I have nothing bad to say, the house has been better than we expected and Bernard has been an exceptional host! Everything clean and the nature that surrounds it is incredible, the photos do not do it justice. The town is small and quiet, just what we were looking for (and there is also a small football pitch that we did not expect and has been the icing on the cake!). Superb small house well equipped, very quiet, in the center of the village. Exciting industrial historical background. Escaro is an adorable village where we felt perfectly serene and let our children frolic safely to the city park where they could make friends. Visit the museum of the mine and surroundings to recommend. Good starting point for cycling or hiking (Col de Mantet where we met a part of the Mitchelton-Scott team in training). To refresh, it is also possible to dive in the stream near Sahorre village where you will find a very good butcher (who groceries). The restaurant "Café Restaurant de la Mine" in Sahorre is absolutely recommendable. In short, great stay in disconnect mode! We recommend this rental. Thanks to Andrée for his welcome.

Escaro is a charming village, very quiet. The nature around is beautiful and the view from the house is beautiful. Our children were able to play all week with children from the village and came back delighted. There are very nice sites to see around (Villefranche-de-Conflent, the abbeys, the mountain, etc.) and gastronomy to discover. The house is very well equipped and Andrée and her husband were very attentive and responsive hosts. Note: the wifi can only be picked up on the ground floor, in a part of the living room and the bathroom and reception 4G is random. These are mostly disconnected holidays. We highly recommend this location.

A beautiful rural house in a wonderful little village in the Pyrenees-Orientales in the Languedoc-Roussillon region, ideal if you like tranquility and enjoy nature, very well located, with plenty of hiking trails and wonderful places to visit like Villefranche- de-Conflent or Les Grottes des Canalettes among others. We had a pleasant stay in Vernet-les-Bains. We stayed in a clean and well equipped apartment. We were close to several hikes, an animal park, a cave and the casino. A little further we did the baths of St. Thomas and the open air baths and we enjoyed ourselves. Finally we went to the resort (about 1 hour drive) where we were able to do dog sledding, the children loved it and so did we! I highly recommend. Yvan was also responsive to my messages.

A beautiful and peaceful environment. A very cozy, well-decorated, clean apartment. The perfect location as it is located in a part of the village away from the main streets in a very green area with a beautiful park in front.

We stayed here with our two children ages 8 & 5, and had the most lovely time . Please note the N116 road to the local ski resorts (Les Angles, Font Romeu) was temporarily closed, so we were unable to go up there. Highly recommend arriving in the daytime, as the road up to Canaveilles is quite narrow. As you can't park near the house, I highly recommend making sure everything is on wheels. I was almost regretting leaving my little pull wagon at home. The kitchen is very nicely appointed. Beds were clean and comfortable. The interior stairs are steep and ladder like, but my kids had no issues. I had a bit of a learning curve lighting the fire, but managed it. My kids loved the swing in the little garden, and my 5 year old loved playing with the toys there. The views are absolutely spectacular. We loved our 3 day stay.

The perfect place to disconnect, withdraw from all urban noise, enjoy great views in a house equipped with everything you need to be comfortable. Highly recommended for families with children! A few minutes from natural hot springs, the enchanted ruins of a spa destroyed by a fire decades ago, the essential Train Jaune and great trails. The ski slopes are a little further. All a find! Elaine and Jon respond almost immediately to any question, their advice is very valuable. 200% recommendation!

Jon's accommodation is in an unbeatable location for those fleeing the mundane noise and want to be reunited with silence and nature. The stone house they offer is a small haven of peace fully equipped in which to spend a few days away from the hustle and bustle.

What a spot! I live in Barcelona and we have been trying to escape to a cosy winter mountain cabin or isolated house for ages and can never find one. This was only 3 hours away which is manageable and offered everything we hoped for - a cosy private isolated house, carved into the rock face, on a hill with a spectacular view, I can imagine amazing in both summer and winter, contained but open plan and with a kitchen fully equipped to cook anything from home morning and night with good quality kitchen utensils pots and pans. I was worried about the cold but in the end I didn’t need to be as it was so warm with the wood burner and the two electric heaters in the bedrooms. I have to say I miss an open fire with a crackling fireplace where one can see the flames compared to a closed wood burner but it was still really cosy. I can’t wait to go back to this gem of a spot! I went with my boyfriend and it was so romantic, he played guitar and I drew and read. It was ideal and we never even left the house! Plus they had board games which was great and so homely!

Pauline's accommodation is in an unbeatable location, the house is large and has everything you need to live. We were 7 and we were very comfortable. A cottage a little isolated in the mountains but the setting is really superb! Pauline was very welcoming and responsive. The accommodation is very comfortable and has all the appliances necessary for a long stay: coffee maker, kettle, oven and cooking fire, fridge, washing machine and dishes, electric heating and wood burning stove.

Pauline is an amazing host. The place is just as described and Escaro is a quiet village, which is amazing if you want to disconnect. We recommend it 100%.

Authentic village in a rural setting, the colors of autumn, stone and water have delighted us during this stay. Thank you for the time spent at the reception. I was fortunate enough to go to Ericas place for a weekend In Novemeber. Coming from Barcelona, she made it very clear how to navigate the snowy mountian road etc. The village itself is beautiful and of course worth the drive. Beautiful time spent cooking with Family and sitting by the fire or hiking in the snow. Would lvoe to come back! Wonderful stay!

We had a fantastic stay. The pictures don’t do this place justice. Has everything you could need and couldn’t be located in a more beautiful location. Hikes right outside the door or only a 1-2 hour drive away if you want to hike Canigo, Carlit etc. Pretty village, very remote, with very friendly and open people, locally produced cheese and beers. Erica is a super nice and helpful host.

