Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Sernhac

Due to personal circumstances we had to rearrange this holiday 2 times, of which Remy was very understanding. We booked the villa based on how well the photos looked but were really not ready for just how much better the place was in reality! Le Magnanerie is tucked quietly away in a totally idyllic spot in a gorgeous old French hamlet, boasting the most impressive westerly views across the private pool of the Cévennes, with stunning sunsets. The covered outside area is spacious and perfect to escape the direct summer sun, and the thick stone building is naturally cool. Comfortably set over 3 pretty floors with portable air conditioning in the loft bedroom area. Kids bunk beds are perfectly placed and even though everything is wooden, nothing creaks. Local agent Deborah was very helpful and after driving from the UK, we were pleasantly surprised to have had our best family holiday to date here! We rarely return to holiday destinations, however we will certainly be coming back. Merci

The location was 15 minutes drive from Arles town centre. The Loft was clean on arrival and the host provided all necessary utensils, linen, towels and a "starter kit" (eg. toilet paper, soap, shampoo, BBQ charcoal and lighter, etc). Access to the Loft was timely and by security Key Code, making it flexible to enter on late arrival. Pool and gardens were well maintained. Baby cot and high-chair were supplied. Florence, our concierge, was very helpful and proactive in answering all our questions in advance. Instructions for arrival and departure were clear and timely.

The place was really what we expected. Matches the description. The jacuzzi is super well arranged. This accommodation must really be a gem at the end of the season with its wood insert on the terrace next to the jacuzzi... Eric is a very accommodating and friendly Host, the accommodation is functional with a binder that explains everything you need to know, and the good addresses.

Cosy home in a charming village close to uzes and lovely swimming spots. Helpful and welcoming hosts.

Beatrice & Antoine are super friendly and charming hosts. The accommodation is in a perfect location and offers a wonderful view of Mont Ventoux and the beauty of Provence. We will be happy to come back! :-)

Fantastic stay in the heart of St Remy! The apartment is gorgeous and has everything for a perfect holiday - walkable location in the village center, wonderfully artistic and comfortable decor, calm and peaceful atmosphere, fully equipped large kitchen, spacious bedrooms and a lovely rooftop terrace. Jean-Luc and Perrine are the most friendly, charming and gracious hosts. They provided excellent support and we really appreciated their restaurant recommendations and getting to know them...and their gallery downstairs is beautiful. Merveilleux!

This is a luxury property. It is beautifully landscaped and the pool was large and inviting. In fact we mixed our plans one day to chill outside. The kitchen has what is needed to prepare meals. The bedrooms are well appointed and the bathrooms are more accommodating than a hotel room. The surrounding town is lovely. Quieter than others in Provence. We would definitely return and recommend. Andre was the consummate host.

Served as a lovely base for our family to explore Provence. Was quiet at night and very peaceful. Home is well appointed, though we only used the beds and bathroom. Had everything you’d need to make meals, etc.

excellent stay, incredible accommodation in terms of comfort and taste, only downside the noise of the jacuzzi engine but good it does not prevent you from enjoying it fully, I highly recommend

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect, in the beautiful main village square, right in the centre of Uzès. It was peaceful, comfortable and the apartment was bright and cozy. It had a little outdoor balcony which was a nice bonus. We were thrilled to have had the opportunity of staying in this delightful place and the hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. Beautiful, spacious and meticulously clean apartment - even better than the photos. Centrally located on an elegant shopping street in Avignon, and within close walking distance of tourist spots and restaurants. The host was incredibly helpful, both before and during our stay. He met us at the carpark, walked us to the apartment and even helped bringing our luggage upstairs. We were provided with lots of local recommendations of what to do and where to eat as well as very clear operating instructions for all the appliances. Highly recommend!

Second stay at Sébastien's, we are still delighted. Perfect for a baby or child, with the green space, animals. For us who live in the city center, the calm did us good, the change of scenery, the barbecue on the terrace too. In short, never two without three 😊

Right in the heart of the city center, the apartment is sublime ❤️ and the host is very responsive. A very nice renovation.

