Monthly Rentals in Prairie City

Beautiful location! Just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of city life and yet close enough to our family we were visiting. Peaceful! Lovely covered porch to enjoy nature!

Excellent spot. Came to town for a wedding and had a great stay

We were looking for a home base which had an enclosed back yard for our dog, but we didn’t plan to spend much time at the house as we were visiting family in the area. This place met our needs. The back yard is spartan, you wouldn’t hang out there. Access to it is only by way of the driveway not from the house. It did give some chance for the dog to be off leash a bit, but not large enough for exercise of a medium size dog like ours. That was OK, because the house sits amongst similar rentals across from an elementary school in a residential area. The neighborhood felt safe and there were plenty of walkable residential streets surrounding the school, much of it a few blocks away is fairly new construction, which the dog and I explored on long walks. No one is going to stay here for the breathtaking location, but as a place from which to home base for activities around the Des Moines area, it was well-suited. Safe, clean and well maintained with easy access to I-80.

We were in town for a wedding and the venue was less than a mile away. Very close and convenient. While we were not there for long, it was very comfortable, clean, and inviting. Communication was very clear and we kept in touch the entire time. I highly recommend this space, especially if in town for a wedding at the popular venue down the street.
