Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Reggio Emilia

As others have said—all of the reviews are spot on! A unique setting in the countryside about 30 minutes drive to Parma on mountain roads, beautiful historic building and grounds (with tastefully updated bathrooms to go with the historic charm, plus even a clothes washer and dryer you can access, a rarity in Italy), and a consummate host in Maria Teresa. Using her knowledge and connections to get personalized tours of smaller local parmigiano and prosciutto factories was a real highlight, and we especially enjoyed the nearby Torrechiara castle as well. The kids loved her animals too. 10/10 stay!

We had a great stay in Adriano's house in Parma. The house was really nice, very spacious and in a quiet area but also close to the city centre with many bars, cafes and restaurants nearby. The house was clean and comfortable and had all of the basic provisions which was helpful for a short stay. Adriano was friendly and responsive and gave us some good local advice. Overall an excellent weekend and hope to visit Param again some time.

Beautiful accommodation! We really liked how the interior and exterior are furnished. I particularly liked the garden. There are many charming corners to discover, with statues hidden in the greenery and small tables. Ideal location to spend a weekend in the countryside relaxing away from the city.

We loved our stay so much! Beautiful house and surroundings :) Borgo Val Di Taro is also a cute village to visit for ice cream, food and a good playground for our small kids! Thanks a lot for everything! We wish to come back in the future!

Claudio and his wife were perfect hosts. Always responsive and helpful. Thanks again for the great welcome 🥰 We recovered very well and were able to enjoy the peace and the view. The proximity to the sea (1 hour drive, no curves) surprised us positively. Even if the last kilometer to the house seems adventurous at first glance, everything is half as wild as it is easy to drive. We will probably return.

The place is BEAUTIFUL and the accommodation is as beautiful as in the photos and well-kept in details and cleanliness; highly recommended, therefore, excellent value for money👍 WARNING, in addition to there being no Wi-Fi as specified in the listing, THERE IS NO SIGNAL FOR PHONES in the room and throughout the town. You can access the Wi-Fi connection of Francesco's house in the village, but you have to go there, the connection does not reach the room, so if you have to work remotely, be available or have things to do that require the connection while you are traveling, it is not convenient. Apart from this magical place for those who love romance and nature, the B&B has beautiful people and great hospitality! 🏆😜 Highly recommended 👍🏆🏆🏆

Highly recommend Bazzano and Franco’s house as home base for visiting Bologna, Modena and environs. Unique beautifully maintained historic home with lovely outdoor space. Comfortable bed and a/c was appreciated on warm June night.

Monia is a very kind and helpful host. The house is very large with comfortable beds, two bathrooms with a large and perfectly functioning shower.

We had a pleasant stay! The house was exactly as described: spacious, clean and very welcoming. It was equipped with everything we needed to feel at home. Check-in was easy and the host was extremely kind, helpful and attentive to our needs. We absolutely recommend this accommodation and hope to be able to return soon!

Small apartment located in an area mainly close to the center. Great parking availability for those traveling by car like me. The function of using the phone as house keys is great. Very clean apartment, small but with everything you need to spend a night. The balcony is also very nice.

Martina is a very conscientious and helpful host. From the very beginning, she made sure to provide us with all the useful information and met us halfway regarding some of the needs they had. The apartment is in a strategic, residential area, but close to the center. For any needs or maintenance, you can refer to a "trusted person" who lives nearby. We rented the apartment for the editorial staff of our newspaper during the Festival of Work Culture because they needed a space to work together and easily reach the festival venues. i would say a positive experience.

We didn’t really deal with Federico but his housekeeper Antoinette met us at the apartment, she was super friendly and helpful and we had a fabulous stay! The apartment was lovely, clean, tastefully decorated and comfortable. The large terrace was a lovely place to sit with a glass of wine or to have breakfast. The apartment is an easy 10 minute walk to the centre of Bologna with all the food shops, historic sights, Bars and restaurants. There are also bars and restaurants nearby and a coop and convenience store just across the road. We would definitely recommend this apartment and go back to Federico’s and Bologna. sights,bars shops and restaurants

We felt extremely comfortable in Matteos accommodation. It is located in a picturesque setting that offers a lot of peace and relaxation. The rooms are designed with great attention to detail and equipped with everything you need. Overall, a stay with Matteo is highly recommended and we will definitely come back!

We had a wonderful time at Francesca's place and she made us feel very welcome. We had everything we needed and were happy to come back here every time to rest after a long day of exploring the city. Would recommend!

Perfectly located in the heart of Bologna, this charming apartment is just steps from Old Town, top restaurants, shops, museums, and iconic spots like the Neptune statue and “La Strada del Jazz.” Almost everything is walkable within minutes. The apartment is warm, comfortable, and tastefully decorated with original, eclectic artwork throughout. Thoughtful touches and two private outdoor spaces make it especially inviting—great for couples or friends traveling together. Rocco, the owner, was an exceptional host—communicative, helpful, and generous with welcome snacks and breakfast items. He even helped with our luggage, which made arriving much easier. We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it for a comfortable and memorable Bologna stay.

Davide's apartment is excellent, perfectly maintained and very beautiful aesthetically, but above all functional! I highly recommend it.

Alina was very responsive and the place was super clean and comfy. It had everything we needed. There's a bus stop right in front of the apartment which takes you directly to the city centre. It was calm and quiet, which let us get rested after a busy day exploring the city. I would choose this place again if I come back to Bologna :)

Excellent location and multiple communications with owners were responded to immediately with clear guidelines. We were given early access to the flat and garage which was lucky as it turned out the street was closed that day for a 25th anniversary celebration. Flat is accurately presented and described. It is very clean and the bedroom is quiet at night. Entry was a bit complicated as I also rented the garage - lock on front door, then a lock box for garage key/ remote and then a lock box for flat. Having said that, flat and garage were extremely secure and it was easy after that. Definitely recommend the flat and its central location. Parma is a lovely town.

We spent a fantastic weekend in Flor's apartment. The accommodation is in a very good location (the city center can be reached on foot in 10-15 minutes and you can park for free on the street). The air conditioning made an important contribution to our quality of stay when the outside temperature was over 30°C. For our son, the historic elevator was the highlight. The beds were very comfortable and the apartment was very clean and functional. We would definitely recommend Flor's accommodation.

The apartment was impeccable and so tastefully and finely decorated. There were a lot of small details. There was nothing missing. Riccardo responded immediately to my messages and I really appreciated his understanding of a small problem I had. We felt safe too and it's ideally located near the train station. A grocery store is a few minutes' walk away and it is located close to the main attractions of Modena. I would definitely go back.

A trip chosen almost to play with my girlfriend Oriana, three days of wonderful emotions and feelings to take home. Assunta and Ivan, with their Matilde (beautiful dog of extraordinary sweetness), transported us into a dream, from the warm welcome, to the small attentions. And if the details make a difference, and they do, there are a lot of details here, from the cleanliness of the place to the crazy breakfasts! A project, that of their B&B, of extraordinary beauty. From the entrance there are wonderful scents, from lavender to dry straw; the colors are earthy, natural, sincere, a bit like their smile. It was great to chat with them about anything. We recommend learning how much more you need to know about the place and the surroundings. There are wonderful stories in those valleys full of nature, and they're there within walking distance. This extraordinary place really deserves to be seen, but above all lived. Highly recommended!