Amaury’s place was stunning and in a great location. The beds were comfortable, the apartment was spacious and clean and it was easy to find and walk from the station. Amaury was responsive and helpful throughout. Would recommend.

Charming cozy cottage tastefully furnished, very well equipped, impeccable cleanliness, comfortable bedding. Perfect set-up for couple. The hosts are warm, the hospitality and responsiveness are impeccable and good recommendations. Very well located, it is both easy to reach Bagnols for shops while being surrounded by nature with lots of possible hikes nearby and beautiful sites to visit. Big plus for the stove with the wood provided, the flames are comforting in the cold season. We had a great time between beautiful hikes and rest by the fire.

We spent three nights with our small children, it’s been fantastic. Magali and Joseph are very friendly and welcoming, the house is a paradise…We felt home!! The position is also good, close to Avignon, the Camargues and Provence, ideal location. We will surely come back! Thank you Magali and Joseph

My family and I had a wonderful stay in St Maximin. The property is even better than the photos portray and is perfect for families of all sizes. We had an extended stay for the month of May and it was very comfortable for the whole month, both in the colder earlier days and the more summer like end of the month. There is also lots to do in the local area, Uzes is a great town with lots of restaurants and a Saturday market which we enjoyed visiting. St Maximin also has two fantastic restaurants and lots of great walks in the surrounding countryside. There are towns to visit like Arles, Nimes or Avignon which are slightly further but well worth a visit. We would very much like to return to the house in the future and would recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting St Maximin and Uzes.

Pierre’s home was paradise! He met us there for check in and check out. The home was well stocked, from the kitchen to the music collection (both of which we thoroughly enjoyed). The views and sunsets were incredible from the home. We loved opening the windows and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of throughout the day, we even chose to enjoy two dinners at the home. The bed was comfortable and the home was easy to keep at an ideal temperature. We explored the area very easily from the convenient location. Thank you for sharing your home, Pierre, we hope to return one day!

The atmosphere there is really great. It is very quiet and feels like it is in the middle of nature. Nevertheless, the great bakery, a small supermarket and a nice restaurant are within a five-minute walk. The vintage style of the furnishings and the garden with two terraces and a pool make the stay perfect. The pool is even bigger than it looks in the pictures. Lézan is very rural but well suited as a starting point for excursions. Fabrice's tips and hints were very helpful. We felt very comfortable there and there is everything you need for a vacation. Be sure to visit the organic winemaker next door and buy wine!

Fab place, great social spaces for our group. The location was gorgeous. Lisa was very accommodating and let us check in two hours early and communicated well throughout. We all enjoyed our stay at the house and thought it was very reasonably priced. The parking area is very tight behind the gate if you’re driving a large people carrier, so takes a little while to park, but still serves its function well. A neighbour dealt with us during our stay - only speaks French - so good to keep this in mind if you don’t have a member / speak French yourself. Luckily one of our party spoke French, so it was fine. The neighbour wasn’t very warm but definitely didn’t take away from a beautiful place in a gorgeous village and a great stay. It was clean, the pool and games were fab, and the BBQ was brilliant. Definitely recommend the local cafe / pub for drinks in the evening too, it’s gorgeous!

It was just perfect!!! Everything is beautiful and stylish in this farmhouse! And special mention to beds that are particularly comfortable! And also (go crazy) mention at the pool at the perfect temperature!!!!

Mas du Gres is a beautiful property with so much charm! The house was very clean, well equipped with comfy beds, spacious rooms and living areas in a peaceful setting. The large lounge room upstairs was really comfy with lots of natural light and the arrangement of bedrooms / bathrooms was great for our group of 4 adults. The hosts were lovely and accommodating and met us on arrival to give us a house tour and hand over the keys. They provided a very detailed, very helpful house book with recommendations for absolutely everything! The pool was perfect for cooling off and we enjoyed using the outdoor cooking facilities on warmer days. We found the location to be well located for visiting other surrounding towns and villages. St Etienne du Gres had quite a lot to offer for such a small village, a pub/Cafe, wine shop, general store, butcher, epicerie, restaurant, ATM, bakery and much more, with a larger supermarket < 10mins away by car. Highly recommend this property!
