Holiday rentals with a fireplace in São Miguel Island

Dino’s home is one of the top three AirBnBs that we have stayed in, and we have stayed at over 30+ AirBnBs from Peru to Portugal, Europe and the US. Moreover, he is easily the best host we have ever stayed with. He was waiting for us when we arrived and spent 30 minutes showing us where everything was and how to use it. I would strongly recommend his home to anyone looking for a beautiful home in a beautiful location.

This was probably our best Airbnb experience ever! A stunning, stylish oceanfront cottage — a true dream. We traveled with our 7-month-old baby and were amazed to find not only a crib, but also a baby bathtub and even a feeding bottle. Such a thoughtful touch! The house is beautifully decorated, cozy, and fully equipped. It felt like a peaceful retreat — we loved relaxing, watching the waves, and enjoying the privacy. The beds were super comfortable, with quality linens and towels. The home was warm and welcoming, with a lovely patio and even a telescope and binoculars to admire the ocean. There were also delicious local treats waiting for us, which made us feel even more at home. Special thanks for the late check-out — it allowed us to enjoy our final morning stress-free. We absolutely loved our stay and would return in a heartbeat!

Would recommend and stay again. Clean, cozy, and peaceful. The space is quaint and feels like a cozy cabin. Everything was super clean. The patio was lovely to have morning coffee and/or dinner surrounded by fauna and tons of lovely singing birds. (Note: we did not find many good options for eating nearby, so we opted and enjoyed to stay in and cook. The kitchen is well equipped).

The kids loved the pool, was quiet place, and lots of space. the beds were comfortable, the location was good. the view from the kitchen was fantastic.we loved that we had three showers and toilets.

The property is gorgeous and the natural ocean pool is incredible!! Perfect place to stay on the island for a relaxing vacation. We had a beautiful stay here.

What a fantastic place for our 10 day break on Sao Miguel! The location is fantastic. You may not have views of the lakes, but you're only a 3 minute walk from them and the garden you look over from the porch is stunning. Paula was always responsive and flexible, the perfect host!

This was our first little home in the island as we went to the area of sete cidades. Loved the touch of having coffee as we couldn’t shop anywhere due to being sunday! There is a restaurant literally 5 mins away so that was perfect😌

Luis was an outstanding host, super responsible, very kind, down to earth and very amicable, and the value of the place was very good, I will highly recommend this place. Fernando

Our family of 5 had a great stay at Luis’s place. It was spacious and beautiful and very well located. Luis was very helpful and flexible with check in and check out, which was very much appreciated. We loved everything about this home, one thing to note is that we did see a large bug inside the home. It would not deter me from staying here again as it is a gorgeous home, but perhaps something worth mentioning. Thank you Luís for a lovely stay!

Wonderful stay, I couldn’t expect it to be that good!

If you want to have a good time in a quiet place with a beautiful view, this is the place. In addition, the proximity of tourist attractions is a plus. You have a grocery store less than 2 minutes away, which is very convenient. The welcome was excellent. Don't hesitate.

We really enjoyed our stay, the apartment is very close to a popular surf spot, it's just 1 minute walk. The apartment is very modern and having the jakuzi on the terrace was a nice experience. The communication with Ryan was very fast, when there was a problem, he helped immediately.

Pierre’s manor may be the most beautiful place I’ve ever been. An authentic, comfortable, well-maintained 200+ year old property that has many nooks and crannies to explore. You will have a view of both the ocean and farm land—rolling hills and pastures. Bucolic and peaceful. Only about a 7 minute drive from the main road. Breakfast was simple but delicious too. Stay here!

We really enjoyed staying at Isabel’s place. It was beautifully decorated and very spacious. The kitchen was equipped with everything you need for your stay. We enjoyed sitting outside and in the cozy living room. The location was ideal for our daily road trips on this beautiful island. Isabel was very quick to respond to any question we had. We could not have asked for a better place to stay!!

