Motherby House

Motherby House is an 18th century grade II traditional farmhouse, the house has lost none of its original charm. Hooks embedded in oak beams show where bacon was once cured and log fires add to the warm homely atmosphere. Families are always welcome. Unwind and relax in our oak beamed living room with a refreshing cup of tea or coffee and a selection of home made cakes. There is off road parking and secure storage for cycles. The hamlet of Motherby, is positioned between Penrith and Keswick.

The spacious loft is the perfect place to relax after a day's sightseeing or travelling. The private entrance means the space is completely your own so kick back and enjoy a bit of TV or film, or find out more about the area and it's history The main room has a comfortable king size bed, TV and seating area. The second bedroom has a microwave and fridge with fresh milk a plentiful supply of breakfast cereals , teas & coffee and a single chair bed.Fresh coffee and toast served in the morning

We are a family run Bed and Breakfast and pride ourselves on providing luxury and comfortable accommodation within our home and do all we can to ensure you enjoy your stay with us. Set on the Dales Way, in the heart of the Lake District National Park lies Cragg House Farm. This working family farm now doubles up as a luxurious 2 room B&B. Run by Liz, alongside my husband Edward who manages the farm. Cragg House over looks acres of land occupied by livestock and panoramic views of the fells. The tranquil farm is only two miles outside of Bowness-on-Windermere. There are great local pubs and eateries and walks. There is even a golf course less than half a mile away.

A luxury self-catering studio apartment with exposed slate walls, on our top (second) floor, Penthouse is suitable for a couple, two adults with a child, or a group of three. It has a solid oak, king-sized bed and a solid oak, single sofa bed, mini-kitchen and living area. The kitchenette has a small hob, fridge, and microwave. The bathroom has a roll-top bath and separate shower. Penthouse also enjoys access to a private roof terrace with stunning panoramic views. Too beautiful to miss!

The bedroom is on the ground floor with an ensuite private shower room. We are close to the hospital, ideal if need somewhere to stay if you are working there for a week or two. Breakfast is provided for you in the utility room, you are welcome to use our dining room.
