Beachfront holiday rentals in Shaldon

Great position of Airbnb overlooking the water. Lots to see whilst relaxing on the balcony. Binoculars were a great extra! Apartment itself was very nice , fully fitted out kitchen, lovely bathroom, comfy lounge area. Made for a relaxing break. Exmouth was excellent . Beautiful beaches, promenade and gardens. Town centre was nice to wander around too - with lots of places to eat/drink. We really enjoyed our short break in Exmouth and will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful stay here in Shaldon. The house was spotless and had everything we needed. It was a great location within walking distance of the village, beach and ferry to Teignmouth. The village itself is beautiful and we loved discovering Ness Cove beach and crabbing in Teignmouth. The beds were super comfy and Carlisle was really understanding and flexible with dates following my daughter's hospital stay which caused a lot of stress before we came. We will definitely recommend and visit again as a great base for a lovely break in the area.

Cute sea side themed cottage with views of the Ley and all the birds to the front and the prom and beach 20 feet from the back gate. Stunning coast line, great walks, good food nearby and only 20 minutes from Kingsbridge and 30.from Salcombe. Basic holiday kitchen, cosy comfy front room, large main bedroom and adequate 2nd with partial view of the sea. Parking permit for right opposite very convenient for us and the dogs. We had a super week, thanks Eva and Richard.

Fantastic location and property, photos do not really do it justice. Would defintely return and recommend to all. Access is on very narrow lanes but being on the coastal path and having such a fabulous beach on the doorstep meant our cars could stay parked for most of the stay. Listing states BBQ is gas - it's charcoal, helpful to know if planning a food delivery

We had a wonderful week staying at The Courtyard, beautifully furnished and extremely well equipped. Very comfortable upstairs lounge with two balconies to make the most of the views. Plus a lovely courtyard filled with gorgeous greenery making it feel very tropical (and lots inside too). The bed is probably the most comfortable we have slept in! Stoke Fleming is a lovely village with access to the SW coastal path in both directions – the walk to Dartmouth is a must (and get the bus back!) Lots of places to visit in the surrounding area too. Jill’s communication is excellent and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending the Courtyard 😊we most certainly hope to return!

Lovely cottage, immaculate with the most comfortable beds of any stay I've had. Great location, shops just around the corner, little beach a short walk away great for dogs and kids. Pubs are lovely as are local restaurants. The local bakers and butchers also very nice. Grant was so helpful, highly recommend

Another lovely stay at Palmdene. This place really is home from home and so comfortable. Love being able to stare out to see from both the kitchen and the living room. Everything we need is there. Great place for going onto Paignton beach (approx 10 mins) or go over the top and head to Goodrington beach, it will take a bit longer but the views are stunning. Booking again very soon.

The lodge was very clean and had everything we needed. The location is great for exploring the whole area. Helen was flexible with arrival and check in which made the holiday less stressful with small kids! Brixham is a lovely town to stay. The site would benefit from the new clubhouse pool & bar which was opening imminently, which we missed.

Nicki’s apartment at Bigbury on Sea is just great. Well equipped, amazing views and in a beautiful part of Devon. Use of the indoor pool is amazing for kids, especially when the weather is a bit mixed! Nicki gave lots of info and recommendations which were super helpful. I hope to be back at Bigbury soon!

Emily has a lovely caravan in a quiet spot on an otherwise busy site. The caravan felt surprisingly spacious and it was great to have that second toilet available. It was also lovely and very convenient to have the shower. The site offers a lot for families with several play areas, crazy golf and swimming pools.

My family and I had a wonderful time. We even extended our stay by 2 nights as we didnt want to leave. The apartment was really lovely, had everything we needed with a well equipped kitchen. My boys loved the tennis court and swimming pool. The views from the apartment were stunning overlooking the sea. we started each day with a morning (very cold) swim in the sea followed by a lovely coffee/hot chocolate from the cafe on the beach. I would highly recommend Des's apartment. We will definitely be returning

Wonderful - with a beautiful sea view that made it very special. Modern, clean and nicely decorated/equipped. We stayed as four women friends and it was perfect. The only thing I would say is that if you don’t know each other well or are physically large, the space is relatively small with only the one bathroom - which is clear from the listing - but worth bearing in mind.

Had a lovely weekend stay in the caravan, just as described and in a beautiful location. Host was excellent in communicating instructions for check in. will be rebooking in the future!

We have just returned from our stay and it was the perfect choice for a family. Lots to do at the park when some down time was needed and great coastal location. The accommodation was great - outdoor space, lovely lounge area and little touches like high chair and bed rail for our toddler included. Anja has thought of everything you could need and was very quick to help when we needed support on arrival (my issue not a lack of communication from the host). All in all a great choice for our half term getaway and we will certainly book again.

We loved it, back to nature but very comfortable, had everything we needed and more. Loved the closeness to the sea. We walked all around the location, didn’t move our car for 4 days! We want to go back, that probably says it all. Thank you Beth

We had the most amazing week with our 4 boys at The Old Guard in May. We have been renting various properties in Hope Cove for many years. Wendy's property is now our absolute favourite!! Not only did we have fabulous weather but the location is just perfect for getting out on the kayaks etc The warm outdoor shower is brilliant for when you get back! The balcony is very large and a great space! The views from the balcony are spectacular and the sunsets incredible. The kitchen had everything you need. They utility area with washer and dryer is very useful staying with a family. The property was really well designed & clean and comfortable to stay in. Wendy had said the parking would be tight, but we got our 2 vehicles in no problem just a bit of time to go back and forth and one is a long wheelbase Mercedes Vito! We would definitely recommend staying here and would love to come back again! Thank you Wendy for all your messages and prompt replies when we had any questions.

We absolutely loved our stay. The property is spacious, beautiful and the views are absolutely breath taking. Couldn’t fault anything, facilities and amenities were perfect for us. Close to lots of local family days out and right on the beach front. Bubble bath overlooking the sea! What more could you want. We would definitely return.

Absolutely blown away to be honest. The owl houses are stunning. From the overall feel to the small details they have nailed it. Just back from a fantastic three nights at Paul’s place. The location of the house is fabulous, just 1-2 minutes walk from the beach. It felt very homely and comfortably sleeps 8 Breakfast on the balcony overlooking the sea and beach was sublime. Drinks up in the bar on the top decking at the back of the house in the evening with stunning views was real bonus. There are plenty of games to keep you occupied and we didn’t turn the TV on, not once. A nice spacious kitchen and a dinning room table that sits 8. We walked over to Burgh Island for a lovely meal at The Pilchard. Had a dip in the sea. Played golf at the very friendly and welcoming Bigbury and Thurlestone golf clubs and rounded it all off with a final meal at The Oyster Shack, only 10 minutes drive away. This was the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. We use Airbnb for our trips all the time but we have never experienced such a beautiful stay. From the scenic views to quick access to the beach, the stay at this Airbnb exceeded our expectations. We really didn’t want to go home, and we will definitely come back. The Airbnb was very spacious with all the amenities you may need. The location was close to other areas and there is a coastal path on the doorstep! Definitely visit the Rio cafe that is on the beachfront and only a short walk from the Airbnb. The place was also very clean. We will be definitely coming back!

Great Spacious town house - exactly as the photos show. Extremely well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. Sue was very friendly and had great communication. Thank you for a great place to relax in after our long days walking on the coastal path