We've just returned from a week at Vila Alegre and loved it! It is a real gem, and Antonio and Maggie are wonderful hosts. The place was easy to find, and it is just as lovely as in the photos. We were greeted by Antonio and Maggie who showed us around and explained how everything worked and where to find things. They had thoughtfully provided a welcome basket of local produce to get us started, and we enjoyed these goodies. They were also happy to provide information and tips on places to visit. The apartment is well equipped and furnished in a comfortable, homely style. The highlight has to be the garden room! It is so relaxing to sit there gazing out over the magnificent garden and listening to the birds. The garden is truly amazing - it is huge, and so well maintained - it is clearly Antonio's passion, and we felt very lucky to share it for a few days. We hired a car for the duration of our stay, and I would say that you do need a car when staying here. We would love to return.

Amazing host! Loved the jacuzzi, fresh eggs, and beautiful views. Claudia was so friendly and always around to answer any and all Qs- she helped us organise in-house massages and gave stellar restaurant recommendations. Would absolutely return!

The location of the accommodation is great, close to the airport and central to quickly reach all corners of the island. We arrived in the middle of the night and were still greeted in person. The highlight of the place is the view of the sea from the bedroom, but also the rest of the place is very nice and cozy.

Lotus House was sensational! We were a family group ranging in ages from 17 months old to 67 years old , and the house and property were comfortable and suitable for all ages. We were thrilled to see papayas and bananas growing in the yard. The kitchen really is well equipped- we fell in love with the espresso machine. There are comfortable mattresses on all the beds and plenty of towels and bath supplies. The heated pool, hot tub, and grounds made being at home so much fun. Even when it was 56 degrees and raining we were in the pool, and it was still comfortable. The AL Acores management team was impressively responsive. We had a very minor plumbing issue which was fixed within hours. When we arrived there were diapers in the crib, which was very thoughtful, and when one of the kids needed to see a doctor, we got excellent advice and thoughtful followup check-ins. I've stayed in a lot of airbnbs, and this is definitely one of the best.

Amaaaazing place! The house is huge, fully equipped with everything you may need and more! The views are one of a kind: mountains, ocean, green everywhere. Wake up to the sound of birds, beautiful evenings watching the sunset. Couldn’t have found a better place to stay. Communication was on point, friendly and fast. Everything exceeded our expectation. Best value for money in all Azores.

Very, very great house, not quite new and therefore some signs of old age, but nothing engrossing. Very well equiped kitchen. The owner Ana was personally on site when we arrived. She had bought a lot of fresh food and cooked a very good soup on our arrival in the evening. Ana is a wonderful host, we felt immediately welcome. She showed us all the things we needed to know in the house. Since it was relatively cool and windy in the Azores during our stay, we particularly appreciated the fireplace in the house. There was also plenty of wood. The place Mosteiros is very nice and the surf in the cliffs right in front of the house is exceptional and can be seen from the couch. A very good local restaurant with excellent fish offer is in walking distance.

Tradicampo is a beautiful place to stay with incredible hosts. I left feeling very relaxed and content. The local produce and recommendations were very generous and helpful! I would recommend this Airbnb to anyone visiting the Sao Miguel!

Vila Vista Vale was so beautiful! We felt like we had a whole resort to ourselves! The garden and pool were amazing! It was so nice to have outdoor spaces to eat or enjoy our coffee. The pool was such a fun place to relax at the end of the day. The kitchen was well stocked and the welcome basket was so thoughtful! We were able to walk to the parks and hot springs, the store and the restaurants. It was also a great location for driving to enjoy the nearby sites like the beach and the tea plantation. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it for anyone wanting an awesome home base for the island of Sao Miguel. Raul was very responsive to my messages and proactive to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible!

We felt very comfortable at Teresa's! The apartment is very spacious and it is as described. The location is really good, it is quiet and you can explore many corners of the island from there. Highly recommended!

Photos don’t do justice to this beautiful house and spacious property. It’s absolutely wonderful. Clean, comfortable. The host family lives on the property in a separate house and is so friendly. They answered all of our questions and helped us with anything we needed. The house is modern and beautiful. There’s a huge lawn and view of the ocean. This house is a gem. We loved everything about it.
