was as described, clean, and ideal for a relaxed family vacation. We definitely plan on returning for future trips!

From booking to check out, Jon was very responsive and made us feel completely at home.

Great location in Old Town Alexandria. Quiet neighborhood a few blocks from all of the King Street action. If you know anything about Old Town, you'll find the off-street parking as invaluable as we did. We would rent again for that alone. House was nicely updated and in great shape. Felt like a luxury hotel. The bedding and towels were particularly nice. Peter was an excellent host and extremely responsive. Thank you, Peter.

The home was absolutely beautiful. Extremely well decorated with a sophisticated feel. The Champagne and snacks at Check-In were very welcome and of high class. There was no detail that was missed. The beds were extremely comfortable and the home had everything you would ever need to enjoy and entertain. The courtyard in the back was beautiful. If you are going to drive, we would say to keep the vehicle to no larger than a Jeep Wrangler 4 door. The neighborhood was amazing and a ton to do on the riverfront. Washington DC and Mount Vernon are not too far away. There are a ton of great restaurants and shopping nearby. We would highly recommend the home when visiting Alexandria and Washington DC. - Bob and Lisa

We booked Ben and Tessa's place for a colleague who was visiting DC. It was super convenient - close to my house and walkable to our office. The unit was just as described. It's cute, clean, and perfect for one person or a couple. Ben was also super communicative and helpful with arrangements and recuperating some items after our colleague checked out. We'd definitely book this unit again.

This place was in a great location! One block from the metro and a nice bar/restaurant called Bullfeathers very close by. We would stay here again. The only addition I would ask John to consider is to add a small cutting board to the kitchen. John was a great host as he left us a wide assortment of snacks, answered our questions quickly and he left us detailed information with a map to help us even more. Thanks John we had a great time!

The listing was just as it was described and pictured. The location was great, quick walk to the Metro. It was clean and comfortable. We had a few questions about parking but Lisa and John quickly responded and assured us that we wouldn’t have any issues with where we parked. If we travel to the area in the future we will definitely stay here again.

This is a must stay location. Michael was super friendly and provided everything we needed. The location is perfect and very walkable to all the popular attractions. I highly recommend and would definitely stay here again the next time I’m in DC.

Rebecca’s place was much bigger than we expected and had everything we needed. So happy that our dogs were able to stay with us! Beautiful, quiet neighborhood with a path nearby that lead to a playground and area to walk our dogs. Will definitely stay again!

Wonderful stay! Elizabeth was quick to answer questions and made sure we had a great stay. Lovely place, had everything we needed and more. I was so thankful to have a washer and dryer since we had been traveling for so long. Elizabeth even had a washing machine pod for us. Would definitely stay again!

Sarah’s place was great for our stay in dc! Close to a lot of bars and restaurants in a beautiful neighborhood, clean, and easy to find. Sarah was very communicative and helpful!

Heather's place is a quiet and peaceful little spot tucked just outside of the main center of the city, 10 min drive by car, the room have lots of safe and a comfy bed. would definitely recommend!

This was the perfect place for us as a big group staying for the weekend for a family wedding. The house was in great condition, had amazing amenities, and was really comfortable. We loved our stay!

This home is so tastefully decorated and comfortable. Even though it's an older home with original wood on floors and stairs, the wall finishes looks fairly fresh and the kitchen is all upgraded with current amenities. I was pleasantly surprised that it had a large backyard with lawn furniture, grass and trees. The sun room was so comfortable for seating and playing cards, and the office had a nice futon-type bed that folded out for extra sleeping space. The primary bedroom, walk in closet, and bath are super large and beautiful. Lots of restaurants were within a mile of the house, including a Trader Joe's. The only drawback was car sounds at night from Washington Blvd but we got used to it. During our reservation process, Aman addressed my many questions quickly and fully, particularly in terms of what they had for my 1 year old grandson (toys, high chair, port a crib). During our stay, we also communicated easily a few times as questions came up.

Our group of 8 had a very comfortable stay with more than enough space! Amir was very responsive and if given the opportunity I would love to stay here again!

Great house with a fabulous pool! We enjoyed our time immensely. The decor is so fun! We had an issue with the tv the first night, and Kate had her handyman out the next day to fix it with zero interruption to us. Highly recommend!
