Unusually light and bright three bedroom town house in the heart of historical Domfront. A few minutes walk to the medieval quarter and main town facilities. Pick up your breakfast baguette just a few doors along. Private garden with patio, lawned area and secure garage for car and bikes. Le Joli Pre @the_little_french_house

Above the scenic Varenne river valley, this 300-year-old stone cottage has spectacular views of the chateau above and the ancient Notre Dame church below. Complete with a private meadow garden, we are just a 5 minute walk into the medieval city of Domfront with its cafes, bars, restaurants and many a boulangerie. Rich with history, beautiful flowers and breathtaking views of the sweeping woodland valley, it is a timelessly beautiful landscape.

“Gîte de Pépé”, townhouse near the castle

“Le gîte de pépé” is a charming little house with an exterior. It has been fully renovated and equipped for you to have a comfortable stay. Ideal for 4, it can accommodate up to 6 people. Located in the small town of Lassay-les-Châteaux, voted 3rd favorite village of the French 2023, you will find a few meters from the medieval castle, all the useful shops as well as the tourist office. Many walks can be taken from the cottage.

La Maison Blanche. A quiet and Cosy Rural Retreat

La Maison Blanche is situated in the hamlet of Le Peron . Surrounded by fields and countryside, the area is very quiet with little traffic. A great area for walkering and cycling, or just soaking up the peace an quiet. Deer, Hare, and squirrels can be seen often, along with many species of wild birds. The hedgerow flowers in the spring are just lovely and all nature lovers will feel completely at home.

All shops within walking distance (bakeries, butchers, tobacconists, grocery stores... see my guide), bus station and SNCF. Very well-equipped accommodation. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. This house was renovated in the porch of a farm dating from 1671 with eco-materials (lime, hemp, wood). Ideally located to visit the Alpes Mancelles (8 km), the Ecouves Forest (5 km) or the charming town of Alençon (10 km). In the countryside, but not far from the village where all the shops and services are located.

The Firs

A renovated old cider barn, with plenty of original character beams. A cosy lounge and well equipped kitchen are found on the ground floor. Access to the first floor is up a spiral stair case, leading to a large open bedroom and bathroom, plus a separate Sipper bath located on a small mezzanine.
