Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Shaftesbury

A very beautiful and comfortable place to stay. Immaculate and full of beautiful furniture and books. Beds were very comfortable We found parking just outside. Bruton is a lovely town to walk around.

The Snug is the perfect term to describe it. It was perfect! Peaceful, quiet and completely private, with everything you could need. An absolute gem on the river. We also got a bonus of some lovely free flowers and to explore another property garden, as no guests were staying. I cannot reccomended enough for a nice quiet escape or peaceful romantic getaway. We will definitely return. 11/10

Lesley was a fantastic host! she was caring, proactive and very responsive. Always checking in with us to check if we were ok and responding to our questions! The place was wonderful! Great location, everything was immaculate! We would 100% stay again when in the area without a doubt!

We had a lovely stay at Victoria’s! The house was spotless and had everything we needed including baby things (travel cot, high chair and stair gate). The garden was completely enclosed which meant we were able to let the dogs off their leads while we sat outside. And wow the garden is a real sun trap! I would recommend the Barford Inn (4 min) walk for good pub grub and a nice outdoor area. We also spent the afternoon in the grounds of Wilton House which has a fantastic playground for toddlers and kids and a lovely cafe. Three nights wasn’t long enough so we’re hoping to come back in the near future!

it ist the most coziest, magical little cottage with a private wee terrace. Everything was really clean and Charles was very welcoming and friendly. The kitchen has everything you need and there is a shop 3 min from the cottage. We would like to visit again!

This was a fantastic place to stay for adventures round the surrounding areas, everything in the accommodation is well thought out and beautifully presented! a very comfortable home from home, we highly recommend.

Many thanks to Alex and Rob for a lovely stay. Beautiful apartment, airy and spacious, and well equipped with everything we needed. My family from South America were staying in the UK, and had a fantastic time based there and exploring Dorset. Even my discerning pooches enjoyed their stay, and were not fazed by Alex's dogs. There was plenty of room for my three to make themselves very comfortable! Would definitely stay again!

We stayed at the accommodation for a cheerleading competition at the Bournemouth International Centre. Both days it took 15 mins maximum to get the the centre, very strsight forward. We also walked to Poole Shooping Centre to explore which was a 10 min walk straight down the main road. Host Phil answered any questions we had extremely quickly. It was a pleasure to stay at the flat, spacious enough for a family of 4, comfortable sofa bed and spacious room. We will be returning it even got the thumbs up from 2 fussy cheerleaders who need a good mirror and Lightening 😂

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was spotlessly clean upon arrival, bright and comfortable. Quiet at night. Nice views from the living area over the harbor and looking over the town from the large bedroom. As Suzanne had noted in the listing, there is no assigned parking space which could be an issue. We had to pay to park the day of arrival. It’s free after 6pm until 8am. One item we’d suggest adding would be a clothes hanger for drying as the machine didn’t seem to actually dry anything. We’d highly recommend Seagulls restaurant (book in advance). Unassuming place but food was excellent. We also liked Platform for a Sunday roast and Rise for breakfast. The George was decent. If we’re back in West Bay, we’d definitely stay again.

Amazing location in Clifton, in the heart of Clifton. village. The flat was so quiet and peaceful at night, it was perfect!

The great thing about Airbnb is the unique places you end up at. Beth’s was delightful. You know you are in someone’s home straight away. Full of character and charm. Everything catered for; milk, bread and eggs were really appreciated. Lovely property in every respect.

Katrina was a friendly and helpful host. The accommodation was comfortable and nicely appointed. The outside seating was very private in a peaceful, lovely garden. Great to have off street parking.

Each summer a U.K. FAMILY holiday is planned for three generations ..ages 5 up to well quite a lot! The choice this year was to go to Simons place.and what a find for everyone. A characterful house. Inside spacious spotless , kitchen brilliant ,, bedrooms roomy , bathroom ( particularly first floor) fabulous, living room so homely with Simons personal collection of books, his piano, homeliness beyond, and with cable Tv Incorporating Sports channels , and Netflix and Prime Video . Outside the decking in the rear garden a wonderful morning sun trap , the front garden full of charm with BBQ facilities and two squirrels nicknamed Bill and Bob..there every morning … The location very peaceful , parking at front and rear of property . Local shops , and the beach within easy 5-10 minutes walk and buses same time away into Bournemouth Poole and Christchurch . A wonderful seven days

I truly believe David’s home “calls you” when your soul needs peace as well as David’s intuitive advice. I have never stayed at a place where the host is nearby (never mind in the same property) and yet, at David’s house I felt extremely comfortable and safe from the start. The house, amazingly located at the feet of Tor’s grounds, is beautiful inside out. It has everything I needed for a pleasant stay, such as, comfortable beds and linen, as well as, a large family kitchen to cook. Yet, its energy, specially in the living room, and garden grounded and soothed my soul. David, the host, gave us the space and privacy needed when one’s on a break. However, he also was a wonderful listening ear and amazing source of advice. Overall, it was a truly amazing stay and I cannot wait to return soon again.

All in all a great & absolutely magical place. We had a lovely Bank Holiday weekend in August and celebrated our 14th Wedding Anniversary. The whole place and service was first class! Kitty was so nice, so helpful and extremely kind person. The garden, lake and view out of our villa was so beautiful and magical, you felt like you are in heaven. We captured a lot of incredible beautiful photos. The bed was really comfy and the rooms spacious, beautiful, stylish and clean. We can honestly say we had absolutely the best time & 2 night’s sleep. Karmacations-Luxe Detached Villa,Lake Spa+Gardens this amazing place made for a truly memorable and magical experience for us!! Lovely family home in the heart of the new forest. Was perfect for a pre Christmas getaway with lovely fireplace and warm Arga in the kitchen. Ian and team were very accommodating and it was lovely to have our two cocker spaniels with us to enjoy long daily walks in the forest. Will definitely be back again

Just spent a lovely week at Jan's in a party of 13. Beautiful house and gardens in a very peaceful location. Garden was huge and had wonderful views of the lake. House was equipped with everything you need, even down to shampoo and extra bath sheets for the jacuzzi! Will definately be visiting again. Thank you Jan.

Enjoyed a memorable stay in Goretti’s peaceful and spacious home. The house is fully equipped and was extremely clean. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful garden and conservatory. Communication was seamless. Would definitely recommend this beautiful home. It was lovely to be greeted by the host with a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge.
