“t was just perfect. Very quiet, very private, very clean. Comfortable and convenient. The thoughtful touches made the stay very special. Thanks especially for welcoming my dog. Will definitely recommend and use again when visiting Santa Fe area.”
Very rural and exposure to CORONA Virus is MINIMAL... This country hideaway is nestled at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, 1 minute from I-25 in the village of Rowe. It sits on a 30 acre private ranch. Santa Fe is 25 minutes away. There is nearby access to many US Forest areas, the Pecos National Monument, the Village of Pecos, and the Pecos River. Our well water has been certified.
“The casita is definitely remote and quiet. Interior was comfortably furnished, light and airy. Fun to stay in an old adobe home that's been modernized. Brenda responded quickly to my requests. She lives on the property and was at the house within minutes when I asked. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Definitely a place to unwind and get away from the distractions of the world. Good internet reception if you want a little distraction.”
My place within walking distance of the city center of La Plaza Vieja ( Old Town ). It is close to safe, paved walking trails, fine dining and several restaurants. You’ll love my place because of its historic nature! The home was built circa 1869 and has been completely renovated. The master bedroom has a king size bed,the second bedroom a double and a sofa bed in the living room. Located in a community of stable residents. Off street parking with a secure back yard for motorcycles or trailers
“What a pleasant stay at Ray’s historic home as we traveled through Las Vegas. Very easy to find and conveniently located off the highway. Ray was the perfect host, communicating throughout booking and day of arrival with quick responses. A text to him as we exited the highway, and he was there to meet and greet a couple of minutes after we pulled up. Casa Valdez is located on a quiet, narrow street with many other small homes owned by generations of family up and down the street. We were able to park our larger SUV half on street and half on sidewalk right in front of the house. A smaller vehicle would fit in the small driveway. The house and property are very rustic, cozy, comfortable, basic, clean and simply furnished. I loved the rustic wood ceiling beams and wood floor in the living area. We did not use the kitchen for cooking so I can’t comment there. The beds were comfortable. There is no a/c, but there are plenty of ceiling fans as well as a portable fan that we placed in front of an open window to draw cooler outside air in. We felt completely comfortable leaving the windows open all night. Personally, I am “hot blooded” but was fine and not too warm. A rain had just passed through so it had cooled off a bit (early evening). The neighborhood is very quiet. We were so glad to be able to bring our four legged family with us. The backyard is enclosed with a very rustic fence. There is no grass, simply gravel/earth, not muddy, but with the recent rain, our two Dobermans did not utilize it much because they are indoor dogs and how dare we ask them to be outside with no grass ha! We had a pleasant walk to the old town plaza and ate at a pizza joint (JC’s NY) that Ray recommended. We were able to eat out on the patio with our dogs—it was great. We recommend staying at Ray’s casa without hesitation and will do so ourselves next time we pass through Las Vegas. Thank you Ray!!”
