"A relaxing bath in the spectacular freestanding bathtub enjoying the tranquility and beauty of Boboli' s garden ..." Welcome to Relais il Ronco a luxurious and quiet apartment with large garden located in the center of Florence in the district of San Frediano in a secluded and exclusive street.
“This was a great stay. A home away from home in a beautiful location, a wall away from the Gardens of Boboli. The flat is stylish with all the amenities (cooking, washing machine, airco, large eating and working table etc), and includes a lovely and peaceful garden, noiseless because the location is just across the Arno, far enough from summer tourist groups and close enough to visit the city on foot. I personally used a bicycle, which gave me a lot of freedom. A wonderful stay and an excellent host, full of information about places to visit or where to eat according to what I felt like. Thanks again Lola.”
In Florence neighborhood full of markets, shops and restaurants, a quaint apartment with floors and beamed a few steps from the cradle artistic renaissance. The road is the entrance to an unexpected silence in the center of Florence
“Beautiful and authentic! Very good value for money – we definitely recommend it. Maurizio was very responsive throughout tho we did not meet him - his wife and kids were there to welcome us. Check-in and check-out times were really flexible and we really appreciate it that he allowed us to leave our luggage in the apartment on the day of departure. For COVID, hand sanitizer+ wipes and face masks were also provided. Location is great - close to centre of town but not in the middle of it so that one could still drive close by and park easily. Maurizio was helpful in directing us to the on-street parking which we found easily. Apartment is very spacious and stylishly decorated and is exactly what was shown on the pictures. Well equipped kitchen, even with a washing machine (tho we did not use). Rain shower was in the shower room was very comfortable. Apartment was clean though we found the floor of the living room / bed room to be slightly "sandy" - could be because of the clay(?) flooring. The apartment does get a little warm but Maurizio provided 5 (i think) fans, which helped. 2 things that might just be because of luck and not fully in Maurizio's control and therefore, we have not complained to him during our stay: - 2 lights in the living room no longer worked - living room was slightly dark - there were on-going renovations on the level below - it was not too much of a bother as works were only done during the day and we were out most of the day anyway. 2 other points for future guests would be: - the apartment is on level 2 with narrow stairs, be prepared to be able to carry your luggage up the stairs (with a strong bf there is no problem ;) ) - there are mosquitoes in the apartment - Maurizio provided a mosquito repellent device. If you are prone to mosquito bites like me, look for it and switch it on whenever you are in the apartment. My bf did not have a problem.”

“My husband and I had a fantastic honeymoon in the Tower. Definitely recommend arriving before dark if you aren’t accustomed to driving in Italy. Majla is very nice, responsive, and her English is perfect! We packed a lot as we were traveling for 2 weeks, so I recommend small luggage as there are many stairs. The climb is definitely worth it though. The history of her family and the tower is as beautiful as the view in all four directions. We arrived during a particularly dreary time with lots of rain and fog and still enjoyed our stay. We took the cooking class and Majla is a very fun and entertaining host. Her husband Marco is an excellent chef and made us a wonderful meal with the pasta we created. We could easily walk down the hill to a variety of places, which was nice. We met nice people at the SMS where we had a couple Aperol spritzes. We loved that we could walk to the corner store for meat, cheese, and focaccia which we took on day trips (because we have a hard time just relaxing). We went to Livorno, Pisa, and Lucca; Florence, Montepulciano, Montalcino, and Siena another day. We went at the end of Feb/early March which made it easy to do so much, but it was also the beginning of COVID-19 in Northern Italy, so that impacted tourism as well. I recommend taking more time to visit those places, but we absolutely loved Lucca and wine country. This location made it easy to travel to other places and come home to a comfy bed and a glass of wine on the roof of the tower. They make excellent wine, which you may purchase and their friends make outstanding olive oil as well. Highly recommend and hope we can return one day!”