It is a really beautiful and comfortable house. It has everything and was very clean. It is a small village and far from everything, but if you want to disconnect it is the right place. Also at night you can see a beautiful and starry sky. The room above has beautiful views, I could spend hours sitting watching through the large window. Every day I woke up to see the sunrise and it is a beautiful gift of nature that you should not miss. Genevieve is super friendly and her husband too. It was a different Christmas! Ideal to escape and rest.

A very nice and cozy house in the French Pyrenees, totally recommended!

The house has an outstanding location with a stunning view of Mt Canigou from the bedroom. It has all the facilities needed for a stay in the mountains and was a perfect base for walking. We'd come by public transport and easily found the short but strenuous walk to the village from the bus stop in Olette. We were there in late October so it was chilly at night but the wood burner kept us very cosy. There are no shops in the village, limited ones in Olette, but Prades, the local town, has everything you need.

An ideal place for sportsmen or people looking for calm or serenity. The cottage is certainly small but equipped with all the necessary equipment for a good stay. The village of Py is a bit isolated but really gives off something. It is also the starting point for many hikes. I recommend!

Photos cannot describe how wonderful this house and garden are. The well kept garden is filled with fruit trees, flowers and herbs and overlooks a beautiful stream. This is all framed by luscious green mountains and clear blue skies all around. The house is just as described and was a perfect home for our month stay. Maryse, the host was very welcoming and very helpful in so many ways and made our stay easy and very comfortable. We are hikers and so every day we went on some of them most stunning hikes we have ever been on in the surrounding area and also down along the coast near Collioure. We would highly recommend this house and it's location, it is one of the best places we have ever stayed.

The house has all the amenities you need and is close to very beautiful places, such as Vilafranche de Conflent, picturesque village perfect for eating, Vernet les Bains, the zoo of Casteil or an excursion to the Abbey of Canigó. Perfect holidays in the middle of nature.

We have spent some great days in a great house. Maryse is a perfect hostess, she has left everything very well prepared and has a home that is worth a visit. The environment is magical, caves, caves, mountains, waterfalls ...

a quiet place, we had a pleasant holiday in peace and sound of the river. The children were able to play with the small canals in the garden to cool off. The garden is very well laid out and maintained. The cottage is functional, very clean, there is room in the garage to store. There was available toilet paper, shower gels, soaps. The beds were prepared, the linen very clean, the bedding comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with cutlery, crockery ... to summarize you drop your suitcases and you relax (on many chairs, armchair ...) in the shade of a plane tree murier !! Thank you for your welcome whether on departure or on arrival.

If like me you like the warm atmosphere, in the enveloping reds a little loaded but always stylish, you have found your nest, no detour go there!

Chez Vivi is cosy and comfortable. Vivian is a great host and prepares very good food, including vegetarian. She collected me from the bus when I arrived, tired after a long days travel. She also accommodated my need for dinner at short notice as I did not have a car. This Airbnb gives you a real taste of living in a French village, but it is better if you have a car as there is no shop or cafe close by and it is a steep hill climb to Chez Vivi. Otherwise, bring a backpack, not a suitcase!

High mountain hostel perfect! Quiet atmosphere

Her house is a haven of peace with a magnificent view of the Canigou and she allowed us to enjoy her swimming pool. His 2 poodles are adorable too and yet in general I'm not too bold with animals. Place to recommend. Southern heat found in the home and accent. Ideal for short stays. I recommend the breakfasts. Excellent and at a good price! Very positive experience of our stay at Delphine and Jonathan!

The cottage is very cute, it has two bedrooms, a small balcony and a bathroom with a washing machine dryer, which was very nice at the end of our 5 days hike! There is also a fridge, a microwave, in short, all the necessary comfort. All within a small charming village in the beautiful valley of Rotja. A bit isolated if you are without a car, there is only one inn / grocery store for food. But Py is connected to Prades by bus, which passes twice a day. Delphine was very friendly and even made me share a friendly moment with her friends, a real Airbnb experience that we would not have at the hotel! Thanks again !

Large house, comfortable, with all amenities, clean. If you go in winter it is super hot. unbeatable location. Free parking in front of the house. Marie Alice and her husband Rémy are very nice. I would return without hesitation.

This really is a lovely place to stay - a very comfortable house in a sunny location, only a short walk from the village centre, where (I know from experience!) you can be kept awake all night by the church bells! Here we could barely hear them so we slept well. Very comfortable, I recommend it.

Great stay in a spacious house (we were six) and very well equipped. There is nothing missing. The house is well placed, out of Villefranche de Conflent, to refuel in croissants and bread in the morning for breakfast and make sandwiches for hikes. From the house you can walk to the train station to catch the yellow train. We took it to the Baths of St. Thomas for an afternoon of relaxation (be careful 45 minutes walk from the station, being many we coupled train and car to avoid walking and enjoy baths longer). Always beautiful region and always new things and landscapes to discover whenever you come. we will come back.

we had a great time in marie alice accommodation. the hygiene is irreproachable and the bedding exceptional. it is a very nice accommodation with well-appointed exteriors (table, chair and also deckchair ...). quiet and relaxing accommodation after a busy day enjoying this beautiful region.

Accommodation to recommend. Everything is perfect. Home, complete equipment, location, we feel at home.

we were greeted in front of the house, and we went around the owner. In front of a small terrace with garden furniture, at the back another terrace with table chairs and barbecue. The interior is charming and very well equipped nothing is missing, 4 bedrooms, shower room with Italian shower, very comfortable living room, 2 toilets. The owner is a charming man who does not leave you indifferent. We will be back again. I recommend this rental.
