Pet-friendly holiday rentals in South Hams District

Amy's cottage is just as advertised , location is perfect, right on the river beach, its easy to find, and just a short walk from train station. The shops and several little cafes , bakeries and pubs, are all within a short stroll , many are dog friendly. Amy's cottage has everything you could need and its all very clean cosy and comfortable .Amy was quick to answer my queries and gave me good directions for getting there. Thank you for a lovely seaside break , me and my little dog would love to stay again .

We spend a week at Ringmore, but could have easily stayed several weeks due to the lovely atmosphere of the cottage, the village and the attractive surrounding. House and garden are beautiful. You can feel at home instantly. The house is bright and friendly and well equipped. The beautiful surrounding invites to stray around, walk to the beach, enjoy the landscape, walk the coastal path starting from the house at Ayrmer Cove, a small beach with amazing rocks. And have dinner at the Journeys End Inn with a very nice variety of food and of course ales. There are many more things to explore: lovely villages, churches, cathedrals, ports, gardens, museums, estuarys, Dartmoor, great coast ... The host Anna was very nice and gave us lots of information. Thanks a lot for staying at this special place and experiencing a wonderful atmosphere!

Wonderful location and comfortable, well designed home. A little village out on its own with so much character and some great walks which are medium hard but good distances either way - to the left in the next village the Cricket Inn is delicious food and friendly staff - to the right a lighthouse. The views and beach really make this place… as well as being a close drive to Salcombe and Dartmouth. The house being is well stocked, stylish and comfortable so makes for easy living. We were a family of 7 and a dog and would highly recommend it. We did a Sainsbury’s food delivery to the house twice to make getting groceries easy and that worked perfectly too.

We had an amazing weeks stay at the barn. Steve and Tessa were such amazing host, the barn is immaculate, clean, comfortable and very welcoming. They both went above to ensure that we were comfortable, providing extra dog towels, Steve instructions on how to find the barn, checking that we were warm enough and had everything we need. The barn is surrounded by beautiful tranquil forest and miles of walking routes. Thank you so much for having us .

Andrew is a great host and friendly, let our daughter pet their pet lambs and gave us recommendations of local beaches. You can’t walk anywhere from their house as the roads are lanes with no paths. So driving everywhere was required. But apart from that it was perfect

one of the best places we have stayed in hosts are very friendly the den is spotless and well equipped got everything you need and more fantastic value for money definitely go back ten out of ten 😀

Wow wow wow! Headland hideaway is stunning! Absolutely gorgeous, Mike was amazing!!! Messaged every day to check all is okay, send photos of the signpost where to turn and exactly where to park etc. his food recommendation were helpful and stop on! Tried lots and all were amazing! The pool was the biggest hit and we were so lucky when we stayed we had amazing weather! Everything was spotless and modern, loved the remote control curtains! A fabulous half term dreamy weekend! Thank you so much Mike! It was an absolute pleasure!

We had booked in for a very short stay of only two nights but we wish it had been longer, much longer. We cannot fault The Signal Box; everything to make a stay pleasant, convenient and enjoyable had been thought of. The exceptional view, the history of Luckett Station, the friendly sheep, the hot-tub, the superbly comfortable bed - all combined to make this an experience that we will remember for a long time to come. The entire property was beautifully kept, with immaculate gardens and a very high standard inside. The instructions for access on arrival to the property were clear and easy to follow and the business is obviously very well run. Definitely worth recommending to others and a return visit. Thank you for having us.

We spent the half term break at Little Burston with our two young children, we had a wonderful time. The accommodation was everything we hoped from the previous brilliant reviews and more. A clean, bright and large space. Well equipped with everything you could want (games, DVD’s, kitchen utensils). A tranquil and peaceful setting not far away from Dulverton and within striking distance of lots of activities. The hot tub kept the adults happy and the kids loved the garden, trampoline and games of football. Carol was a great host, instructions left at the property were clear and easy. Walking recommendations all great. Goats and chickens out of the kitchen window was a highlight for the kids. Up there with the best Airbnb’s we’ve been to in the UK. We would not hesitate to return, if visiting North Devon again and couldn’t recommend this place highly enough.

