Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Shipshewana

Cute little spot! The trains nearby were not much of a problem, but could be a bit loud at times. I kind of enjoyed the sound! We ran a fan at night and masked the noise well and the home seemed well-insulated from the noise. Fantastic decor! Perfect for our needs for an overnight stay, and great to have so much parking space for our small U-Haul trailer.

The Cottage is beautiful, spacious, super peaceful and helped us relax after our long trip from WV! Loved road biking the country roads and having such a peaceful place to stay with friendly horses near :) would love to stay again if I need a place in the area in the future!

Our stay at Linda’s was great. Very peaceful atmosphere and we enjoyed sitting outside around the fire pit. Our family met here to attend a wedding and it was perfect for us.

This place was so peaceful and relaxing, surrounded by nature…it was the perfect spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of our normal lives! We enjoyed every minute of it! Cindy was great! We will definitely go back!!!

We had a very comfortable stay! The home appeared to have been recently renovated. It was very clean and Teresa had thought of every little detail. We would definitely stay there again if we are in the area.

We had such a great time glamping in Cabin 309! The cabin was absolutely beautiful—cozy, well-designed, and surrounded by nature. Everything was spotless and well-maintained, which made the experience even more relaxing. It was the perfect mix of comfort and adventure. We had so much fun and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and memorable getaway!

It’s a cabin ! But it’s perfect if you’re in the area for softball tournaments. A few wild cats walking around that were definitely not afraid to say hello. But no complaints.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Bunkhouse! The peaceful surroundings were just what we needed. The bunkhouse was cozy, charming, clean and comfortable. While we didn't bring our dogs, there were thoughtful considerations in place for them. We found ourselves talking about our fantastic stay on our drive home. We will definitely be back!

My kids and I enjoyed the extremely walkable area. Bathroom and playground was much closer than it originally seemed on the map. Being a cabin, there were plenty of beautiful critters around. Most notedably, there were blue jays, cardinals, and chipmunks. Unfortunately, we had to wipe down fresh spiderwebs inside the bunk before making our beds. The convenience store in the office had affordable firewood for our s'mores and the playground was lots of fun with a pirate ship. The campground is conveniently located near plenty of stores and restaurants but you still feel like you're in the woods. When we first drove in there were tons of RVs but the grounds were not overloaded with people. Showers were always available with hot water and great water pressure. Will book again if traveling to the area!

Eric and Tammy were some of the nicest hosts I’ve ever dealt with. Their home was nothing short of amazing. I stay in Airbnb’s every week and this is hands down the best I’ve ever experienced. If you book this home you will not be disappointed!

Emily and Kenton did a super job hosting our 5 siblings and their spouses for a beautiful weekend. They were extremely welcoming and very warm in their interactions with us, but also good in giving us privacy and space to ourselves. Their home felt like our home. It was a beautiful location and convenient to all the surrounding activities. Emily shared with us the history of the home and surrounding area, as well as, how she and Kenton felt lead to make the purchase of the home. God has blessed them in the wonderful ministry they now share with others to the glory of His Name. Thank you, Emily and Kenton for sharing with us your blessings from God. Such a lovely place! Well maintained trails to explore. The instructions to get in and out were super clear + easy to follow. Although they live right next door, we truly felt like we had the place to ourselves. Everything you could need was provided. Close to town, but feels like a country getaway! Hope to return again and again while visiting family in the area.

This is my 3rd time staying and will continue to return when in the area. Great location and host responds very quickly.

We came into town for a wedding and brought our 2 dogs and wanted to stay someplace safe and quiet and we definitely found that with Edgar’s home. The location was easy to find and it was nice to have private parking right along the lake. The access to the home was easy and the home nicely is decorated with every amenity you need to cook your own food. Views from the home are lovely and we went out onto the dock and spent time on the private beach a couple of the nights we were there. The beds were extremely comfortable and there were plenty of towels, which I appreciated. Location makes it easy to get into town for grocery shopping and there is a brewery in town that makes great smash burgers called Useless Creatures. We walked around the neighborhood a couple of times and we also found a great hiking spot to take the dogs very nearby. Overall, a very comfortable stay in a beautiful location.

Had a great time! House was fantastic, and very clean. Host was very communicative, flexible, and easy to work with. Highly recommend, would definitely book again.

We recently stayed at 'The Boathouse' and it was great! The house is in a lovely, quiet spot near Johnson's Bay on a wide, clean channel. The home itself is comfortable and clean with a creative nautical theme throughout. We also loved getting out on the lake with the pontoon boat. Chad is a very responsive, friendly and helpful host. We truly enjoyed our stay at Lake Wawasee!

This was our third consecutive year returning to Peach Beach, and once again, it did not disappoint. The home was as charming and relaxing as ever, and Stacy remained the exceptional host we’ve come to appreciate—thoughtful, responsive, and always welcoming. Already looking forward to next year!
