Monthly Rentals in Sommervieu

We had a great stay, the accommodation was comfortable and tastefully decorated, small private terrace comfortable and pleasant. We appreciated that the accommodation was a little secluded, because we were in a quiet area but everything is quite close by car.

Marion described the quirky access very well, and his friend Eduard walked back in the rain to make sure I got in. The place has no street sign with the hotel name, but it sits squarely in the middle of "restaurant row" in the very heart of Bayeux. A 5 minute walk takes you to either the Bayeux Tapestry or the pickup point for all D-Day tours (Place de Québec). Marion's place is very clean full-amenity apartment -- a great value!

We LOVED our stay in Sommervieu. The house was simply idyllic, surrounded by flowers and with a nearby (but not too close!) field of friendly cows wandering by. The house itself was very quiet, comfortable, and fully equipped, with everything one would need in the kitchen, loads of books and games, and firewood for a roaring fire. We didn’t use the bikes or outdoor seating because the weather didn’t cooperate, but would love to come back and try them someday. Sophie and François were super attentive, offering local suggestions and also pointers for when we moved on to Paris, suggesting a restaurant in Paris where we later had a delicious lunch! Thank you so much for hosting us, we hope to come back!

Fantastic place to stay, local amenities good and ideal for visiting local D Day beaches and memorial places. House is very good and clean, Claudie was very helpful.