We had an amazing stay at Lesley’s. I wish we could have stayed longer. There was so much to do in the local areas. The caravan was spot on, lovely and clean and we were very grateful for the little hamper and milk when we arrived. Everything was clean and tidy and we particularly loved all the fleecy blankets for that extra cosy touch. Thank you Lesley. Would 100% recommend and stay again

My friends and I stayed at Louise’s place for a long weekend, and it was a wonderful time. The house fit 11 adults no problem. Lovely and quiet, the pool was so much fun, and we made good use of the fire pit to have s’mores. Harry gave us a tour of the dairy farm & beehives, & let us see the calves which was lovely. Louise was a fab host, very good communicator and always at hand if needed. Great stay overall!

Yet again we had a fantastic break in this great holiday home. This is our third visit and ready to book again for next year (if they will have us ) lol. Keep up the great job in hosting that you both do so well, and thanks again Ted.

We loved our trip to Goodleigh. The farm was beautiful, the stables were beautiful - the hot tub was a real treat. The kids loved the rope swing and we played many of the games. The place was just beautiful, the decor, location and comfy beds were perfect for our week away. We visited some lovely beaches (30 min drive tops), Combe Martin and Lynton/ Lynmouth were favourites of ours. We visited a recommended pub - The Black Venus Inn was amazing, food was great. A perfect week and would 100% recommend.

Great location, picturesque views, spacious living room and kitchen with all appliances, we also enjoyed sunny weather in the decking area. Good value for money. Overall, very pleased with the stay.

We loved our late spring first stay here in this beautiful and spacious wonderful escape in the heart of Dartmoor, which we know well and keep coming back to. The Potting Shed is so well designed and appointed with everything needed for a relaxing break. Super comfortable bed, great shower, fully equipped kitchen and living spaces, lovely brilliantly creative design throughout. Everything in as-new spotless condition. It should win awards. It was such a pleasure to meet and chat with wonderful hosts Patricia and Simon. Thank you very much.

This has to be one of our favourite Airbnb stays, it was so unique, we were so impressed with the imaginative use of space and the gorgeous decor. A perfect stay for the two of us and the dog! Blackpool Sands is pretty to look at, but you can’t set foot on it with a dog, not even the cafe. However, Strete Gate beach and Torcross beach are both a short drive away and are both lovely beaches to walk the dog along. Highly recommend The Green Dragon pub for drinks and food. The little corner shop was great and did fab takeaway coffees. We also had amazing fish and chips at The Start Bay Inn. A perfect place to stay and explore the surrounding areas!

Lovely, quiet, dog friendly cottage and the perfect location for exploring the area. The kitchen/ living extension is a great space with good views over the surrounding countryside. The village car park is only minutes away if you can’t park outside. The cottage was very clean, well equipped with comfy beds. Andrea was very responsive and helpful, we look forward to returning before too long.

Spa Lodge was a welcome retreat from city life. set in a verdant garden only a short walk from fantastic beaches. we loved every minute of our stay.

What a fabulous find. Emma was a superb host with plenty of recommendations and even offered to drive us to and from town! absolutely beautiful place and the garden was perfect for both us and our Goldie, Wilf. Would absolutely recommend this place to stay. Loved it.

We had a fantastic time at Higher Lodge! the house its self was beautiful and very well presented. it has all the amenities required for a long stay including washer/dryer. plenty of space inside and out, including a beautiful big garden. The house is situated a stones throw from lots of things to do, including Cockington Court (Arts, Crafts & Independent shops) Cafe's, Lots of lovely walks & the Drum Inn pub. We really didn't want to leave and will definitely be back!

Perfectly situated with stunning views. We didn’t use the car at all during our stay as the local buses run in all directions. A visit to the Steam Packet Inn is a must for a tasty meal & a drink. We were lucky that our stay coincided with the Dartmouth Music Festival & enjoyed live music on 2 nights in the Steam Packet. The area is a walker’s delight with a range is walks to suit all abilities. I cannot recommend this wonderful Airbnb highly enough & hope to return for another stay in the future. I didn’t want to leave!

We had such a lovely weekend stay. The old pottery was spacious and peaceful with beautiful views! Catherine was always responsive and really helpful.
