We had a great stay – the house was lovely and the hosts were incredibly welcoming. They kindly offered us a later checkout, which gave us a more relaxed morning. The location was ideal for visiting York, with the park and ride nearby making everything super convenient. Thank you for having us (and our energetic kids!) – much appreciated

We had a lovely stay at the cottage: everything was clean, comfortable and good quality. It’s in a super peaceful location, just birdsong and the occasional baa of the sheep neighbours! It’s also in a great location for exploring the area, just 30 mins from the coast and there are lots of beautiful villages on the moor. Highly recommended by us!

We thoroughly enjoyed our few days in this lovely cottage. It is very well appointed and has everything you need for a short stay. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed being able to sit outside watching the sheep graze in the field behind. An ideal location for visiting Harlow Carr and Fountains Abbey. Jane is a friendly and helpful host.

Pauline and Graham were truly awesome hosts. A warm couple who are passionate about the home and family and who were so welcoming. The kennel offers more than enough space, was pristine throughout and beautifully decorated. We loved our stay at the kennel, pity we did not travel with our dogs as we know they would also have been welcome! Graham we also loved your beautiful garden. Thank you for the tour !

Caroline’s cottage is beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable and lovely and peaceful as it is set back from the main road. Caroline kindly let us check in early which was perfect as it was the only nice day we had in the north and so were able to go out and enjoy the Moors. The surrounding area is beautiful and there are lots of extremely nice places to visit and great dining opportunities! As all the other visitors say, it is a fabulous place to stay and we would love to return if we are back in the area ! Thank you again Caroline !

Beautifully restored barn in a pretty village. The accommodation was very comfortable and the kitchen was extremely well equipped which was really useful. One of the best places we’ve ever stayed in.

We loved The Cow Shed. Just off the A1 so really convenient for our trip to Bramham. Although the A1 was very near We couldn't hear the traffic when inside the house. We had two large dogs who were able to stretch out and there was a track to walk them down safely for exercise. There was everything we needed in terms of accommodation and it had tasteful decor and was nice and clean.

Absolutely beautiful converted barn in a peaceful location with stunning views & walks on the doorstep. Barn was spotless, comfortable and tastefully decorated with everything you could need. Really appreciated the personal touches. We were welcomed with freshly baked bread and homemade cake. Lots of recommendations for places to visit and eat. We loved Castle Howard and the stunning countryside. Highly recommended and we can’t wait to come back

Property is in a beautiful location with great views down to the coast. Everything was spotlessly clean and very homely. A great base for visiting the surrounding area.

Idyllic four nights in The Shed. Nicola has the property resourced brilliantly and it was easy to feel at home with all the practical information she provided. The location is tranquil-days were spent enjoying the enclosed garden. The property is a nearby drive to a lovely village and market towns or you can venture further to Whitby or Scarborough. Thoroughly enjoyed our temporary home.

Fantastic location - far enough out for peace and quiet and far enough in to access the towns and places of interest. The accommodation was perfect with fantastic views over the Esk valley. It was both compact and spacious and very homely. The local pub is very friendly with excellent beers and food - just make sure you get there by the track otherwise you’ll need carabiners for the hill. We would definitely book again and probably for a bit longer.

The barn was absolutely beautiful. The welcome package was a lovely touch and very thoughtful. Definitely worth the price wish we booked 2 nights! Will definitely be back.

We had a great week at The Long Barn. A lovely cozy retreat in a stunning location. It Had all the amenities that we needed and was very well equipped. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay. A lovely area to be in & Seeing the train pass by at the bottom of the garden to & from Goathland felt so nostalgic. There’s a really nice walk to Goathland (aka Aidensfield for those Heartbeat fans) just to the right of the main house. Goathland tea rooms is well worth a visit as it has a lovely garden that you can sit in & enjoy. It was very pleasant as the weather was good to us. The only negative that my husband had was that the train was a diesel not the steam train! He was looking forward to seeing the steam train 😆 that just means we must come and stay again. Sarah is a very friendly & hospitable host & we thank her & her husband for making it such a lovely place to stay.

We had an absolutely amazing time at the manor farm cottage. What made our stay even more enjoyable was how prepared and informative they were in the guest guide book. We found this extremely helpful when trying to book taxis. Note to anyone planning a visit who is planning to use public transport to call malton taxis in good time instead of ‘Uber’ we were let down a few times by ‘Uber’ and it’s just that little too far out for many cars to be about. We went to malton ‘pizza on the square’ for tea one night which I would highly recommend and the ‘Rydale vineyard’ for a wine tasting experience which was fantastic and only a 7min taxi journey away. Perfect location great cottage and the amount of supplies that were provided too was another lovely touch. We diddnt have to worry about bringing tin foil and cling film, dishwasher tablets etc just small items which made the stay that extra bit more enjoyable. We managed t figure out how the appliances worked easily nd enjoyed a meal in aswel

A lovely, peaceful, secluded cottage. We really enjoyed our stay, we wanted a quiet get away and that is exactly what we got. We enjoyed visiting Brimham rocks and had a walk around Ripon, plenty of places to visit that were only a short drive away. Could not recommend this place enough.

We had a wonderful stay here with our family. Beautiful property in a lovely, quiet location with stunning views. The house is very spacious, well equipped & ideal for our party of 10. We enjoyed a walk in the grounds of Castle Howard (just a short drive away), exploring the local villages & rounded our trip off with Sunday lunch at the pub in Welburn; recommended by our hosts Ben & Victoria. We would highly recommend this property & would definitely return.

The cottage was lovely; lots of lovely touches and decor. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need, with tea bags, coffee, hot chocolate etc provided. The beds were super comfy. We were a little nervous of the parking situation, but it was absolutely fine - the square is very open with quite a few cars parked overnight, so we didn’t feel at all concerned about leaving the car. It was a little noisy with lorry traffic in the night and early hours, so worth taking ear plugs if you are sensitive to noise. Overall we had a lovely stay. We were lucky enough to have dinner at Where There’s Smoke, and we really recommend it for a special meal.

We had an amazing stay at Swallows Rest! Lisa was a fantastic host—welcoming, responsive, and thoughtful. The home was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and in a great location. Every detail was carefully considered, making our stay even more enjoyable. I truly appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and the little touches that made it feel like home. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Swallows Rest to anyone looking for a wonderful Airbnb experience!

Gorgeous! We loved our stay, fresh and clean. The milk in the fridge and biscuits was so welcoming after a long drive! Such a romantic find, private enclosed garden, beach not far away and located in a pleasant quiet village. Fresh clean appliances, all squeaky clean I have to say! Bathroom squeaky clean. Ample parking just outside. So lovely to stay in a detached but roomy cottage! 5/10 mins from Filey was useful, although there’s no local corner shop in Muston, a Tesco superstore was only a short drive away in Filey. We never felt overlooked even though next to other cottages and didn’t hear anyone else during our stay. Lots of lovely seating outside to catch the evening and morning rays. A beautiful find and would definitely recommend to couples ❤️

Had a lovely night in this beatifull and peacefull location. Local places such as pubs/restaurants are not walkable but only a short drive gives lots of choice. We went to the spotted ox in tockwith throughly enjoyable Would definitely stay again :)

Lovely accommodation and great host. We very much appreciated the spacious house plus the animals on the farm and local wildlife. Caroline was was very welcoming and offered useful suggestions for things to do and ways to get about.
