This place was great. Wonderful views. Private and quiet. Non-stop hummingbirds visiting the feeder on the deck.

*100/10* This was our second time staying at The Glass Treehouse and it was just as fantastic the second time around as the first! It's so comfortable and cozy, luxurious amenities, secluded and romantic. You can tell that Ashley and Andy really put a lot of thought and care into the design and amenities for the guests. I highly recommend it to any couple looking to get away for some quality time together. We will definitely be back!

Thank you so much, Kim, for this wonderful experience. We’re on a road trip through the U.S. and took a three-day break at the little cabin. It was the perfect place to relax! We absolutely loved the nature. We swam in the river, saw lots of wildlife, and sat by the fireplace. It was a very comfortable and cozy stay. If it weren’t so far away, we’d definitely come back!

Lauren’s place was amazing! We enjoyed sitting by the fire at night and the kids loved the hot tub and ping pong table. Everything was clean and lots of chairs for the entire family. It is tucked back into the woods so it was quiet and peaceful. We also enjoyed watching several deer walk past a few times. I’m highly recommend Lauren’s cabin.

The A-frame with a huge patio is completely surrounds by trees is the prefect mountain get away but also very close to town. Very stylish and picturesque.

Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay! Richard is an excellent host who obviously wants his guests to have the best stay possible. Our personal favorites were the outdoor areas. The surrounding are so beautiful and peacful, and Richard's home provides a gazebo, porch with sofa, fire pit, and deck dining which we loved. If you want a cozy cabin in the mountains, Richard's place is for you!

Virgil's place made for a fantastic getaway for our family. While we had mainly intended to hike at Grayson Highlands (we did, and it was wonderful as always), our toddler's favorite part of the trip was hands-down the creek on the property. If you're coming with little ones, bring water shoes and swimsuits for them (and good waterproof hiking boots for yourself so you can help them navigate the rocky creek bed -- there are a few spots with finer gravel where it's easy to sit and throw rocks in the water, but you have to get to them, which was half the fun). The breeze through the windows and the shaded porch helped more than we expected with the heat, so the lack of air conditioning wasn't a problem for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Walter gave us an amazing place to stay for our anniversary weekend. Very secluded and private, which is something we were looking for. We felt right at home when we walked in and wish we could take this cabin back home. Everything was very tidy, well organized and we didn’t have to go looking for anything. We didn’t get to use the fire pit because it rained a majority of the weekend, which we were bummed about, but that didn’t stop us from sitting outside and listening to the sound of the river, rain and frogs. Very peaceful! Being so close to the river it made it very easy and quick to run down and throw a few casts in the river. Thank you Walter for the very comfortable stay. This place is on our list of places to hopefully return to!

Had an amazing stay at this place! The views were stunning, the air was fresh, and the place was spotless. Loved the peaceful surroundings — perfect for a relaxing getaway. Host was friendly and responsive. Would definitely come back!

Marilyn’s space was perfect for a weekend getaway. Compatible kitchen (note there is no full sized oven but this wasn’t an issue), comfortable furniture, and absolutely stunning surroundings. We spent nearly all day outside hiking, wandering the property, or simply sitting in the yard/eating in the gazebo. Would one thousand percent stay here again and would recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful stay! Marilyn was also available for any needs we had and was respectful of privacy at the same time. Couldn’t be happier!

Such a cute and cozy cabin perched on the side of a mountain! We visited during a rainy spell and spent a lot of time indoors, listening to the rain on the roof and enjoying the super comfy reclining sofa. We had one dry evening to spend down by the fire pit; we brought our own firewood but there were a few partial stacks left behind by previous guests as well. (The bucket to drown the fire was rusted out, so you might need to carry a big plastic bowl down from the kitchen for that.) The rain had also partially washed out the steeper sections of Longhope Rd between 194 and the cabin, so it was challenging (but doable) in our 2WD car. I'd recommend driving in from the Meat Camp Rd direction instead. The cabin was very clean, stocked with plenty of towels, and it was nice having a washer/dryer available. We did go out after the first night and buy ourselves some new pillows because the cabin ones were pretty flat! Overall a beautiful and peaceful spot and I definitely recommend it.

We loved it here. Our favorite is the back deck and the view. The kids loved the play room also. It is a great location to go swimming at the lake.

It was a really really wonderful place to get away from everything and just be. I used this time to write music and the acoustics in the church were just incredible. The sounds of the waterfall are so relaxing and the porch is the perfect place to enjoy your meals. Can’t wait to be back and can’t recommend enough!!!

Jerre and Madeline were extremely kind. The space was clean, and they had a folder of places to visit in the area and a lot of other helpful information. They helped us check in and showed us around a bit. We would visit again and highly recommend for others!

My husband and I stayed for a weekend with our Blue Heeler Juniper. Sheree's place was everything we were looking for. The view was amazing and it was so peaceful and quiet. Our very energetic dog had plenty of room to run and play. The cabin was clean, well stocked, and very comfortable for all of us. Sheree was very responsive to questions and provided good information for our stay. The hiking in the Grayson Highlands was amazing!! This place truly is a "hidden gem" and we would definitely stay here again. Thank you Sheree for a great stay!

Beautiful home set in a very peaceful environment! The river was beautiful. 5 stars for the home and responsive host. Other guests need to be aware that the access road to get to house is extremely poor and driveway in very steep. I wish I would have known before booking. I do realize they had storm damage but may make future guests aware of access road and driveway.

Brandon was wonderful to work with and extremely responsive. The cabin was rustic with up-to-date amenities. Beautiful property and such a calm peaceful place to get away and relax.

This is a very well maintained and beautifully decorated cabin. I loved being surrounded by trees and being close to nearby hikes and outdoor adventures. The only thing I would change would be the proximity to the road. The cabin does sit just off a well travelled road, which was a bit disappointing as we didn’t get the serenity of being in the middle of the woods. But everything else about the place was amazing.

The cabin was just as described! Perfect location to visit downtown West Jefferson and surrounding area. The cabin was spotless, cozy and a place to relax. We will definitely be back and recommend this cabin to other couples wanting a quiet get away! Frank and Jeannine were helpful with a tv issue we were having. They helped us solve this right away! Couldn't ask for a better experience!

My doggies and I enjoyed our stay! The cabin is cozy and comfortable and the atmosphere peaceful and relaxed. I loved hearing the creek across the road. I was a wee bit concerned about no AC but it turned out great. The cross draft from the windows was more than adequate and there were fans to use if I’d needed more. Would definitely stay again given the opportunity.
