For adventurous travelers who will appreciate the 10-minute panoramic walk to the house (we will transport your luggage and groceries by tractor). The magical view of the world below with the coast on the horizon which can be enjoyed from every room of the house and from the entire olive orchard with its walking paths and plunge pool with waterfall. Being a pedestrian village, Metato is quiet and peaceful. Yet, the beach and many great places to visit are a short drive away- Pisa, Florence, Lucca, the marble quarries of Cararra, Pietrasanta, Viareggio.... Guests have exclusive access to the pool and property. Metato is a friendly litttle village in the hills overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. There is a quaint family-run restaurant in the village that serves local homemade dishes at a very reasonable price. Our pedestrian village tends to attract kind people in search of peace and quiet and a proximity with nature. Time seems to go by more slowly here. It is a perfect base for families who want to explore Tuscany and the beaches of the Versilia coast. The home is in a beautiful, quiet location on a hill surrounded by olive orchards and vineyards just a 10-minute walk from the parking lot. Explore the medieval village of Metato where fireflies and breathtaking views await. Take an invigorating hike or head to the beaches a short drive away. There is a parking lot at the base of the village where you can park the car. The village itself is pedestrian but I am happy to greet guests at the parking lot on their arrival to transport their luggage, groceries and whoever wants to ride to the house with my little Italian tractor! The nearest airport is Pisa (45-minutes by car). All the major car rental places can be found there. The nearest train station is Viareggio.

Beautiful house with spectacular views and infinity pool. Very private, no other guests or sharing anything. This is something else. Villa Vetteglia is built on a hilltop, the views are 360 degrees. 3 bed (with AC) and 3 bath (beds 7/8 are a comfortable pull out bed in the living room) The location is private and remote yet close to Lucca, Pisa, Florence. Bagni di Lucca (for shopping) is 7km. About the location, it is on a asphalted mountain road, but see the pics before you make a booking :)

The Arches - a beautifully renovated apartment

'The Arches' is a beautiful, traditional Garfagnana home. The building is around 500 years old, and is thought to be at the very heart of the original Cardoso, with the village growing around this centre over the next few centuries. Recently restored, the house has many original features, including wooden beams, terracotta tiles and its two distinctive arches. Quality features complement this history in the form of two modern bathrooms, central heating and a contemporary kitchen.

Located in the center of the village, you can easily walk to bars, restaurants, shops and all services (ATM, pharmacy, etc.). The apartment, located on the third floor, modern and bright, is equipped with all the comforts, the spaces are large and tastefully furnished. Four-room apartment ideal for families who love to ski comfortably. Located 30 meters from the facilities and slopes, you can leave and return to the apartment with boots on your feet. Under the apartment there is a ski rental. You will find a first double bedroom, a second bedroom with a bunk bed, a living room with a sofa and TV, an equipped kitchen and a table for 4 people. On-site parking is for a fee, but guests will have free parking reserved for them.
