Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Somerset

Having grown up in the area, Kennel Farm is the place we choose to come back for our family holiday every year. We love the house and surroundings. Excellent location and Tanya is a perfect host. Highly recommend.

What a gorgeous and characterful place! It remained true to its 15 century history but with plenty of modern touches. Everything we needed was there and the beds were very comfortable. The location was excellent and in walking distance to the cathedral and the town centre. We would absolutely stay again and recommend it to others.

We chose this venue as it was recommended by Upton Barnes’s wedding venue where my son and his fiance were getting married. We were able to accommodate all of my side of the family for the wedding and the newly married couple joined us on Sunday to entertain members of the wedding party With a cooked breakfast followed by a barbecue lunch. There was plenty of space seating and parking for the approximately 25 people who visited us over the day.. Tracey was very helpful host and the house was equipped extremely well a three-year-old grandson had an enormous range of toys to entertain him. I cannot recommend this property more highly

Our stay at Hare Lodge was absolutely faultless. The lodge was beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, had everything you could possibly need. The linen and towels were gorgeous. Like I said totally faultless. Without doubt the best Airbnb we have stayed in. She was hugely welcoming couldn’t have been more helpful with restaurant suggestions. She even gave my son some birthday chocolates. I would definitely recommend staying with her in either property and I would absolutely stay there again if she’d have us. Big big thank yous .

Really lovely and beautiful done place. Full or interesting things felt very much at home. The garden was so beautifully landscaped was a joy in and out. Very peaceful and we had some gorgeous sunsets!! Will definitely come again as soon as we can.

Harriet and her husband were exceptional hosts. Friendly and approachable, such lovely people. The accommodation was absolutely stunning and the surroundings so calm and peaceful. We were made to feel right at home. The quality of everything was absolute top end and we were so comfortable. The fresh bread and milk was a lovely touch on arrival. Nothing seemed too much. It was just so lovely and we will certainly be back. Thank you so much.

Beautiful place. Perfect for visiting Glastonbury and Wells. The space was spotless and so cosy. The bed is so beautiful and comfortable. Kate is a lovely host, and we even get some fresh eggs as a gift.

We had a fantastic week at this Airbnb! It was so quiet, away from any loud traffic and the home and garden was lovely. The Airbnb was clean, modern and tidy and we loved the seating area in the garden. It’s also located in a great spot with lots to do in the area and a 25 minute drive from the beach. Would highly recommend to everyone and Penny is so friendly. Thank you!

We had a great stay here! Christina was really friendly making us feel right at home. She gave us some local recommendations and allowed us to come and go with zero hassle. The surroundings are stunning and we could have sat by the window all day. Great walking near by. Beach is a drive able day trip too.

It was absolutely spotless.We where there for a wedding and after struggling to get a taxi to the reception. Chris our host drove us there. Fantastic stay.Would highly recommend. x

amazing place and beautiful town.. we loved the flat so well decorated such a good feel had everything we needed in the kitchen etc cooked both nights we were there and felt very at home 10/10 the town is also lovely so many cute shops and cafes lovely couple of nights :)

We booked here as two couples and had an amazing stay. Jacqui met us when we arrived and was very friendly and showed us what we needed to know. Everything was spotless and it is a very peaceful area. The swimming pool is fabulous and very well kept. The kitchen has everything you need. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and will be recommending to friends and family.

Jan was a lovely host. She was really good at getting things when requested - quick response. Everything you need for cooking is in the kitchen. Nice touch with a bottle of local milk and cider ready in the fridge. Great location and extremely peaceful. Bonus is the pool - well maintained as well as a very well maintained large garden. Love the sound of peacock calling and owls murmuring. Really nice village with a beautiful church and friendly dog walkers. Transported to a different world. Could have stayed longer.

Had a wonderful stay at Mary's Annex studio -comfortable with all the amenities as in the listing. The place was pristine clean! Bonus points for the kids play area and breakfast was sorted out by the well stocked kitchen. Mary and family were lovely!! Highly recommend the studio to explore the Dorset coast.

Simply perfect place for us to unwind and relax with stunning views , we walked out into the abundant countryside and even found a country pub for refreshments to carry on our return journey to our comfy perfectly placed home look forward to returning to Lucy Airbnb

Brilliant stay. Beautiful apartment, well equipped and convenient for the town, Abbey and eateries etc. Sarah and Tony are very approachable and get back to you quickly. Don't depend on being able to park outside though as only 4 spaces and only free from 6pm to 09.30. Best to park on the car park which is 2 minutes away and using the parking app is very reasonable. Great place to stay, loved the town and it's people. Thank you Sarah and Tony 😎

A lovely flat right in town, we were lucky to get to park right outside. Nice clean space. Sarah responded quickly to my questions.

The apartment was in a beautiful location with stunning views of the bay from both the bedroom and down on the decking / hot tub. The apartment was spotless and could tell no expense was spared when creating this space. It had everything you could need in the kitchen, as well as lots of little extras which make all the difference. We were lucky to have beautiful weather so felt like we were on holiday for the 2 days we were there when on the loungers on the private decking. Wouldn’t change anything and would definitely stay at Bay View again! Thank you Lisa for a wonderful, relaxing stay!

What a wonderful place to stay for a really relaxing weekend. The annex was perfect for the two of us with everything we needed and Mari was very welcoming and informative. Would highly recommend.

A lovely clean self contained annex with everything you need for a short stay including secure outside space. Nice extra touches including milk and dog treats. Great location for exploring. Perfect host.

We stayed here to break the journey to Cornwall. David was so quick at responding to us and was great at recommending places to eat after our long drive. The Hse itself was just like the pictures, spotlessly clean and we loved the little touches they have added to make you feel at home. It was perfect for what we needed.

Only stayed 2 nights but enjoyed our stay. We used the pool which was lovely. The local pub was nice and the food was great. The accommodation was very comfortable and had everything we needed.

Travelling on a motorbike limited how much stuff we could bring so it was great to stay in such well equipped accommodation. It had everything we needed. Lovely and clean, peaceful and the undercover parking out of sight was great. Definitely recommend a stay.
