Holiday rentals with breakfast in River Eden

The apartment is great and very comfortable, and had everything we needed for a good stay. The area is beautiful and we enjoyed walks to the lakes and also to trails which can be accessed from the from the front door.

We were very comfortable in Andrew's fascinating and characterful home. Everything we needed was there including fresh milk in the fridge and a bowl of fruit on the table. Plenty of towels and hot water. The garden is lovely (frogs in the pond!) and the area historically interesting. Would be happy to stay there again.

Perfect stay for our recent trip to the Lake District for a charity walk. Beautiful cottage with everything we could need and lots of communication from the host to make sure the stay and check in was smooth! A beautiful retreat in a beautiful part of the world. A great place for a meeting amongst friends. Plenty of space, extra blankets for cold nights and a fire to keep warm. An amazing authentic experiences which was loved by all of us. This was a place to remember. Thanks.

Second time staying. Great location. Easy check-in. House was great. Nice little garden to sitnin for breakfast. Loved the little welcome basket and was great having the parking permit.

Firstly we have to say a very warm welcome was had. We are very new to Air B and B. Many little items were found, such as dog treats and the welcome pack. Erica came across as very understanding as we took our own bedding as we do not use a duvet. The garden is fully enclosed which suited our dogs perfect. The baby gate came in very usefully as the rules of no pets upstairs.

This is hand on heart the best equipped Airbnb we've ever stayed in - it had absolutely everything we needed, even the slightly niche items! The place itself was gorgeous, clean, neat, and had beautiful surroundings as well. The little touches of bottled water, fresh milk and fruit just topped it off too. It was the best stay we've had and we won't hesitate to stay again next year and to recommend it to our friends! Thank you Joanna for being the most lovely host - others should be more like you! x

Lovely apartment booked for my sister in law visiting from the US. Beautifully appointed, very comfortable, easy parking and the perfect location for us. She was very pleased that we found her such a great place to stay and is hoping to return! I would definitely book Sophia's place again for visitors to Hexham...or maybe just for myself!! Great location in Dufton right on the Pennine Way. A perfect base for walking and exploring the beautiful local countryside. Compact residence with everything you'd need. Very clean and tidy and well laid out. Friendly, personal greeting from Julie, once I'd settled in, and really nice to have fresh bread, eggs and milk provided and even a welcome cake. Any questions and Julie was on hand to help.

10/10 in all aspects. The location is a fantastic base to explore beautiful Kendal, Ambleside and Windermere. The apartment was impeccable. Everything you could ever need provided. Loved all the thoughtful elements from the books, the furniture and pantry extras. Thank you

Beautiful apartment Helen’s instructions were really clear & check in was seamless. Didn’t really get to appreciate the surrounding area except for the stunning views. This was a brief visit as our son was competing in the Lakes Ultramarathon. We were very grateful for the welcome hamper this allowed him to refuel post race. We will definitely be back ❤️

We had a really lovely few days. Very comfortable studio with an excellent location for trips in the dales. Unfortunately, the battery went flat on the car when we were leaving. We were going to Settle on a helicopter ride, so it was a bit stressful. We had loaned our car out and then borrowed my mother in laws car (long story) I was so embarrassed, because its a shed on wheels and it was covered in massive bird poo's. I wanted the ground to swallow me up! A lovely woman passed by, and was monumentally pleasant and helpful. She went and brought her car, that was unsuccessful at first, then she went for her husband and it finally started. We were so grateful to be setting off and only realised later that she had told us her name was Leigh Anne. It was the airbnb owner. She was the most lovely and extremely helpful person. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Motherby House and am so grateful to the hosts, Jacquie and David, for making me feel so welcome. They’re both kind and engaging—and they gave me some great recommendations for places to eat and visit in the area. Breakfast was delicious and Jacquie kindly made me a tasty packed lunch for my hike! I’d be very happy to stay here again.

Spent two nights at Brian’s and would’ve loved to have spent a few more. Brian provided a delicious continental breakfast and gave us plenty of information on the surrounding areas. Beautiful old farmhouse in a stunning location.

Me and a group of friends stayed here over Easter and it was the most incredible place. Anton and Penny were so helpful and lovely. The complimentary breakfast and food at the pub was so delicious and the yurt was so cosy, clean and well put together. Would definitely come back to this Airbnb. Penrith was a 15 minute drive away and the village was very picturesque. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting a relaxing stay with some very helpful hosts

Wendy and Tony were fantastic hosts, and they made us feel totally at home. The location is so special, right on the Cumbria Way. We are so grateful for all the extra help - notably a request for porridge for breakfast before a race I had, and helping me to dry out my shoes afterwards!

Brenda was a lovely host, very helpful, great communication, lovely old cottage and great location for hiking.

What a memorable stay in the Lake District, in an absolute beautiful and remote place that has so much history! Kate was a fantastic host, we loved our conversations together and hanging out by the fire in the evening. The cats and the hens brought us so much joy! Kate went above and beyond to set up breakfast with many choices - even accommodating for gluten and dairy free. The road to get there is an adventure in itself, luckily there's not much traffic and it went really well for us. We would highly recommend staying there! Note that the ground in front of the house is uneven and there are a few steps to get into the house, which can be challenging for people who have difficulties going up stairs. You might be as lucky as us and have a cat waiting for you at the top though!

My second visit to stay at Penny's, she is always a very welcoming and a friendly host with a great local knowledge and super helpful advice. The rooms are compfortable, clean and well presented, I slept like a baby! If I come back to Penrith again I will look to stay here everytime 👌

Our second time staying, but this time with two toddlers as well. Helen and Peter couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We felt very so welcome and they really looked after us. We all enjoyed the lovely breakfast provided and slept well in the peaceful and comfortable room. This is a perfect b&b and we would highly recommend.
