Situated on the beautiful Doe river, you can step into the front yard and enjoy fly fishing or simply sit on the porch and enjoy the sound of the water. Located just a mile from Roan Mt State Park and 12 miles from the majestic mile high Roan Mt, home of the enchanting Rhodendron Gardens. This area is near Watauga Lake, Bristol Motor Speedway, several ski resorts, lots of hiking trails including the world famous Appalachian Trail. You will be in the midst of some of the prettiest fall leaves. The Blue Ridge Parkway is also nearby. There are so many things to do here, you will never be bored. We have several local restaurants that will keep you well fed.

Country Cottage gives you the chance to relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay with great mountain views. We are also pet friendly, with plenty of yard to let them play while you enjoy the mountain scenery! The living room has a couch with a queen pull out bed, and the back room also has a pull out futon bed for more guests! The master bathroom has a walk in shower. This River Cottage is about 15 minutes from the Bristol Motor Speedway. It will sleep up to 6 individuals. There is access to hiking, fishing (out you back door), antique shopping within minutes. The downtown of Elizabethton is a 5 minute walk. The Covered Bridge is the structure shown. For those who have no prior reviews on Airbnb, we may require the completion of our standard rental questionnaire, especially for longer stays.

Joe’s Tree Retreat

Located at the top of a mountain in the Cherokee National Forest, this home is the perfect getaway from the city with no street lights or engine noise! 4/10 of a mile to Lake Watauga and the Appalachian Trail. >15 mins to zip lines, hiking & under an hour to the NC ski slopes. Route to home is on paved, all season roads. Driveway is steep, but parking available on the street also. NO FIRES ALLOWED ON THIS PROPERTY.
