A trip to charming Saluda is like a step back in time and Liberty Hall log cabin welcomes you to sit a while on the front porch and take in the spectacular mountain views. A hike on the nature conservancy trail right outside the front door and chasing fireflies at dusk make this an ideal spot to relax and unwind. Quaint downtown Saluda offers varied dining options and numerous breweries close by offer a refreshing break after tubing down the Green River or hiking down to gaze at a waterfall.

Reconnect with nature in this off grid wild mountain setting. 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive access only. AWD SUBARUS get up just fine! Steep gravel road. There is 2 wheel drive parking space available with a steep 1/2 mile hike to the cabin. If we are close by we could arrange a shuttle… Bring your own sheets, pillow cases and towels. Originally constructed in 1921, it is now beautifully restored with new wiring, modern room configuration, central heat and A/C, WiFi, a working fireplace, generator & all new appliances, lighting, furnishings and bedding. Peaceful and lovely. Within 45 minutes of 67 summer camps, 3.5 miles from downtown Hendersonville.

The Happy Red Cabin

I'm a small cabin located in a wonderful setting with other houses on gravel roads. My owners put their hearts and souls into my creation. I have 2 BR's & BR's, great room, kitchen, W/D, 2 porches, patio and a fire pit. Located 2.5 miles from Saluda, NC - a delightful small WNC town. I'm up the hill from a small private lake *as of 2026 temporarily drained for repairs* NO WI-FI, weak cell. Guest pass for lake property provided. Sorry, NO PETS or SMOKING.

Cozy one bedroom log cabin with large private back deck and hot tub. While being surrounded by nature can be an enjoyable and a relaxing break from hectic day to day lifestyles, please realize that this cabin is in the woods and we do have carpenter bees and camel crickets along with some ants. We strive to keep the pests at bay but they are part of mountain life. Shared spaces include the fire pit along with the overlook bench.
