Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Sasso Marconi

My wife and I stayed at Marco’s for a week for our honeymoon. We both loved it. Pool was beautiful and peaceful. The property is fantastic the pictures don’t do it justice. As amazing as it looks in the photos it is 1000 times better in person. The front gate made everything feel so secure. Walking up the steps to the guest house we were hit with a nice floral smell with all the daisies growing everywhere. Such a peaceful and beautiful property. The view was stunning looking over the mountains. The place was perfect. The kitchen was everything we needed and more, the pull out couch allowed us to relax and watch tv at the end of the night. The patios were perfect for coffees and meals. And the bed was nice and comfortable. Marco left a flower pedal heart on the bed for us which was a nice personal touch. We met his parents (who stay in the main house) they were very kind and gave us our privacy. There was lots of information about the area and things to do. Wish we stayed longer

Lucrezia is a great and accommodating host. Particularly noteworthy is the terrace and the garden of the property.

Fantastic stay !!! We were 3 people who stayed here for 5 nights. Located just 30 minutes outside Bologna up in the mountains with an unparalleled view. We each had a bedroom that was cool despite the heat outside. Luxurious with 2 bathrooms with both shower and toilet when you are several. There is everything you need and even a washing machine if you are there for a long time and need to wash. Every morning, freshly baked goodies were left outside our door, arranged by the gentleman who owns the house. Incredibly calm and peaceful, and the only thing you hear throughout the day is the chirping of the various birds. We'd love to come back here❤️

Like the other guests, we were completely satisfied and were incredibly warmly welcomed. It's a wonderful family. The accommodation had everything you need to live well and for a nice vacation. We got great tips for activities and felt totally comfortable. Francesco is a very charming, helpful host, with whom we had nice conversations. We especially liked the care for children. Our child loved the toys provided, the large garden and the cats. Very clear recommendation.

It was special treat to be welcomed by Laura when we arrived. She was a great hostess. We felt very comfortable in the spacious surroundings which included an outdoor terrace with expansive views across the Garfagnana valley. As we didn't have a car we walked into Barga which is about 20 minutes. Barga offers shops, restaurants and art galleries. I found lots of opportunities to do some painting around the old town and walks to nearby villages. We loved Barga and are keen to return.

Monia is a very kind and helpful host. The house is very large with comfortable beds, two bathrooms with a large and perfectly functioning shower.

The country cottage is beautiful and well maintained. Easy to reach by car and located in a very quiet area. Tommaso was very kind, the house was clean and tidy and there was everything you needed. Recommended!

Guests who book the house should know that it is about four kilometers from the town, up the hill. It didn't bother us because we had a car, but you have to know that.

We had a great time . Anita is a very attentive host, the accommodation is located in a beautiful green park in a quiet area with a swimming pool available, a real plus. We will definitely come back and recommend this accommodation. The king size bed is extremely cosy. Perfect location very close to the historic city of Lucca. Thank you for everything, Anita. Staying at Lorenzo and Eva’s place was an absolute highlight of our trip to Tuscany! The location was exceptional, it offered breathtaking views of the Tuscan countryside that we’ll never forget. Just a short drive away is the charming town of Vinci, where you’ll find everything you need to make the most of your stay. The wine and olive oil tasting experience is an absolute must—it added such a special touch to our visit. The property itself is beautifully maintained, with excellent amenities that made our stay comfortable and relaxing. Lorenzo and Eva were both very professional, and their communication was always prompt and helpful. We can’t wait to return to Vinci and would love to stay at their place again!

Wonderful place in a beautiful location. Several well-kept and restored accommodations with passion and expertise, immersed in greenery overlooking the valleys between Romagna and Tuscany. Perfect whether you want to relax or walk through villages and woods. Highly recommended.

We were very satisfied with our vacation home from Stefania. Great, spacious, secluded garden with many olive trees. Pergola with seating area invites you to linger. The cleanliness of the place was also extremely good. The beds or mattresses were very comfortable and the bedrooms nicely furnished. Stefania provided us with many tips and recommendations. She also booked a table for us twice at the nearby Osteria di Valgiano. Great food at a reasonable price with a great view of Lucca. Stefania responded quickly and kindly to questions. We would have liked to stay longer and will definitely come back!

Olga's villa is absolutely stunning. Our family of 9 had the most wonderful visit. We enjoyed cooking in the beautiful and well appointed kitchen, eating outside on the terrace, swimming in the pool, and relaxing outside on the terrace, enjoying the peaceful beauty and breathtaking views of Tuscany. Olga's place is truly special. Olga was very communicative, helpful and kind. We highly recommend her villa to others.

The property is breathtaking, with stunning views that make it a perfect retreat. A car is essential for getting around. Our host, Lara, embodied the warmth and generosity of Italian hospitality. Despite pouring rain on our arrival, she greeted us warmly and explained everything thoroughly. She texted us recommendations for the best local restaurants and checked in regularly—not intrusively, but with genuine care and passion for her guests’ comfort. Lara went above and beyond, preparing the BBQ for us, offering fresh fruit as a thoughtful treat, and providing delicious pastries for breakfast on our departure day. I would absolutely stay here again!

Vittorio and Rosa Maria were the perfect hosts and couldn’t do enough for us. Vittorio provided great recommendations for restaurants and places to visit including a winery and cheese making factory. Also we had a fantastic meal cooked by Rosa Maria. It is a good base to visit other cities such as Modena and Parma (and others) by road or by train. The house was spacious, well equipped and felt like more like a family home with books, comfortable sofas a lovely sitting room and bedrooms. We very much enjoyed our stay and had a great holiday. The renovated church was incredibly interesting and I was fascinated by its long history. The church is nestled within a tranquil olive grove which made it easy to relax and disconnect from the stressors of the big city. Roberto was absolutely incredible and I cannot give higher praise—he is truly the standard when it comes to hosts. He was attentive, responsive to any issues, and helpful to solve any difficulties that we had with travel arrangements. It’s easy to see why this property is in such high demand. It was my first time staying in Tuscany and Roberto’s church is already calling me back for another stay! Most highly recommended.

I had wonderful stay during my visit at Bologna. Lisa and Max are super helpful. I felt so touch when they offer their car since lot's of rain during our visit at Bologna. they are definetly super host. the apartment are much more beautiful than the pictures itself. the apartment is wonderfully cleaned, everything you need is there. Highlyrrecommended!

Such an incredible location! We had an amazing stay. Alessandra and Ludovico were brilliant hosts, so friendly and welcoming. They helped us organise e-bikes and gave us fantastic restaurant recommendations. We will be back!

My stay was excellent! Laura handled so many details and was very helpful when the airline lost my luggage. The house is decorated with tasteful art and has a nice collection of literature both fun and challenging in English and Italian. Her pets were adorable and friendly. Sasso Marconi is also a charming little area with everything you need for dinner out or at home, a picnic, or a hike.

This was the best place we stayed on our Italy trip! The region is so unique, with winding mountainous roads, lush forest, and ancient buildings. The property was very clean, with all the amenities you need to have a comfortable stay. The bed was super comfortable, the bathroom was renovated and spacious, and the view was magnificent! Lindie was a fantastic host, very responsive and gave us very useful recommendations for the local restaurant and hiking trails nearby. Highly recommend staying here if you want a unique experience in the mountains!!
