CASA MAYA - BEAUTIFUL STONE HOUSE

Casa Maya is located at Penedo do Lexim just 30 minutes away from Lisbon and 10km from some of the most beautiful beaches in the region. This place is situated half way down the hill from ancient and extint volcanic chimneys, where one can find basaltic outcrops e limestone areas. There is also archaeological evidence at the site which indicates it was inhabited during the Neolithic, Calco Lithic and the Bronze Age. The original flora, as well as its diverse fauna, includes unique species such as the royal-eagle, the barn owl and the fox. Sheltered from the north winds, this place has its own special micro-climate which makes it an oasis of nature, where the visitor is led to align with the energy of the earth. This place consists of a small cluster of stone houses, recovered from pre-existent ruins, with the stones used many times by our ancestors and keepers of this site. The houses are shaped in a traditional manner, with some personal touches and changes which make them more luminous and functional, yet still integrated in the surroundings. In front of the houses, there are beautiful gardens in terraces with leafy trees, ornamental plants and small biological agriculture crops. The interior decoration of the houses one can see a harmonious fusion of several cultures, making its interior comfortable and unique. Conceived as a place for resting, where the visitor has the opportunity to live an experience different from the usual routine, we provide comfortable accomodation as well as a healthy diet. To occupy your leisure time, the guest may choose from a variety of playshops, sighstseeing walks and several other activities.

Casa da Canada

Would you like to live in a stone cottage, rustic, but with a modern ambiance and interior, comfortable, romantic, ideal for two with stunning views? You're in the right place, it's here. There is a deck with lounge chairs, a stone barbecue, the full view of the island of São Jorge and the canal. From its left side, the cliffs of the parishes of São Roque, Praínha and Santo Amaro do Pico, crashing waves and fluttering birds; a sunset to fall in love with… This house is part of a small family owned resort, where there is a restaurant called Magma, a grocery store, a yoga room and an heated swimming pool. The living room has glass sliding door that open the interior nature and the views. What are you waiting for?

Lobeira - Centenary country house and gardens

In Alentejo´s golden fields we find Lobeira, a century-old cottage surrounded by trees, patio, swimming pool and next to a lovely river beach. The original features of the construction in mud, stone and wood were kept, favoring the use of natural materials and local handmade techniques while adding all the necessary amenities to provide a perfect stay. 3 houses, totally independent of each other. Master bedroom, open space living room/kitchen, fireplace, double sofa-bed, in/outdoor dining area.

Round clayhut on agroecologic farm

Stay at the roundhouse on the hill and enjoy the idyllic and secluded atmosphere. Quinta de Ciparros has 11ha and we live ca. 100 m away, in the main farmhouse. We grow and sell vegetables, guests can purchase directly and fresh. The pool with fresh spring water is 50 m away from the hut. (Use at your own risk.) The parking area is 50m downwards, the path is on gravel. The national park Peneda-Gerês is closeby. The Senhora da Lapa chapel with viewpoint hill and Castro de Anissó are close.

The Wind Mill

Beautifully located in hills overlooking the Atlantic Ocean sits the Marinhas windmill. The windmill dates from the year 1758 and was built in the traditional northern Portuguese style with circular walls, two floors, an entrance on the grown floor and two windows on the upper floor. It is classified as a municipal heritage building. The mill is 130 meters above sea level thus providing a breathtaking view over the towns and ocean and a unique retreat for the more adventurous guest.

Quinta do Arade - 4-petal house

Located near the historical town Silves, in a area with beautiful nature surrounding it. It has a NATURAL SWIMMING POOL, swim and relax in the clean swimming area while watching hovering dragonflies, butterflies and all the magic of a natural swimming pool. In 2015 the house was completely renovated with an extension built using straw bales that keeps the house cool in the summer an warm in the winter. Design & nature in traditional hilltop house

Welcome to the Serra de Grândola, a peaceful and serene area, perfect for those who like to be close to nature. The house is located in the village of São Francisco da Serra, with its small church, windmills and cork extraction workers. Nestled on the top of its hill, the house allows quick access to the lagoon of Santo André and the ocean (10km), the villages of Melides (15km), Grândola and Comporta. A car will be required.

Solar-powered wine house located in the Landscape of Pico Island Vineyard Culture - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Just a couple of minutes driving from Madalena village, this traditional and remodeled wine house has its own vineyard on the backyard. A cozy space for two with a bedroom, kitchenette open to living room and a bathroom. The wine house is overlooking the ocean, Faial island and Pico mountain.
