What a wonderful break from the loud, crowded, busy cities. A picturesque view from every window. The bed was the most comfortable one of our whole trip. We loved the comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Monica went above and beyond to make us feel at home. I wish we could have stayed longer, but there is always next time. Already looking at my calendar for a longer stay in 2026.

Airbnb asks you to write a review in few words. Mine is …….. Bellissimo Bellissimo, Bellissimo. But I can’t stop there. When you open the shutters of this beautiful home and all you can see are mountains, greenery and a church in the village, why would you go anywhere else to get away from it all? To other guests who are thinking about visiting Tuscany and having a taste of living in a small Italian village, with delicious food, walks with scenery to die for, then you cannot go wrong with booking this stunning location. Keith and Aisling make you feel so welcome and insist that it is your home for the time you are staying in this wonderful village in the mountains. Their home has a rustic charm and is spotlessly clean and so cosy. It’s also a great base to explore Lucca, Florence and Pisa. Don’t hesitate. Book it now if you are in need of some R&R and a place to re-charge and relax.

Nous avons passé une merveilleuse semaine en famille dans cette maison. La maison est charmante, et la vue est à couper le souffle. Nous avons bien profité des espaces extérieurs. A savoir par contre que la maison est relativement éloignée de la route et des villages à visiter (40-75 minutes de route des villages d’intérêt) mais pour des vacances plus sédentaires, c’est un petit paradis. De plus, notre hôte Mauro a été tout simplement charmant - nous avons apprécié la communication rapide et la flexibilité dans l’heure d’arrivée et de départ.

Casarosa is a vacation house with the warm feeling of a home. Upon entering through the main gate, you are left speechless by the spectacular view. Once you recover from that and look in the opposite direction, you can see the beautiful garden with the pool, everything perfectly maintained. The house is spacious, comfortable, and well-organized. Everything was very clean. Casarosa has everything necessary for your stay. We lacked nothing, Cristiana thought of everything. But now let's talk about the decoration; the house is beautifully decorated with love for details. All the spaces are in harmony and transmit peace. Cristiana personally welcomed us and showed us everything we needed. She even gave us suggestions on restaurants and places to visit. Even after check-in, Cristiana was always available if we wanted to know something. We spent some incredible days in this place; our teenage children were also fascinated by the cool Insta-Spots they found in Casarosa.

Abbiamo trascorso due notti bellissime in questa splendida casa in compagnia della legna scoppiettante dei camini, immersi in un luogo fantastico. Roberta è stata molto reattiva e veloce nella comunicazione, il check in è stato molto facile con la chiave riposta nell'apposita cassetta di sicurezza e la casa corrisponde esattamente alla descrizione e alle foto. Tutte le stanze ed i bagni sono molto puliti, ordinati e accoglienti. La stufa a pellet e i termosifoni elettrici nelle camere hanno dato un tocco di calore in più, ma i due camini erano già più che sufficienti per scaldare l'intero piano terra. La cucina è molto fornita di utensili e stoviglie e la cantina è piena di legna pronta per i camini! Campolemisi è un paesino molto tranquillo, caratteristico e immerso nella natura stupenda della Garfagnana. Grazie mille Roberta, ci siamo sentiti come a casa... Speriamo di poter tornare presto!

A delightful traditional property in an area of outstanding beauty. Miriam was friendly and kind, and the property was clean and well stocked. A kettle would have been a bonus as, although mid May, the weather was cold and we needed lots of hot drinks to keep warm. Miriam very kindly arranged for a neighbour to come and show us how to work the central heating. We really enjoyed our time at La Serra and would highly recommend a stay here if you are a hiker, or just want to get away from it all!

We had a fantastic stay at the Casa Maresa. Our host was very friendly and helpful and gave good instructions at our arrival. The host lives in the ground part of the house, but they were very discrete so you felt you had the needed privacy, while they at the same time were very, very friendly and helpful. The have a cat and a dog, who are lovely and our children cheered them and missed them upon our departure. The location is approx 30 min drive on smaller roads into the mountains. first time it can feel as a long drive, but after a few times you get familiar with i and see it as no hindrance from exploring the surrounding area. in the fourteen days we stayed we had great trips to Lucca, Pisa, Barga and Cinque Terre. We also tried canyoning in the mountains nearby and did a bit of hiking at Mt. Mantanna. Not least we also had great days just relaxing and enjoying the pool, which the kids couldn't resist, and endorsing the tranquility and beauty of the place. A wonderful stay.
