Holiday rentals in Palazzo A Merse

How can we even put into words what an incredible experience this was! Antonella was kind and helpful, and her home is just stunning. She made us feel so at home even with our limited Italian. She prepared us a home cooked, four-course meal one night and it was absolutely delicious. She even gave us the leftovers so we could have them for breakfast the next day. The villa was breathtaking and in a perfect location to visit beautiful towns in Tuscany like Pienza, Montepulciano and San Gimignano. We especially loved the pool and visiting with the animals. This was a bucket list stay for us and worth every penny!

I cannot say enough about our trip to Martino’s villa. What a lovely villa in the cute town of San Casciano dei Bagni. We had a great family vacation, enjoying some of the smaller towns and a visit to Montepulciano . We enjoyed Eleanor’s cooking for us two nights- what an amazing chef! Martino was very responsive and helpful when we needed something. I hope we can return one day!

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in diesem tollen Anwesen, welches von zahlreichen Olivenbäumen umgeben ist. Alle waren sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und haben uns tolle Tipps zum Essengehen etc. gegeben. Abends haben wir immer direkt dort gegessen - einfach empfehlenswert. Sehr leckere regionale Küche. Wer es entspannt und ruhig möchte ist dort super aufgehoben. Wir haben es geliebt und uns total wohl gefühlt. Alles in allem super top, wir kommen gerne wieder :).

Meravigliosamente immerso nella natura, il casale con la sua varietà di locali e di spazi esterni , angoli curati ed intimi nel giardino intorno alla casa , piante e fiori che decorano ed ombreggiano è veramente piacevole. Il nostro appartamento era spazioso e molto curato nei dettagli ..ho apprezzato molto le caratteristiche antiche mantenute nella ristrutturazione e la cura nei dettagli, la creatività dei decori. I "fiori all'occhiello" sono il terrazzino con vista sulla valle e la colazione che con cura è stata preparata da Viola..da non perdere!!! e la piscina ...un respiro fresco nel caldo estivo....e poi la compagnia discreta e dolce di Cappuccino , Nerina e i gatti tutti adorabili. I ventilatori al soffitto nel pomeriggio non riescono a rinfrescare molto , ma la sera e la notte la temperatura si abbassa nuovamente e si dorme benissimo nel silenzio della campagna. Un soggiorno nella casa di Viola è da non perdere, così come la sua marmellata di More di gelso da acquistare.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Lisa’s Montalcino Townhouse!! She met us upon arrival and gave great recommendations for wineries and restaurants. Attention to details in the home made it perfect and relaxing! Loved the back yard/patio in the evenings especially. She left us 2 bottles of wine, breakfast items, a basket of EU chargers and cords, and robes for the hot tub! It felt like home away from home and we hope to have a return visit! Thanks for thinking of everything we could need for our comfort and stay!

Where to begin? We had the most glorious stay at Fernando’s wonderful home. Genuinely, best holiday we have ever had and we will definitely be returning! Firstly, Fernando and his family were incredibly kind and hospitable! Fernando checked us in, gave us an overview of the wonderful villa (which is even more stunning in person!) and had left olive oil, pasta, cheese, wine etc. All the necessities! He treated us to a tour of the property on the penultimate evening, and his mother made us a traditional Tuscan dinner of meats, cheese, etc. The aperitif was delicious! Fernando’s lovely wife also spoiled us with homemade limoncello. Wow! We did not expect this and were pleasantly surprised! I hope we can repay the favour somehow someday. The property itself is stunning. You can tell that Fernando and his family invest a lot of love and energy into the place. If you’re looking for a break in paradise, go here! My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Palazzo a Merse. It had every comfort and we felt right at home. Margherita always responded quickly to our questions and visited us to make sure we were comfortable. Federica recommended excellent places to visit in the surrounding area. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Tuscany.
