Welcome to our home! We’re offering sunny, spacious and cosy private room located in Dinan centre, only a 3 minute-walk to the medieval town and ideally-positioned for visiting nearby Dinard, St Malo,Rennes and Mont St. Michel. Dinan is a medieval town with a relaxing atmosphere. It has city walls (donjon, towers and doors from the 13th, 14th and 15th centuries), medieval streets (Rue du Jerzual) and charming plazzas: Du Guesclin plazza and Du Champs plazza famous for its glass facades from the 18th century. Once a fortress for the ducs de Bretagne, Dinan is one of the best-preserved and prettiest towns in Brittany. We have two 17 sq m bedroom incl en suite (shower/ bath, toilets, towel dryer, sink) with a TV and wireless internet. Towels and fresh linen provided. Baby cot, babychair are available. Breakfast is included. The house has a big garden overlooking the ramparts and is located in the city centre, just outside the city walls. 3 mins walk to the medieval town. You will be able to park your car in the garden. Note that blue room (Pavillon Gaudel bleu) on top floor offers option to get your own fully equiped kitchen to prepare yourself diner in case you prefer this option rather than eating outside in numerous Dinan restaurants... Really close to all amenities, train station (10mins easy walk) and medieval town (3mins walk). ACTIVITIES: Major historical attractions include St Saviour's Basilica, the flamboyant Gothic St Malo's Church, the Collège des Cordeliers, the Romanesque Duchess Anne's Tower (Tour de l'horloge), the Jacobins Theatre dating from 1224 and the Château de Dinan. Dinan's "jardin Anglais" ( "English garden" located behind St Saviour's Basilica) offers a lovely panorama overlooking the valley, the River Rance, the old harbor and the viaduct. The town retains a large section of the city walls, part of which can be walked round. The remparts promenade is a must. Between the back garden of our house and the small ditches you will find the "jardin des petits diables" ("garden of the litlle devils"), with playgrounds for kids: toboggan, slides, a minigolf and an animal garden. DINAN'S MUSEUMS: the castle museum; the rail museum; Yvonne Jean Haffen museum (famous Breton painter); the 39-45 WWII museum ARCHEOLOGICAL SITES: Corseul 7 km and Pleslin 5 km THE MUST-SEE'S: Lehon Abbey 2 km; Taden Manor (Gallo-Roman villa; 1st-2nd century A.D.) 5 km SPECIAL EVENTS: Tour de France this summer! The "Fête des Remparts" is Dinan's major highlight. It occurs on the third weekend of July and is held in even-numbered years (2014 is the next one). Locals dress up in medieval costumes and duels are staged. WE ARE LOCATED AT: 32km from Cancale (oyster farming site). La maison est idéalement située - à 5 mn de Plélan le Grand, pour découvrir les nombreux sites remarquables et les légendes de la forêt de Brocéliande et parcourir les nombreux sentiers de randonnée jalonnant la forêt - à 1 h de la mer - à 10 mn à pied de la salle 5B, à 6 mn en voiture des Forges de Paimpont. Réductions à partir de 2 ou 3 nuits. Décoration refaite début 2025.

Private room in a quiet townhouse.

The house is located in a very quiet subdivision close to restaurants and a pizzeria. 15 minutes from Rennes Exhibition Park or Ker Lann Center and 10 minutes from Lohéac Automobile Museum. You will have a double bed, a private bathroom if you are the only guests and a shared bathroom if there are others. You have access to the living room and kitchen and breakfast is included After major renovations, the decor is in progress but I'm working on it. Looking forward to welcoming you soon.

Upstairs room dedicated exclusively to our guests with toilet and private shower room. Breakfast is included and served on the veranda. Close to the tourist sites of Fougères (20 min), Mont St Michel (30 min), the Château du Rocher Portail is only 2 km away. Beaches 40 minutes away (Jullouville) and an hour from St Malo. between Brittany and Normandy.
